This is a good article with good info. The writing is first rate. I like how Garth Brooks was identified as a country music phoney. As an aside Steve Sailor's one sided diatribe against Grover Lindquist was also, IMHO, a pretty big hit for the NRA. I mean Sailor sure could have balanced his story with a mention or two of Gush Emunim or the recent increase in Israeli civilians carrying guns. But no, same old thing, he had to implicitly promote the White guy gun nut caricature by linking Lindquist to "Arab activists" - vdare peecee code words for Islamic Jihad types. (http://www.vdare.com/sailer/norquist.htm)

One thing that I would add is that outlawing 50 cal BMG rifles is probably number one for stateside NWO priorities for disarming White guys.

Here's a link showing how sophisticated the attack on the 50 cal rifles has become (and not one crime has been committed with a 50 cal to my knowledge)

Intersting note on the 50 cal rifles. One things for sure, they would be nice to own but damn are they expensive.

I have a friend of a friend who has a Barret 50. BMG. Not only do you have to spend about $5500 on the rifle itself, you need a special heavy duty scope to take the recoil from that firearm: again, your looking at least at $2000. I know for a fact this guy has $10,000 in this gun. And he can't hit the side of a troll with it. This guy is about five feet tall, has a monster truck, a lot of other sizable purchases I can't recall, and a serious Napolean complex. The only thing you're going to get from shooting that gun is a monster flinch that will definitely carry over into shooting other weapons. I know this for a fact because now this guy can't hit the side of a Covington with a .308/.30.06, etc., although he probably wasn't a very good shot in the first place. Guys that crave guns like this rarely are. Is anyone reading this really going to snipe someone/something/some animal from 1500 yds? I'd like to see that. You can't even reload .50 BMG because there's no press in production big enough to handle the case. The cost of a round is $5-$40 EACH. That's for civilian ammo, of course. The military ammo that snipers are getting confirmed kills with at ranges of over 1000 yds are completely unavailable--you really think you're going to sneak out some radioactive rounds--and nobody's going to notice? BTW, any weapon using radioctive ammo, e.g., Browning .50 machine gun, can only be used for that ammo from then on. Tomorrow I'm purchasing a Remington 700 Police Sniper Special in .308, $800 with a Leopold scope (I got a hell of deal on it). That's as high end and far out a long range rifle as anyone not currently in Delta Force should be considering. For any sane person looking to hunt, defend themself and their family, target shoot, snipe, etc., the .50 BMG is a pointless extravagance.

Agreed. It is a big and nice looking gun but its just ...BIG LOL. I myself will probably get an M-14.

I don't have a 50 cal, I do think I will try to buy one if I get the slightest hint they'll be outlawed. Because once it becomes generally known that they will be outlawed they will disappear overnight. They're probably not a beginner's rifle, understanding stuff like scope eye relief must be critical with a 50. Not that I know a whole helluva lot. I just became reaquainted with firearms since 9-11.

I think the civilian equivalent of the M14 - the M1A - is a good rifle.

BTW, if anyone's been wondering why commercial aviation pilots are still not armed here's an excerpt that pretty much tells it all:

<<<Understand that the TSA is opposed to the armed pilot program. Last year, the TSA granted itself the power to revoke a pilot's ATP if it deems him to be a security threat. Pilots who volunteer for training to carry guns must complete a very detailed, 13-page application and submit to a three-hour written psychological exam probing into the most private workings of any person: his thoughts, feelings, opinions and emotions. Pilots who pass this government-sponsored psychological strip-search are then ordered to report to a government psychologist for a one-on-one "interview."
For the pilots that finally make it into training, they will have to travel at their own expense to and pay for their own room and board in Artesia, N.M. Artesia is a four-hour drive from El Paso, Texas, the nearest city. >>>>

And what are the odds that the psychological strip-search will be carried out by a jew or a shabbos goy?

Tactically, technically and economically there's no way your selections can faulted. But all the same I'll stick with the M1A non-match rifle at about $1,300.

BTW, here's probably one of the best examples around of the Jewish double standard on gun control:

"...I am quite comfortable in Israel with the sight of soldiers standing with machine guns and the knowledge that even a fair number of the civilians around me are probably packing heat. The seminal event in my Zionist consciousness, despite my being born after 1967 and having serious misgivings about Israel’s control over the territories, is still the dramatic victory of a Jewish army in the Six-Day War. Put me in New York, however, and suddenly the National Rifle Association symbolizes this country’s darkest side. It’s as if my subconscious knows instinctively that the moment we land at JFK Airport, it becomes time to stash away those images of Israeli soldiers taking control of Jerusalem’s Old City, of Moshe Dayan standing at the Western Wall, and to replace them with the familiar photograph of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel marching by the side of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr...."
