PARIS, France (AP) -- The managing editor of a French newspaper has been fired over publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad that are inflaming the Muslim world, where Pakistani protesters on Thursday chanted "Death to France!" and Gaza gunmen demanded apologies from European governments.

The furor over the drawings, which first ran in a Danish paper in September, cuts to the question of which is more sacred in the Western world, freedom of expression or respect for religious beliefs?

Arrest in Jennifer Ross Murder Case

Police have made an arrest in the murder of 19-year-old Jennifer Ross. They are not releasing a lot of information at the moment in this high-profile case, but this afternoon they arrested Michael Thorpe, 25, who they say shot Ross.

Investigators say he is a key suspect and more arrests may follow.

Ross was shot in Orleans Square in Savannah on Christmas Eve. She was walking with some friends after going to a cotillion downtown when a group of men tried to mug them, then shot Ross in the stomach. She died on New Year's Day.

Mental health counselor charged

Hays had worked at the Peace River Center since last summer.

A Polk County mental health counselor was arrested Wednesday for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Investigators said Terrence Hays, who worked at the Peace River Center mental health organization in Bartow, smoked marijuana with a 16-year-old girl he was supposed to be helping kick a drug problem.

Investigators said Hays, of 1652 Mahaffey Circle in Lakeland, visited the girl at her home in Lakeland and they smoked marijuana together. She drank alcohol and they watched a porn video.

The girl secretly taped the episode and later showed it to her parents, who called law enforcement.

The Peace River Center said Hays, 29, has worked for the 350-employee company since last summer and all his background checks with law enforcement were spotless.

"Not only that, he had additional fantastic references," said Margaret Perry of the Peace River Center. "He has a master's degree and he was working on his PhD."

A police officer examines the scene of the crash.
LOS ANGELES – The patients were lining up at the medical clinic, just like any weekday. Up the street, a white Lincoln and a black Nissan were turning a slice of blacktop into an illegal raceway, dueling at 90 mph.
Suddenly, the cars clipped each other and the Nissan veered wildly out of control and rocketed into a street-corner clinic, leaving 13 people injured, six critically.

"I was not drag racing," Ijumaa Owens told KCAL-TV. "And they pushed me into the wall, and I hurt some innocent people for nothing, because they're wrong for doing it."

In a dispute over a failed pension plan, Ira L. Rennert may lose his home, valued at $185 million. It has 29 bedrooms, 39 bathrooms, a 164-seat theater, two bowling alleys, a restaurant-size kitchen, a 2.5 million-B.T.U. furnace, and a parking garage that could hold 200 cars. Quite a cozy little shack. Don't feel too bad, in the unlikely event he loses it, he has several homes elsewhere, including one in Israel.
A bankruptcy court is scheduled today to consider a reorganization plan for WCI Steel that calls for moving the business assets out of the steel company and leaving the pension plan in an empty corporate shell. If that happened, the agency would lose its ability to tap Renco Group’s assets.
When a pension plan defaults, the pension agency has the power under law to go after the assets of any companies that are more than 80 percent controlled by the same corporate parent. In this case, the pension agency said Renco had more than enough money to make the pension fund fully solvent. The fund was established in 1995 to pay benefits for about 2,000 steelworkers and retirees in Warren.

Goyfire is great and I have nothing but praise.

Please allow me to make one suggestion.

When Craig speaks, it seems to be his way of talking, that the volume of his voice trails-off toward the end of sentences, thus making those last few words almost inaudible.

Maybe some adjustments could be made with his microphone to help relieve this problem. It’s not a matter of increasing the volume on my speakers, because if I do that and when the other fellows talk, I am blasted-out.

When Craig speaks, he always has something very important to impart to us, and I don’t want to miss a word of what he has to say!

Thanks to all involved with this great show.

Best Regards,

I have spoken with Chain about that and we are doing our best to correct that problem. If its physically impossible during the recording process to fix the problem, then I do what I can in post to remedy the situation. As you know, its not like everyone is sitting in the same studio so that each person's input volume can be tightly controlled. I try to impart mic use tips when needed but things still go wrong.

Thanks for your input Brutus!

even with television and how bad modern education is it's probably the increase of blacks and mexicans that is the most important factor in the decline of literacy mentioned in both studies. Only the first one mentions race

NEW STUDY OF THE LITERACY OF COLLEGE STUDENTS FINDS SOME ARE GRADUATING WITH ONLY BASIC SKILLS
http://www.air.org/news/documents/Release200601pew.htm

Twenty percent of U.S. college students completing 4-year degrees – and 30 percent of students earning 2-year degrees – have only basic quantitative literacy skills, meaning they are unable to estimate if their car has enough gasoline to get to the next gas station or calculate the total cost of ordering office supplies, according to a new national survey by the American Institutes for Research (AIR). The study was funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The AIR study found there is no difference between the quantitative literacy of today’s graduates compared with previous generations, and that current graduates generally are superior to previous graduates when it comes to other forms of literacy needed to comprehend documents and prose.

(...)

The new study, “The National Survey of America’s College Students,” (NSACS) is based on a sample of 1,827 graduating students from 80 randomly selected 2-year and 4-year public and private colleges and universities across the United States. By targeting students nearing the end of their degree programs, the study provides a broader and more comprehensive picture of fundamental college literacy skills than ever before.

“The surprisingly weak quantitative literacy ability of many college graduates is troubling,” says Dr. Stéphane Baldi, who directed the AIR study. “A knowledgeable workforce is vital to cope with the increasing demands of the global marketplace.”

Study findings include:

* More than 75 percent of students at 2-year colleges and more than 50 percent of students at 4-year colleges do not score at the proficient level of literacy. This means that they lack the skills to perform complex literacy tasks, such as comparing credit card offers with different interest rates or summarizing the arguments of newspaper editorials.

* Students in 2- and 4-year colleges have the greatest difficulty with quantitative literacy: approximately 30 percent of students in 2-year institutions and nearly 20 percent of students in 4-year institutions have only Basic quantitative literacy. Basic skills are those necessary to compare ticket prices or calculate the cost of a sandwich and a salad from a menu.

* Students about to graduate from college have higher prose and document literacy than previous graduates with similar levels of education; for quantitative literacy, differences between current and former college graduates are not significant.

* There are no significant differences in the literacy of students graduating from public and private institutions. Additionally, in assessing literacy levels, there are no differences between part-time and full-time students. No overall relationship exists between literacy and the length of time it takes to earn a degree, or between literacy and an academic major.

* There are no significant differences between men and women in college in their average prose, document, and quantitative literacy – indicating that women may be bridging a divide that has long existed between the sexes.

* The average prose and quantitative literacy of Whites in 4-year institutions is higher than for any other racial/ethnic group, mirroring trends in the general population. The fact that white students also have the highest prose and document literacy among students in 2-year colleges provides further evidence that the literacy gap between minority and non-minority students persists.

* The literacy skills of college students are directly related to the education of their parents: children whose parents graduated college or attended graduate school have higher literacy than students whose parents did not graduate high school or stopped after receiving a high school diploma or GED.

* Despite variations in income, most differences in the literacy of students across income groups are not significant. The most significant disparity exists between students in 4-year institutions with the lowest and highest income backgrounds. Students in the highest income group (either their personal income or the income of their parents) have higher prose and document literacy than students in the lowest income group.

* Literacy level is significantly higher among students who say their coursework places a strong emphasis on applying theories or concepts to practical problems, in comparison to students who say their coursework rarely touch on these skills.

Literacy of College Graduates Is on Decline
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/24/AR2005122400701.html

Literacy experts and educators say they are stunned by the results of a recent adult literacy assessment, which shows that the reading proficiency of college graduates has declined in the past decade, with no obvious explanation.

"It's appalling -- it's really astounding," said Michael Gorman, president of the American Library Association and a librarian at California State University at Fresno. "Only 31 percent of college graduates can read a complex book and extrapolate from it. That's not saying much for the remainder."

While more Americans are graduating from college, and more than ever are applying for admission, far fewer are leaving higher education with the skills needed to comprehend routine data, such as reading a table about the relationship between blood pressure and physical activity, according to the federal study conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics.

Experts could not definitively explain the drop. [it can't be because of all the blacks and mexicans who are admitted thanks to anti-white discrimination, of course]

"The declining impact of education on our adult population was the biggest surprise for us, and we just don't have a good explanation," said Mark S. Schneider, commissioner of education statistics. "It may be that institutions have not yet figured out how to teach a whole generation of students who learned to read on the computer and who watch more TV. It's a different kind of literacy."

Somin, a law professor at George Mason University, observes in a new study for the Cato Institute that voters tend to be "abysmally ignorant of even very basic political information." This may not be news to scholars, who have documented it in depressing detail, "but the sheer depth of most individual voters' ignorance is shocking to observers not familiar with the research."

He offers some recent illustrations. According to polls taken this year, nearly 65 percent of the public doesn't know that Congress has banned partial-birth abortion. Seventy percent is unaware that a massive drug benefit has been added to Medicare. At least 58 percent say they have heard "nothing" or "not much" about the Patriot Act, notwithstanding the enormous amount of coverage the controversial law has drawn.

This is not a new problem. As Cold War tensions bristled in 1964, only 38 percent of the public knew that the Soviet Union was not a member of NATO. In 1970, only 24 percent could identify the secretary of state. In 1996, The Washington Post reported that 67 percent of Americans couldn't name their congressman and 94 percent had no idea that William Rehnquist was the chief justice of the United States. Only 26 percent knew that senators serve six-year terms and 73 percent didn't know that Medicare costs more than foreign aid.

Gallup found in January 2000 that while 66 percent of the public could name the host of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" only 6 percent knew the name of the speaker of the House. Last year, a Polling Company survey found that 58 percent of Americans could not name a single federal Cabinet department.

Alex said she looked happy. I don't think so
http://www.vanguardnewsnetwork.com/2006/savenigger.jpg

Mehgan Maples, 12, at first adapted well to the life of the missionary but has lately struggled with yet another new language, witnessing a female circumcision and making friends.

She let only a hint of despair seep into her voice as she went on: "I didn't really hear God talk to me telling me to be a missionary."

But Rick and Carrie knew as well that she was struggling. After their last home leave, after she went to public school near Danville for half of fifth grade, when it was time to return to her African life she "cried and cried and begged not to come back," Carrie said. Rick acknowledged that he had been - and still was - concerned. "But we wanted to give God the opportunity to work with us in the rough times."
(...)
"It seems like there's not any girls my age," she went on. "Most of them are off in the bush." She'd developed a crush, though, on a young moran. "But I wonder about what would happen - I'm one to think ahead, people might laugh at that, but that's the way I am - if it was serious. If we got married, would we have a Samburu wedding? What continent would we live on? I don't know what would happen. He would want to go this way and I would want to go that way." Thriving; cut off; confused and frightened by the prospect of spending the months and years of her growing up in a place that was not hers - "I'm praying," she said, "that something's going to happen to make me feel that I'm where I should be."

her father Rick Maples
http://www.vanguardnewsnetwork.com/2006/savenigger2.jpg

Her parents did. Rick and Carrie, whose Baptist church in California is deeply evangelical, spoke of receiving signs, affirmations that they were doing the right thing. Over the past century or more, Kenya has been a highly proselytized country; to go by the broad estimates of the U.S. State Department, 70 percent of Kenya's people now avow themselves Christian, with most of the rest divided between Islam and indigenous faiths. The Samburu, a tribe of about 150,000, worship their God, Ngai. Dispatched by a range of Christian agencies and representing a range of denominations, the missionaries strewn among the Samburu have made little progress. Religious statistics about the tribe are scarce; perhaps 2 to 9 percent are Christian. (Almost none are Muslim.)

Rick and Carrie talked about converting the Samburu in a new way. They envision developing what they call a Samburu-style church. They intend, gradually, to hold more and more Christian services not under a roof but under the acacia trees amid the manyattas. They want the sparsely attended church down the path from their house to be superseded. And they plan to teach the lessons of the Bible not through the preaching of written verses but through an emphasis on expansive storytelling that will fit with the Samburu's oral tradition. Rick said that the first lesson he had to impart, the first truth he had to instill in the people, was "a sense of sin and separation from God" - a separation that could be reconciled only through Jesus. He drew from 1 Corinthians to capture the essence of his message: "I give you Christ and Him crucified."

He and Carrie expect the truth to bring more than religious conversion. Once the people have accepted Jesus, they said, they hope to coax them to judge their traditions by the standards of the Gospel. In this way, they plan to inspire - not impose, they stressed - crucial elements of transformation in the culture. They want to elevate the lot of women, to end the ways women are treated as property. And they want to stop the rite of female circumcision, which Carrie and Meghan witnessed for the first time a few months before I arrived, the razoring out of the clitoris that is almost universally practiced among the Samburu. The Mapleses are in Kurungu, Rick said, because "there is unbelievable need."

A sense of humanity's dire need - need that is spiritual, need that is earthly - impels a legion of American Christian missionaries out into the world. Around 120,000 are currently stationed abroad, according to Todd Johnson, director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts. The legion includes members of mainline and evangelical Protestant denominations; it includes Catholics and Mormons and members of the nondenominational megachurches flourishing throughout the United States. One-fourth, Johnson estimates, are spread over Africa, with another quarter in Latin America, a quarter in Europe, one-sixth in Asia and the rest cast over the islands of Oceania. The 120,000 accounts for only those committed to their distant posts for at least two years; short-term missionaries are harder to track. But, tallying only Protestants, the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College puts the number who served for between two weeks and a year in 2001 (the most recent figure available) at 346,000. Some Christian emissaries are driven solely to proselytize. Others limit themselves to good deeds, to embodying Christ's message without speaking it aloud. For some, Johnson told me, "if you don't mention Jesus in every other sentence, there's something wrong." For others, "just handing out a cup of water is enough." For most, the work involves both word and water.

I had a chance to listen to most of the show last night after work...a few comments on some points made during the show.

Alex Linder made what I think is an extremely important point, and one WNists need to contend with. The combination of a dumbed down White folk who are also deracinated makes for a particularly toxic combination. More on this in a moment...

Agis raised the question as to whether the economic destruction taking place in the White world and especially intensely in the Kwa might simply be more destructive than polarizing and radicalizing the White population. If I recall A. Linder replied that Whites are too well fed and that the economic destruction can't help but radicalize Whites. I'm not so sure, I think Agis makes a good point, worse may simply be worse for us with no upside, and given that increasingly Whites are just dumber and more deracinated, each reinforcing the other, it makes outreach that much more difficult to impossible. In other words, because they're so stupid it makes communicating with Whites very difficult, and because they're deracinated racialist appeal doesn't get very far, and because they're too stupid to do any thinking we can't easily racialize them. That's the Kwa today...I think Whites are disgruntled if for no other reason then maybe their subconscious understands they're racially on the precipice of extinction, but the conscious mind has been shortcircuited courtesy of the jew.

For those who've seen Robocop 2, there's a jewess shrink who ends up rewriting Robocop's protocols, and it's such classic jew, rule upon rule, some in contradiction, that ultimately it has the effect of paralyzing Robocop to the point that he can't engage in any action, let alone effect arrests. This is in effect the White condition in the Kwa, paralyzed to the point of being unable to think or act. Robocop solved his jewish problem by sending high voltage and amps through his system to wipe the jewish programming out, one could say he shocked his system free. Whites are going to have to do the same, and it does I believe require the worse is better concept.

Things WILL and more importantly DO need to get worse for Whitey, to the point that all bets are off and as Linder suggests radicalization will be possible. BUT, there is a great danger in that the cure may actually kill us at the same time.

I'm still of the opinion that the Kwa is lost beyond any hope of demographic recovery, but I do think the few White lands still remaining CAN and MUST preserve their racial purity. If they can, and TSHTF globally, Whites might be able to make a comeback over time, hopefully with some serious lessons learned and previous mistakes not repeated. Basically I think we need to play for time, protect what we still have and hope, yes HOPE, that it all comes tumbling down bigtime, the ultimate shock to the system.

Good catch, VLC. The Christian dad should be whipped for throwing his daughter to the lions. But that kind of insanity is pretty much par for the course with those clowns. I mean, start with Jesus. Don't fight, quit. Give up. Play the martyr. The girl's trying to adjust to what's forced on her, which is all she can do at this point. Whites should worry about Whites. Without us, there won't be any animals of value left on this planet.

Good points. No one knows how things will break down, or what will happen after that point. The things we Whites need to do are the same in any case, whether there are 15,000 of us, or 15,000,000 or 150m. We must grow stronger on every front, and provide solid answers for seekers. In time I do believe there will be more seekers. People are dumb and deracinated, but that cuts two ways. Whites can be taught in short order what the truth is. Their willingness to follow depends on what they have to lose.

We here at VNN develop on every front, personal and political. We're moving as quickly as we can.
