What is National-Socialism ?

National-Socialism is a way of living which affirms that the purpose of our lives is to contribute to evolution in a positive way. We contribute to evolution when we do our duty to our folk, since our folk (our race and culture) is our connection to Nature: how Nature is manifest in us as human beings.

This duty which we have comes before our own personal pleasure, our own personal desires and even before our own personal happiness, and it is this duty which expresses our humanity. That is, when we do our duty we are acting in a human way. When, for whatever reason, we do not do this duty we are at best not using those qualities which make us human, and at worst are reverting back to being speaking animals who walk upright.

To do this duty requires us to use our will; that is, to be or strive to become self-disciplined. That is, we strive to change our life, our behaviour, because we realize life is about much more than our own pleasure, our own desires, our own comfort, security and happiness. We realize this when we accept that we, as individuals, are a nexus: a living connection between our ancestors, with their heritage and culture, and the better future which can be created by us acting in accord with the laws, the principles, of Nature.

The most fundamental law of Nature is that we, as living beings, depend upon Nature; that is, that we are part of the living, evolving, being which is Nature. Our very life is an expression of this being, and what we do, or do not do, affects Nature, for good or bad.

To understand our dependence upon Nature - and the dependence of Nature upon us - is to respect Nature, and thus the creations, the living beings, of Nature.

In relation to our own human species (who are living beings dependent upon Nature), this respect for Nature is made manifest when we act with honour toward other human beings, because honour is this understanding of Nature and our own purpose made manifest: made conscious. Our consciousness - our ability to reason, to restrain ourselves by using our will - is the mark of our humanity.

To act in a dishonourable way toward other human beings is to commit hubris: to be insolent (to show a lack of respect) toward Nature. Dishonourable behaviour is thus a denial of our very humanity.


Culture, Folk and Race:

National-Socialism expresses the natural truth that the living being which is Nature works to produce diversity and difference: that the evolution of Nature is a bringing-into-being of more diversity and more difference.

For our own, human, species this diversity of Nature is evident in the different races which exist, and in the different cultures which these races develope over time.

National-Socialism values this diversity and difference, and states that we should not only strive to maintain and aid this diversity, but also encourage the peoples and cultures which express this diversity and difference to continue to develope and evolve, for by so developing and evolving race and culture we are aiding the evolution of Nature and thus fulfilling our potential, as human beings.

Correctly understood, culture is a combination of : (1) the unique customs, outlook, traditions and achievements of a particular folk: a community, group, people or society; and (2) having a certain civilized way of life - the way of manners, reason, fairness, honour, and excellence. Culture is essentially an expression of our humanity - of what makes us human, and different from animals. A cultured person is thus a person who is civilized, and who possesses a sense of identity - who belongs to a particular culture and who lives the way of life of that culture.

A culture is manifest in a folk community: in a homeland where that folk dwell and to which that folk have or feel a special attachment. National-Socialism believes that it is natural and necessary for individuals to have a real sense of belonging and identity: to have roots in a particular land which they value and respect as the home of their ancestors and thus of their own culture. National-Socialism is Aryan culture.

What is National-Socialism ?

All forms of socialism eventually becomes national socialism. Once a government goes down the road of planning a society it will ultimately lead to a socialism that is national - where the power is consolidated. The differences between the Soviets and the Nazis where primarily due to the economic situation they found themselves in. Russia was a relatively underpopualted country whereas Germany was an overpopualted country that depended on trade with other countries in order to maintain its population.

Russia could afford to simply steal all property from the owners. Whereaas the Nazis were dependent on the skills of the entrepreneurs. At the time of the rise of the Nazis the entrepreneurs were faced with two alternatives, get killed by the communists or stay alive and work as "shop managers" under the Nazis. They chose the Nazis by default.

Socialism is socialism.

We can also contribute positively to our race and culture by deciding for ourselves how we are going to contribute. Each one of us has a natural ability or skill that we can use to serve our race and culture by trading for other's talents or manufactured products. The above qoute sound nice and who can argue against it? But the problem is what is not being said. In a planned society, not you, but some bureucrat who was a political appointee, will decide for you what your contribution is going to be. You will have no other alternative. You will either do your duty or die of hunger.

The above quote seems more appropriate to a colony of worker ants than a population of free upstanding human beings.

The quote also betrays what no socialist wants to admit to the population at large. In order to plan an economy the majority of people must be indoctrinated to accept the plans of others for their own plan. Instead of whipping you, this author is appealing to your sense of devotion to your own race to submit your will for the will of another man. When you do that, you give up what makes you a human being. When you give into the plan of another and forfeit any plan of yours, you ceist to be a human being. You may as well live in a barn with your draft horse.

Typical appeal to kin and forefathers. Usually used by those who cannot make the argument on its own merits. National Socialists no that they cannot create a more productive economy so they appeal to some imaginary past of a noble heritage. The truth is that our recent past, during the peak of capitalism of the late 18th century to the mid to late 19th century was our crowning glory. Not some imaginary 15th century were their was continuous warfare.

"How so?" he replied, smiling. "Over a period of ten years, a family with four children brings in more than our loans in the taxes levied on a hundred different items of consumption."

Every tax revenue increased proportionately with the increase in the cost of Hitler's social programs. Tax returns quite naturally tripled in a few years.

SECRETS BY THE THOUSANDS

Harper's readers are familiar with Mr. Walker's articles and the skillful mechanics of the Allied war. He now gives us a look at some of the disconcertingly effective tricks that were hidden up the enemy sleeve.

Someone wrote to Wright Field recently, saying he understood this country had got together quite a collection of enemy war secrets, that many were now on public sale, and could he, please, be sent everything on German jet engines. The Air Documents Division of the Army Air Forces answered:

"Sorry -- but that would be fifty tons."

Moreover, that fifty tons was just a small portion of what is today undoubtedly the biggest collection of captured enemy war secrets ever assembled. If you always thought of war secrets -- as who hasn't? -- as coming in sixes and sevens, as a few items of information readily handed on to the properly interested authorities, it may interest you to learn that the war secrets in this collection run into the thousands, that the mass of documents is mountainous, and that there was never before been anything quite comparable to it.

One Washington official has called it "the greatest single source of this type of material in the world, the first orderly exploitation of an entire country's brain-power."

Here are some outstanding examples from the war secrets collection.

The head of the communications unit of Technical Industrial Intelligence Branch opened his desk drawer and took out the tiniest vacuum tube I had ever seen. It was about half thumb-size.

"Notice it is heavy porcelain -- not glass -- and thus virtually indestructible. It is a thousand watt -- one-tenth the size of similar American tube. Today our manufacturers know the secret of making it.... And here's something...."

He pulled some brown, papery-looking ribbon off a spool. It was a quarter-inch wide, with a dull and a shiny side.

"That's Magnetophone tape," he said. "It's plastic, metallized on one side with iron oxide. In Germany that supplanted phonograph recordings. A day's Radio program can be magnetized on one reel. You can demagnetize it, wipe it off and put a new program on at any time. No needle; so absolutely no noise or record wear. An hour-long reel costs fifty cents." He showed me then what had been two of the most closely-guarded technical secrets of the war: the infra-red device which the Germans invented for seeing at night, and the remarkable diminutive generator which operated it. German cars could drive at any speed in a total blackout, seeing objects clear as day two hundred meters ahead. Tanks with this device could spot targets two miles away. As a sniper scope it enabled German riflemen to pick off a man in total blackness.

There was a sighting tube, and a selenium screen out front. The screen caught the incoming infra-red light, which drove electrons .from the selenium along the tube to another screen which was electrically charged and fluorescent. A visible image appeared on this screen. Its clearness and its accuracy for aiming purposes were phenomenal. Inside the tube, distortion of the stream of electrons by the earth's magnetism was even allowed for!

The diminutive generator -- five inches across -- stepped up current from an ordinary flashlight battery to 15,000 volts. It had. 'a walnut-sized motor which spun a rotor at 10,000 rpm -- so fast that originally it had destroyed all lubricants with the great amount of ozone it produced. The Germans had developed a new grease: chlorinated paraffin oil. The generator then ran 3,000 hours!

A canvas bag on the sniper's back housed the device. His rifle had two triggers. He pressed one for a few seconds to operate the generator and the scope.. Then the other to kill his man in the dark. "That captured secret," my guide de-dared, "we first used at Okinawa -- to-the bewilderment of the Japs."

We got, in addition, among these prize secrets, the technique and the machine for making the world's most remarkable electric condenser. Millions of condensers are essential to the radio and radar industry. Our condensers were always made of metal foil. This one is made of .paper, coated with 1/250,000 of an inch of vaporized zinc. Forty per cent smaller, twenty per cent cheaper than our condensers, it is also self-healing. That is, if a breakdown occurs (like a fuse blowing out), the zinc film evaporates, the paper immediately insulates, and the condenser is right again. It: keeps on working through multiple breakdown -- at fifty per cent higher voltage than our condensers! To most American radio experts this is magic, double-distilled.

Mica was another thing. None is mined in Germany, so during the war our Signal Corps was mystified. Where was Germany getting it?

One, day certain piece of mica was handed to one of our experts in the U.S. Bureau of Mines for analysis and opinion. "Natural mica," he reported, "and no impurities."

But the mica was synthetic. the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Silicate Research had discovered how to make it and -- something which had always eluded scientists -- in large sheets.

We know now, thanks to FIAT teams, that ingredients of natural mica were melted in crucibles of carbon capable of taking 2,350 degrees of heat, and then -- this was the real secret -- cooled in a special way. Complete absence of vibration was the first essential. Then two forces directly perpendicular to each other were applied. One, vertically, was a controlled gradient of temperature in the cooling. At right angles to this, horizontally, was introduced a magnetic field. This forced the formation of the crystals in large laminated sheets on that plane.

"You see this . . .the head of Communications Unit, TIIB, said to me. It was metal, and looked like a complicated doll's house with the roof off. "It is the chassis or frame, for a radio. To make the same thing, Americans would machine cut, hollow, shape, fit -- a dozen different processes. This is done on a press in one operation. It is called the 'cold extrusion' process. We do it with some soft, splattery metals. But by this process the Germans do it with cold steel! Thousands of parts now made as castings or drop forgings or from malleable iron can now be made this way. The production speed increase is a little matter of one thousand per cent."

This one war secret alone, many American steel men believe, will revolutionize dozens of our metal fabrication industries.

In textiles the war secrets collection has produced so many revelations, that American textile men are a little dizzy. There is a German rayon-weaving machine, discovered a year ago by the American 'Knitting Machine' Team, which increases production in relation to floor space by one hundred and fifty percent. Their "Links-Links" loom produces a ladderless, run-proof hosiery. New German needle-making machinery, it is thought will revolutionize that business in both the United Kingdom and the United States. There is a German method for pulling the wool from sheepskins without injury to hide or fiber, by use of an enzyme. Formerly the "puller" -- a trade secret -- was made from animal pancreas from American packing houses. During the war the Nazis made it from a mold called aspergil paraciticus, which they seeded in bran. It results not only in better wool, but in ten per cent greater yield.

Another discovery was a way to put a crimp in viscose rayon fibers which gives them the appearance, warmth, wear resistance, and reaction-to-dyes of wool. The secret here, our investigators found, was the addition to the cellulose of twenty-five per cent fish protein.

But of all the industrial secrets, perhaps, the biggest windfall came from the laboratories and plants of the great German cartel, I. G. Farbenindustrie. Never before, it is claimed, was there such a store-house of secret information. It covers liquid and solid fuels, metallurgy, synthetic rubber, textiles, chemicals, plastics. drugs, dyes. One American dye authority declares:

"It. includes the production know-how and the secret formulas for over fifty thousand dyes. Many of them are faster and better than ours. Many are colors we were never able to make. The American dye industry will be advanced at least ten years."

3. Animals depend on nature. We as human beings understand nature to subdue nature in order to live better and more prosperous lives.... I found something that I could agree with.

1. Society needs some form of planning just like a life requires some planning. Like life, things don't always work out according to plan so it's best to discard the rigid authoritarianism but remember that structure always helps. Unrestrained capitalism is the pinnacle of irresponsibility and infantile egoism ("I have a 'right' to do stupid and destructive things to not only myself but society and nature also", says the liberal parasite). Capitalism also turns money into the ultimate value to the exclusion of everything else, in which case you destroy all the good things about civilization (no, not convenience and entertainment). Competition is great but capitalism makes commerce the only legitimate form of competition and that is almost as bad as the bureaucratic socialism you criticize.
We don't need to tell people what to do most of the time but it helps to guide things and to offer incentives so that we get closer to the ideal and leave a better society for the next generation.

2. It depends on your values. The romanticization of heritage can go a bit overboard at times but can you really blame someone for that? The mythologized past is reflective of healthy values while your view is not. Judging a people by their technology and economic success amounts to little more than simian chest beating by power tripping money whores. Are these things (technology, economic success) irrelevant? Of course not, but it is that which gives meaning to life, 'cultural accomplishments' (art, music, literature, philosophy, 'religion', etc), which are most significant while that which makes us powerful in the raw sense is only secondary. Capitalism is the anti-culture. Social Darwinism is banalization of nature.

3. Humans are animals. Humans depend on nature, directly or indirectly. "Conquering nature" is a futile exercise as nature always wins out in the end (even if you destroy it). How can you agree that we should show respect towards nature yet simultaneously hold that we should subjugate it? Or do you believe that any species or individual seeks to dominate its surroundings? I think there's truth to both but I am neither a utopian nor a social Darwinist. We should look at nature as a source of sustenance rather than as a source of profit. We should see our own human natures as harmonious with that of other forms of life and of life itself. In nature and in civilization and also in civilization's relationship to nature there shall be competition and there shall be hierarchy but humans should act as stewards rather than as despots in relation to nature. Nothing humanity has created rivals the works of nature (including ourselves). The only honorable course is to value nature as it should be valued (for what it is rather than for what profit it affords us) and to act according to her rules, meaning we work with and more importantly within her system and not outside of and opposed to it.

Randolph, the text doesn't say that duty means to have all your economic dealings controlled by the state. It is pretty clear to me that it means to set aside your selfish desires and do what is best for the race, whatever that requires of you. That is true nationalist thought.

Why do I only see you when you criticize other nationalists for not being libertarian-minded in economics? You have even made categorical statements about all people on this board, saying stuff like "I wish you paid more attention to economics." What do you know about the rest of the people here? You think we all think the same on every matter? You strike me as one of those cowards/snobs who have learned of the Jewish problem and other racial problems but are afraid to get involved, so you look for a reason to stay out. Very common reason: "all those nationalists are stupid, because they don't think just like I do. And I spotted no less than two typos last time I checked that horrible VNN website!
