Can anyone tell me how to post a pic on a thread? I don't mean the button for adding "attachments". I mean so that when someone scrolls down to your post, the pic's already displayed - you don't have to click on the "see attachment" little thingy there. (Sorry.....I'm not exactly the biggest computer whiz 'round here).
Much appreciated.

when you find a pic you want to post
1. right click and select "view image"
2. use the copy function to save the address for the image
3. to post it here, click on the little insert image icon
4. paste the image address in the box provided
try it. i could have left something out.

I'm missing something, I can't get it to work either. Is it cut and paste or is it copy or what? When I select cut at the image then paste is disabled (gray) here. I get brackets; [IMG] but what command transfers the image from 'My Pictures' to forum entry?

Try using the "EDIT" function on your browser, at the top of the screen, next to FILE.
PM me if it doesn't work.

Heres the lowdown (without sounding niggerish) on image posting.
The [IMG] tag is for putting up URL's of images off the net. This will make the image visible on the post and doesn't require you to click on anything. This is the ONLY way to post images off the net...unless you save the image and add it as an attachment.
If you want to post images off of your computer you have to use the Manage Attachments when you're posting. This does REQUIRE you to click on the picture/name of picture inside a post to see that picture. There is no way to interchange these unless you can get a picture off of your harddrive and host it on the net somewhere.

Still stumped...If you have pics saved to your pc, do this:
-hit "red management" button on bottom
-then hit "browse" when box comes up
-then select your pic
-then hit "add this file"
-then hit "all done"
-then just submit
Wallah!!!!

Do you see the photo in the text-box before you submit? I suppose you do.... I haven't yet achieved that. I'll fiddle with it again using your latest instruction.

Yes, you'll see the pic. Just hit "select", then do the rest of the above.

Does it meet the requirements in size? 40k I think.
Click on Manage Attachments. Browse and then select your picture. Click on Add This File and let the picture be added to the menu. After you have attached all the pics you want click on All Done. Then just post the post.

If you post a jpeg it will have a miniature picture of it that has to be clicked on to fully see. Anything else will just be an attachment. If a picture is posted on the internet you can get its URL and post it using hte IMG tag and the image will be fully seen on the post.

Yes, that attachment had the paint program with it. Its a doodle I did with the spray can and stuck in my pictures unfinished and unedited. I just grabbed it because it was small. Listening and learning.

OK, but you can't upload a "Paint" pic. you have to store it as a JPEG
