I have already begun to save seeds and Wal-mart has potting soil on clearance for $3.00 a bag. When it gets down to $2.00 or a dollar I am going to buy about twenty dollars worth. That will yield about $4,000 worth of plants. I got my sprouting bins for about two cents each. And by saving seeds from my expensive vegetables that is free.
The cheap potting soil is already on clearance at Wal-mart at a dollar for 8 pounds. It works well also but I use the good stuff. The dollar bags go down to fifty cents a bag and I could sprout several thousand seeds for about $5.00 by using that. The sprouting bins are a one time cost so I don’t count them from year to year.
Now twenty dollars may seem like much for something you have to save 6 months but I brought in 90 vegetables today from a 10 square foot garden. That garden yields about 20-30 pounds of food a day by itself. I have 4 acres planted, and I can plant it all for about $20.00. Out of my 10 square foot garden I get about 20 pounds of tomatoes a day and I have about 10 different kinds planted. The cheap tomatoes are $2.00 a pound here and I have some really rare and expensive ones planted this year. So at rock bottom prices that is $40.00 worth of just tomatoes a day. I have about 30 cents in the tomato plants.
In addition to them I am getting cayenne peppers and cucumbers. A lot of my other stuff hasn’t even begun to produce yet. When the watermelons and pumpkins begin to produce I will be getting about 200 pounds of food or better a day.
So now is the time to buy cheap garden products for next year. And if you save your seeds you will be able to sprout your own seeds (I don’t use a green house just a metal rack for a table) and plant a sizeable garden for less than $10.00. By sprouting my own seeds and buying the 50-cent potting soil I could plant an acre for about $10.00. That many plants at the green house would cost around $400.
All the gardening equipment goes on clearance this week and the next at Wal-mart, you can buy tools and such for a nickel on the dollar.
He best way to stick it to the Jew is to smart shop so Hymie doesn’t get any more of your shekels than necessary.
