Info about Stav-strong spiritual component-
Stav is a multi-faceted system which makes a simple explanation difficult. Stav is a traditional philosopical system designed to train the mind, body and spirit. To try and put this simply it is a set of recommendations, guidelines and suggestions on how to live your life. Given that it has been around for over 1500 years it has a wealth of experience and personal events to draw on.

Speaking of drinking, and Irish stick fighting...

Rince an Bhata Uisce Bheatha (Whiskey Stick 'Dancing')

Irish stick fighting emerged sometime in the 17th century when the Irish were banned from owning formal weapons. At that time the innocent looking walking stick, called a bata or shillelagh, came into use as a serious weapon. In the centuries that followed, stick fighting became an integral part of Irish culture. It was used in Faction Fights, wedding and funeral brawls, and settling disputes...The art of stick fighting was passed down from generation to generation, each father passing his techniques and nuances of style on to his sons. In this way, Rince an Bhata Uisce Bheatha was passed down through numerous Doyles to one Edward Doyle who emigrated to the island of Newfoundland around the year 1867. Newfoundland, was pretty much an isolated island with a large Irish population so many of the old Irish customs and traditions were not lost as the 20th century progressed.

Eh everyone has "Stickfighting" in their background. A pretty obvious wide spot on the highway of weapon evolution. Niggers in africa are still doing it, and it's their cutting edge. The stickfighters are the knights of their tibe hahah. Saw a show the other night but don't remember the tribe. I used to have stick fights with the other kids in the neighborhood, I guess that's our culture :)

Funny video of "Morris Dancers" here .. it's like stickfighting on quaaludes crossed with squaredancing, and in this case a hyperactive UK negroid rapper provides the soundtrack in the form of an animated chinchilla: http://www.rathergood.com/morris_dancers/

Yeah I know that's pretty different heheh but it reminded me.

Knowing how to belt someone with a stick is not the same thing as 'stick-fighting', much as knowing how to punch someone doesn't make you a boxer.

Just got this in the old e-mail...
