Mel Gibson is to receive the Outstanding Contribution to World Cinema Award at the fifth annual Irish Film and Television Awards in Dublin on 17 February.

Gibson will attend the ceremony at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre to accept the award, the first award of its kind to be presented by the Academy.

The Australian actor has starred in over 48 film and television productions in a career that spans over four decades. He is best known in Ireland for 1994's 'Braveheart', which he starred in and directed in Ireland.http://www.rte.ie/arts/2008/0208/gibsonm.html

Ireland's Jewish community has been left deeply angered by the Irish Film and Television Awards decision to honour film star Mel Gibson.

The Hollywood star is expected in Dublin for the ceremony next Sunday -- but a leading Rabbi living in Ireland has launched a scathing attack on the decision to make the award in the light of Gibson's widely publicised anti-Semitic comments made while he was drunk.http://www.independent.ie/national-news/irish-jewish-community-condemns-gibson-award-1286377.html

Mels made some great films and deserves the recognition from people who enjoyed his work, but kikes beings what they are, the slightest hint of exposing their evil nature means prove Mel was right and hate the man forever. The truth hurts hymie.
