Theyre dirt cheap, but I've heard good things about them. Thinking of picking one up. Have a lot of 7.62x39 ammo laying around anyway. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

I've got a Chinese SK, it's a paratrooper model, shorter than the standard ones. Everyone says to avoid the Chink ones, and get a Romanian model, but I've never had any problems with mine.

They are pretty reliable, but their accuracy sucks at long ranges.

I would recommend scrapping the standard five round mag and getting a fixed 10 round mag. Avoid the detachable magazines, with the SK's I've fired they jam like hell.

I would concur with the statement about Yugo SKS's. The weapon is solid. And it loves inexpensive Wolf 7.62!

I'm a bit of an sks connisuer.I love them all!but I find the Russian to be slightly more accurate.they are easy to glass bed as far as any rifle goes,and that greatly increases accuracy.[just remember to cover the cleaning rod channel in paper tape!!]if you can get access to a good selection of rifles,get the ones with an MP prefix to the serial#they're marked russian but are actually early cold war east german! :D

They are made by slaves and the metal parts often vary in size quite a bit, as if made by hand. You try to swap out the gas tube on one chink sks it's liable to be to long for another Chink SKS.

Never had a problem w/ my Chi-Com AK. Loves Wolf 7.62 and never jams. And it's Norinco. Maybe I just got lucky. Of course I'd REALLY love to have an East German or Russian AK! A bit hard to find these days for a decent price.

I'd look real close at any sks that reports to be russian,if you see mp it's actually german.it's the most accurate of all the sks rifles I've shot,but beware!the gas system and chamber are not chromed!just the bore,so avoid the shit ammo or save it for a gook gun. :)

I have two chink SKS's, A MAC-90 and a 54-1. All Norinco, all shoot great and accurate. No problems here.

I remember the ones which were clearly reconditioned, with nice varnished stocks, some sort of black finish, and phosphate blade bayonets. remember when they were 150. imported as curios and relics, like the yugos are now. alongside the chink sks, they were mighty fine.

a chink sks inspires about as much joy in me as a slope slot. as in, NADA. Nyet on Chink SKS. They are made by slaves. The Simonov carbine was designed and made by proud Slavs, not slaves.

No offense there but hes kind of right. I dont know if English is your first language or not or if all those other usernames which kind of remind me of you- Nick Nolte/Der Fuhrer/Turk Hunter/ etc. What I mean is, sometimes your posts are kind of hard to understand and sometimes you just post some really weird stuff that doesn't really make sense one way or another. He actually posted this somewhere and I use situations like this as a trump card when, as in this case, someone who has never posted anything humurous decides to play troll out here, not knowing how to. What pisses me off is that this troll never answers serious posts, although pretending to challenge serious debate. This person is self-important and wants to dictate to others what he prefers that they post and what they shouldn’t just because he donates whatever amount to VNN. Hadding isn’t even that divorced from reality. Nobody tells this guy to shut up and it’s even been too long since the other Kike troll has farted a wet one into his mouth, let alone now and then for gööd measure.

I use 2 languages on this forum. As they say, when learning a 2nd language, some of the 1st gets lost, especially when even more are learned in addition. More languages usually means not being gööd at any. Nick Nolte made the F…. up of accidentally answering the wrong post, causing some confusion.
