Here former forum member shewolfofna makes an article on gardening, thus complimenting VNNforum by the sincere flattery of imitation.

I would rather have read a story about the feds ransacking her place during the Lefkow fiasco.
Anyhow, gardening is great, a good productive activity in the most literal sense!

nice article and cute picture too!
We are raising our beds this year because of the dog factor.
What I read and will try - ammonina sprayed around the perimeter of the garden, also hatemall suggested hydrogen peroixde.
He is so interested in the birds - hopefully he'll forget how to dig.
We have a robin that has come back (this is the 4th year) and this bird is very terrioritial, anyway, it was fun watching the bird perch on the fence while my dog stared and waited for him to fly off, the bird, swooped down, to tease my dog and then flew back up to the neighbor's yard. The robin thinks he owns our backyard, haha, they make nests inside our upstairs deck. I think they are trying to rebuild.

We have a Collie that fiercly defends our skies from all forms of predators, and is 100% successful! She is quite proud of herself when she deters oncoming aircraft from her territory. :)

Cute analogy!
There are 4 robin eggs in the nest under the deck and some other type of bird (small, male has a red coat and female is brown) has built a second nest on top of our porch light - I already removed the first one, I couldn't tell if there are eggs, would need to get out the ladder. I went ahead and left it because we mainly use the side door rather than the front door.
