I'm a computer hobbyist, and have been building custom PC's for family and friends, business associates, and myself. Here is a pic of my current system:

specs:

processor - AMD FX 64 3200
ram - 1 gig pc3200
main harddrive - 245 gig sata raid
backup hardrive - 80 gig ide raid
case - Thermaltake
video - Nvidia 5700 ultra

not shown:
notebook - Dell Latitude 600
pocket PC - Toshiba e740
(both internet connected by Netgear wireless router)

Scores 3432 on PCMark03 and is Half-Life 2 ready.

Shame. I would have pushed for a Dual-AMD Opteron/FX-64 motherboard instead. The Tyan Thunder K8W only runs for about $400 and the lowest end Opteron available in a dual configuration (e.g., the 200 series) is only about $200. Thus for $600 you can have a 64-bit system and massively upgrade the processing potential bu simply slapping on another processor.

I've heard of some AMD server motherboard allowing up to either 4 or 8 processors, but I hvve never been able to find any sellers or price for that kind of product.
