European Jewish group expresses outrage over Croatian Nazi satire
BRUSSELS (EJP)---A Jewish group has expressed outrage over a satire featuring Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader that it says "belittled the Holocaust."
Croatian police detained and interrogated last week an opposition activist who posted on facebook a photo montage portrait of Sanader in a Nazi uniform which violated Croatia's law banning Nazi propaganda.
Sanader said he deplored any use of Nazi symbols for the purposes of political satire.
In a statement, the Brussels-based Rabbinical Center of Europe (RCE) acknowledged Croatia’s right to free speech but said "there must be zero-tolerance for using humor in the Nazi genocidal murder of six million Jews".
"As individuals who know the poisonous taste of discrimination, the satires are loathsome. Freedom of expression must never lead to arrogance, it must have a certain limit," the RCE said.
"People of goodwill understand that the use of hateful Holocaust imagery to criticize is unacceptable and beyond the pale of legitimate political criticism. It defames human dignity."
A delegation of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe visited Croatia last March to discuss the protection of Jewish cemeteries in the country.

I've heard and read this dozens of times before: they're advocates of free speech, unless it irks them. That makes for some rather clumsy posturing.

Zagreb, April 25 (CP) – The Austrian authorities have decided to ban the concert planned for June 7 by Croatian singer/songwriter Marko ‘Thompson’ Perkovic.
The concert planned to be held in St. Andrae in south Carinthia, prior to the start of EURO 2008 was deemed as a heightened risk to public security, as it could spark clashes between football supporters.
The Austrian APA news agency reporting on the ban has explained that the Thompson’s lyrics had neo-fascist overtones and some even came from the Ustashe repertoire. It also describes them as controversial and some as being clearly neo-fascist.
Another Thompson concert that was to be held in the Zurich canton in Switzerland on June 11 has also been banned for the same reasons

Split’s Jews Appalled With Expression of Anger
SPLIT, CROATIA - Split prepared for the arrival of Avram Grant with the graffiti in Ivana Gunduliceva Street “Avram Grant Jewish Shit!” However, some people were delighted with the news that the Israeli coach would arrive, and planted new flowers in front of the entrance to Poljud, where a press conference was to be held tonight. The president of the Jewish community in Split, Ana Lebl, is appalled at the expression of hate that was pointed at the Jewish faith, even though they have nothing to do with that arrival of the coach Avram Grant.
“We condemn and are against any talk of hate in any form, pointed against anyone, either on a national, religious or other basis. We welcome the reaction of Torcida who have distanced themselves from the graffiti” commented Ana Lebl. She added that she does not know when the graffiti will be removed, and stresses that it is the picture, as well as the duty of the city.
As we found out from the head of the management for municipal order in Split, Milan Amizic, the graffiti appeared during last night, and was removed today. Amizic stressed the good cooperation with the police for capturing the perpetrators of graffiti, which has led to a reduction in their number during recent months. Also, he also stressed that racist graffiti was not common in Split, and that the most common ones are nationalistic like “Serbs on Willows” (reference to hanging).
Amizic considers that the graffiti was intended to attract media attention leading up to Grant’s arrival. The author of the graffiti is currently being searched for, in order to bring them in for criminal processing, confirmed the Split-Dalmatia county police department spokesperson, Marina Kraljevic Gudelj.
“Currently there are intensive measures of searching for them, and when they find them and question them, the public will be informed about it” said Gudelj.
Even though the fans of Torcida have distanced themselves from the graffiti, Ivo Goldstein thinks that it shows the existence of anti-Semitism, and he links it with the football club Hajduk.
“Unfortunately this event shows that there is anti-Semitism in Croatia, and that it appears at the margins of social life. I am even more convinced of this considering the fact that most of Split’s citizens are anti-fascist orientated. This is why this pigsty needs to be viewed in the context of suits in and around Hajduk” concluded Ivo Goldstein.
The Israeli coach that caused a stir even before his arrival, was scheduled to land in Split today, to continue his negotiations about sitting at the head of the football club Hajduk. However, he delayed his visit for next week.

ANTI-NATO PROTEST Let Protesters Make Their Own Anti-NATO Tram Activists of the anti-NATO initiative stuck posters all over Zagreb’s NATO tram, protesting Croatia joining the organisation
ZAGREB, CROATIA – After a NATO tram began running in the streets of Zagreb, anti-NATO activists had something to say about that. The Activists of the Anti-Imperialist Action, Red Action and Croatian Anti-Globalist Movement stuck posters all over the tram, warning of the consequences of NATO’s war of terrorism that claims the lives of innocent children. The action of redesigning the NATO tram was done under the initiative called “Do you want Croatia to take part in killing children?”.
- We consider the Christmas holidays a time of peace, love, tolerance and solidarity, so we believe promoting a militarist organisation is unacceptable – the anti-NATO initiative said. They stressed that they condemn “cheap advertising and imposing of something whose existence is morally questionable as benefiting the general society”.
- Croatia is calling for peace, the preservation of human rights and the environment in which we live and we again remind that NATO does not care for any of these values – they said.
As a sign of support of Croatia’s joining NATO, Zagreb’s Homeland War soldiers associations decorated a Zagreb tram with NATO signs, flags of all member-countries and symbols of Zagreb’s Homeland War soldiers’ associations.
- We harshly denounce what they have done. The NATO tram was an action by 40 Homeland War soldiers’ associations and are a sign of support of Croatia joining NATO, which is Croatia’s strategic interest. I see no logic in what they did. They should make their own anti-NATo tram – a representative of the associations, Mirko Ljubicic Sveps, said.
He added that all relevant political parties endorsed Croatia’s joining the Alliance, as do 90 percent of Croatian Homeland War soldiers. He is revolted by the fact that the protesters destroyed three months of work on the tram.

SLAUGHTER Shocking Testimony by Travica About Slaughter Determined to kill and burn all Croatians in their village, Travica and two friends killed the four member family Cengic.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2008/m11/y187227633434627.jpg
“After I found out that our three Serbs from the Ervenik village had been killed, I headed towards by best friend Slobodan Kovacevic called Cipe, with the intention of informing him about what happened to our three boys. In accordance to the earlier oath we gave each other, that if anything happed to even one citizen of Serbian nationality, we would exile and burn all Croatians from our village”. These are the words that were used by Damir Travica (51) to testify to the “organ of protection of the military post code 7280 Knin” on February 13, 1992. Travica is scheduled to be extradited to Croatia from Great Britain, more precisely to the Sibenik County Court for war crimes. He spoke in detail of the way that he killed the members of the Cengic family, which is why he will soon be tried by the Sibenik court.
Travica described the horror that he committed on January 18, 1992 to the Cengic family to the first class captain Dragomir Pecanic. A copy of the testimony, which filled seven pages of dense text, was found after Operation “Storm” in an archive located in Knin’s old hospital. Travica gave the testimony from 6:30pm to half past midnight that night. He talked about his comrade agreement to kill members of one family, his neighbours, in great detail as if he were writing a novel, so he even mentioned which weapons they were carrying, how they were dressed, and even bragged to the military prosecutor that he placed a piece of black women’s lace pantyhose into his pocket, that he used in “previous operations” to hide his face.
“Sawn off”, rifle, pistol, dynamite…
He embarked on his slaughter of a couple with two underage children, a primary school child and a four year old boy. He brought his “sawn off” shortened shotgun which he used to kill rabbits, his “Crvena Zastava” pistol, some TNT, a Zolja rocket launcher, and a M-76 sniper rifle that he was given in his unit. Kovacevic and Nebojsa Travica called Nebesilo that joined them in the mean time, and headed to the village Cengici, as he says, to burn Croatians’ houses and kill them – I am not certain if the door was opened by Drago Cengic or his wife Nevenka, and it is possible that Slobodan forcibly opened the door, but immediately after that I heard Slobodan yell at the top of his lungs: “Will Ustashas return, I f*** your mother”. “Immediately after that I heard two or three short bursts from an automatic weapon, and then I saw Drago Cengic who was in the half-sitting position, leaning against the bed whilst blood flowed from his neck and chest. It seems that he was not giving any signs of life. On his left was most probably his older son with his head on Drago’s chest, who was also not showing life signs. Nevenka was in front of me in the half-standing position, holding her younger son in her arms, both were bleeding but still alive” said Travica in his testimony.
Even though the head of the family and child were not moving, Travica used his shortened shotgun to fire two shots from a few meters distance, one shot in each body, and then turned the barrel towards his wife Nevenka and the younger child. The poor woman was standing on her feet, said Travica, and the head of the child was where he fired the second shot, and I remember this well because I nearly hit comrade Slobodan. Then Slobodan went up to Nevenka and grabbed her hair with his left hand, holding a knife in the other and placing it under her throat, and said: “I f*** your Ustasha mother, will the Ustashas return, now I will slaughter you”. Nevenka was choking, and Slobodan lifted her up still holding the knife to her throat, and kept threatening her and swearing.
Brutal coldness
Then he used his lighter to light the coach cover and a tablecloth that he used to spread the fire in order to burn the home of the killed family. Travica remembers what Slobodan said after Travica told them to leave, he said that he would “slaughter a bit more” referring to Nevenka. They did not have enough killing, so upon leaving the burning house they shot at the family dog. Because the choking and sobbing of the poor woman could still be heard, Travica ordered his companion Slobodan to return and, as he said, finish the job and finish her. Whilst he was walking away he still heard sobbing, and then automatic weapon fire, which was followed by deadly silence. Leaving the scene of the crime, the slaughterers bragged to each other showing their knives and gesturing how they slaughtered Nevenka Cengic.
They continued to brag and headed towards to village Djakulovici in order to continue their crimes against the Djakulovic family where they burned hay, and then houses. Whilst Travica was burning hay, he heard a strong detonation. It was a “Zolja” that Slobodan fired, hoping that, as he said, that he hit the living area when the family slept. This is where they stopped planning where to go next, and agreed that they will move sequentially, and came across one more group of revenge seekers that were plundering on Croatian homes. They continued by burning the house of Josip Cengic in the neighbourhood, and this is how they ended their bloody mission. When they returned home, Travica says that he started thinking of removing the evidence, to get rid of the incriminating shotgun, and similar.
During questioning, Travica was shown some of the weapons that he recognized to be used in the slaughter, amongst other things his favourite “sawn off” shotgun that he used to shoot all four killed members of the Cengic family. Out of all of the evidence that is of immeasurable importance to the Croatian prosecution, which certainly the military service of the so called Serbian Krajina did not even dream would ever fall into Croatian hands, it seems that Travica quite contently explained the terrible events, remembering each detail of the terrible night. He nearly bragged as if he was remembering the plot of some film, and not a monstrous premeditated multiple homicide in which he participated in and led, by shooting, slaughtering and burning.

GRIZOGONO LETTER
Source: Letter written by Privislav Grizogono, a Croat and a Roman Catholic, member of the Yugoslav Diplomatic Corps, Minister to Czechoslovakia, Minister to Poland, addressed to Dr. Aloisius Ste- pinac, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Zagreb, Croatia, February 8, 1942. Published in translation by the American Srbobran, a Serbian paper of Pittsburgh, Pa., U.S.A., February 24, 1943:
"These atrocities do not amount to killings alone. They aim at extermination of everything Serbian: women, children, and aged men, and in terribly wild tortures of the victims. These innocent Serbs were stuck on poles alive, and fires were built on their bare chests. Literally they were roasted alive, burned to death in their homes and churches. Boiling water was poured on live victims before mutilation; their flesh was salted. Eyes were dug out of live victims, ears amputated, noses and tongues lobbed off. The beards and mustaches of priests, together with their skin, were ripped off rudely by knives. They were tied to trucks and dragged behind them. The arms and legs of the victims were broken and their heads were spiked.
"They were thrown into the deep cisterns and caves, then literally bombed to pieces. Crowbars smashed their heads. Their children were thrown into fire, scalding water, and fed to the fired lime furnaces. Other children were parted by their legs; their heads crushed against walls and their spines dashed against rocks. These and many other methods of torture were employed against the Serbs - tortures which normal people cannot conceive. Thousands of Serbian bodies floated down the Sava, Drava, and Danube rivers and their tributaries. Many of these bodies bore tags: 'Direction-Belgrade, to King Peter.' In one boat on the Sava there was a pile of children's heads, with a woman's head (presumably the mother of the children) labeled: "Meat for John's Market-Belgrade" (meaning meat for the Serbian market). "The case of Milenka Bozinich from Stapandza is a particularly gruesome one: they dug her unborn child out of her with a knife. Then, in Bosnia, a huge pile of roasted heads was found. Utensils full of Serbian blood were also discovered; this was the hot blood of their murdered brothers that other Serbs were forced to drink.
"Countless women, girls, and children were raped, mothers before daughters and daughters before mothers, while many women, girls, and female children were ushered off to Ustashi garrisons to be used as prostitutes. Rapes were committed even before the altars of the Orthodox Church. About 3,ooo Serbs were murdered in the Serbian Orthodox Church at Glina, and the massacre of Serbians before the altar at Kladusha with sledge hammers is something never mentioned in history....

that is right...things happend, but you missing one realy important thing: Croatia was attacked, not Serbia, Croats was without guns, tanks, artillery, and Serbs have all...i know becouse i and all my family was in that war, we all are now war veterans...
One important thing - during war, we was using Hajduk tactic, in that tactic you fight against superior enemy, but in yours ground and one of most important rule is : capture enemys prisoners so you can trade them for yours comrades, guns, chase fire...we allways capture prisoners to trade it is stupid to kill enemy if you can trade for something....that is main rule
Second main rule is: dont kill enemy with sniper, wound him that his comrades com to help him you can wounde more of them - dead solider is nothing but 5 wunded soliders is big problem for unit, for morale and for recurces, than you can attack them, half of them will flee and those who stayed will be yours prisoners for trade:D

Lijepa naša it means : beautifull ours homeland - it is about beautifull high mountains, rivers, see, and gratitude for ours history and proud to be Croat.
About 70% of Croats dont want to join with EU, we see EU as next Yugoslavi, country where one nation rule to all others, where Jews leading main politic, where small and clean nations as Croatia (87%catholic, 99% white) will be multiculturised and asimmilated. Jews know that so they in last few years trying to crush ours spirit, to bribe ours goverment, to fill my land with Turks, niggers from France, Pakistani from England, Chinese from Serbia, Gypsies from Bulgaria.
Last year all ours Tv stations and newspapers are bought by Jews, so we dont watch Tv and we dont buy newspapers...all what we had now is Internet.
Becouse we are proud and recently liberated from communist Yugoslavia we see that communism is coming again and all that shit with Obama, it is sign that communism as in his true meaning (Jews: Marx and Engels) is coming, and in that organistion we wont go again.
EU will last for few decades, but i m affraid that end of EU will be destroyed in great war against small nations and big ones

SHOUTING PAROLES Police Reviewing Footage Of Thompson`s Concert The police are reviewing the material recorded during Thompson`s concert, while Damir Kajin has not filed charges over murder threats

PAZIN, CROATIA - Istria Police Public Order department chief Dalibor Gregov has notified on Monday that the video footage and photographs taken during Thompson`s Pazin concert were still being reviewed and at this point, he can only confirm that they noticed individuals and minor groups shouting paroles, but did not precise which paroles were in question.
- We will notify of possible charges when all material is reviewed – Gregov told a press conference.
He added that Croatian Member of Parliament Damir Kajin has not filed charges over death threats. As media reported, a part of the audience at Thompson`s concert in Pazin shouted : “Kill Kajin!”.
Did not take away Ustasha insignia
He dismissed claims of certain media that police officers took away Ustasha insignia from a group of young men at Ucka.
The police brought in 21-year-old M.A, from Pula, who shouted “For Home, Ready!” [cheer associated with the Ustasha movement] under the influence of alcohol and lifted his right hand in a salute.

ZAGREB, CROATIA - Zagreb’s mayor Milan Bandic and his associates finished the inspection of the red slope on Monday, which is being prepared for the skiing races Snow Queen that starts on Sunday January 4 at 9:45am. The group that was inspecting the slope from the ski lift were: Dragutin Ziljak, Gordana Pokrajcic, Vedran Pavlek, Miha Glavic, the president of the organizational committee of the race, as well as many journalists.
Looking at the slope from the ski lift, we saw that it was totally ready for the race, and many workers on the slope are making final preparations for Sunday’s race. The grandstands and tents for VIPs and the media are ready, there is enough snow, and the red slope will be open for the citizens after the Snow Queen is over, said Dragutin Ziljak, the director of the city company Sljeme-Medvednica.

Sljeme ready for Queen
Five days before the race in the women’s slalom, the peak of the Medvenica mountain, Sljeme, is ready for the Snow Queen, reported the inspector of the international skiing organization, Gorazd Bedrac to his superiors. At a press conference that was held in the “Tomislavov Dom” building after mayor Milan Bandic and the press inspected the slope, Bedrac said that the whole slope is covered in 40 to 50 cm of snow, and that there are two points where there is only 35cm of snow, which will be additionally covered in snow by artificial snow cannons.
“Sljeme is prepared and I immediately said that from the ski lift via telephone to the directors in FIS for the women’s and men’s slalom races, said the Slovenian Bedrac. He also said that he is happy that the dream of Vedran Pavlek turned into reality, mostly thanks to mayor Milan Bandic, who is mostly to thank for the only European metropolis having a ski cup race.
After the tour in the ski lift, Milan Bandic was very happy with the gained knowledge and praised all of those who have worked for months in order to prepare the slope for the World Cup.
“I would especially like to praise Ziljak junior and senior, who are on the slopes day and night, and are talking care for everything to pass in the best order. I would not want to bypass Rena Fleis, who has not come down from Sljeme from the start of November, and all of the others who are responsible for the Snow Queen passing in the best order again. Gordana Pokrajcic, the director of the organization for managing sports objects, said that even if there was no snow, Ziljak would draw it and do anything for the snow queen to be held.
Vedran Pavlek informed the press that for both of the Snow Queen races, and the veterans of the ski cup race, they accredited 500 journalists, of which 200 are foreign, and that 20 countries will see a live transmission of the women’s and men’s slalom, and 50 countries will show it in a delayed recording.

Cheaper skiing for citizens
Mayor Bandic called upon all of Zagreb’s residents to turn up in large numbers at Sljeme, and said that after the World Cup skiing race, Zagreb’s residents all who wish to come, should go to Sljeme and delight in the new year’s gift.
“After the Snow Queen, all who come to ski on Sljeme will pay 30% less for all daily tickets for Sljeme. That is a new year’s gift to our fellow citizens, so that more will be able to afford skiing on Sljeme” said Milan Bandic.
Take a look at photographs from the red slope in the photo gallery: Zagreb’s Sljeme is Ready for Snow Queen.

I am not planning on taking sides but I don't understand your view point either. Generally speaking if you are a victim and you haven't gotten revenge then you are a weakling who deserves the beating. If you strike back then you are no longer a victim. As far as it goes I am unconvinced but I simply am wondering how you feel about your country receiving aid from an American puppet. As for the killing I don't find the slaughter of Serbs to be close to the Jewish Holocaust since Hitlerites and their puppets showed that they were more than willing to slaughter civilian Slavs and starve Slav Prisoners of War. I don't find it hard to believe that they'd treat Serbs the same way as they treated Russians.

I don't find it hard to believe that they'd treat Serbs the same way as they treated Russians.
in morning all is better....
what a night... happy new year to you!!!
dont border youself with problems of two "saim but different" nations on Balkan, it is like situation in Ireland - catholic vs protestants, but only difference that we make on Balcan in relation catholic vs ortodox vs muslims - you can combine that what you like it was situations in last war where Croats and Srbs vs muslims, Croat and muslims vs Serbs, Serbs and muslims vs Croats, Croats vs Serbs, Croat vs muslims, Serb vs muslims, all combinations....you must live here to understand that. It is melting pot.
That what you are intrested - 2WW and concetration camp in Croatia - Jasenovac, it was facilyty capacyty of 1000 pepole with guards - it was working camp where are prisoners was SERBIAN COMUNISTS, Jews, gypssies, fags, CROATIAN COMUNISTS....but Comunists use that to demonise Croats - they said that 700 000 pepole was killed there, that that number was decrised to 70 000 (becouse is lies), but in fact it was 7 000...some of Srebian comunist use that Sci-fi number to make revange sloughter 250 000 Croats after 2WW on Blaiburg... that is old shit...dont fall on Jews propagandaT.J.B.
You should be more intrested in concetration camp in Bosnia - Srebrenica....noumbers of killed pepole there, and that was happend in 1993 not in 1943
If you ever been in war, you will be able to understand that killing a man is not so easy what you see on movies, or video games, it is hard, and that shit about "first is hardest" - that is BS - every is hardest

Courageous Split citizens defy winter chills at the legendary Bacvice beach and play picigin.

SPLIT, CROATIA – Although the temperature has been rather low in Split for days now, picigin enthusiasts, players of the authentic Split beach sport, cannot not be stopped. Thus, courageous Split citizens defy winter chills at the legendary Bacvice beach. As they say themselves, this is where they feel best, they forget their everyday problems, emphasising that the cold strengthens the organism and the Bacvice beach is their second home.
Official game rules state that with constant kicking and hitting, the ball has to be kept up in the air for as long as possible, without it hitting the ground or sea surface. The ball is hit once by one player, with one hand, usually their palm, even though exemptions from this rule are possible if they contribute to the general impression of excellence.

At mass, Bozanic stressed that civilization needs mother’s love, and that Croatia is poor due to lack of children born
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y191624062362352.jpg
On January 1, the church celebrates Mary, the mother of God, the New Year, and the World Day of Peace, and the Arch Bishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, used the opportunity to carry out the Eucharistic celebration in Zagreb’s cathedral, and said that our civilization needs mother’s love that we need to renew in today’s time.
“The greatest poverty of Croatia today is the decreasing number of children born. Less children, emptier schools, that is our poverty. The demographic deficit is the hardest and most important problem of modern Croatia” evaluated cardinal Bozanic.
He reminded of the message by Pope Benedict XVI for this year’s World Peace Day in which he speaks of suppressing poverty and building peace. The Pope stresses that the most developed countries have the highest index of births, which is an advantage, and gives them bigger possibilities of development, and that means that the population is confirmed as a fortune, and not as a characteristic of poverty.
Divide between levels of society
Cardinal Bozanic especially stressed the part which speaks about suppressing poverty, which is faced with the complex appearance of globalization. The inequality amongst the rich and poor is more obvious, even in economically developed nations. A problem is in question that is imposed on the conscience of humanity, because the conditions that a great number of people live in are such that they insult their dignity, because of which true and graceful progress, and peace in the world community, is exposed to danger, said the Pope in a message.
The cardinal mentioned the reasons for poverty, in which he mentioned that people often stop at the surface and functional reasons of the problem, and does not penetrate to the reason that is in people’s hearts, like greed and the limitation of a wide view. He said that development and help are sometimes accessed without legally including people, as well as technical issues that end in proposing structures, in arranging tariff agreements and authorising anonymous financing. The battle against poverty needs men and women who are competent and who truly want to follow people, family and communities on the path of true human development, says Pope Benedict XVI.
Talking about globalization, he said that it is not capable of building peace, but in many cases it creates divisions and conflicts. It reveals the need to be aimed towards the aim of deep solidarity that goes towards the good of everyone and all. The globalization of solidarity is needed, as Pope John Paul II said, said Zagreb’s Arch Bishop, stressing parts of the Pope’s speech.

After two protests did not have results, the Croatian Culture Movement started an online petition for naming the theatre square
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y191709232573852.jpg
After two protests in 2008 did not have results, the Croatian Culture Movement decided that they will reach their aim via a petition. A public call has been posted on the internet, that calls for signatures to rename the “Square of Marshall Tito” into “Theatre Square”. For now, there are only 72 signatures, and when enough signatures are collected, the petition will be sent to the city government and the Croatian parliament.
The event that prompted the online petition was the book “Tito’s Secret Years in Moscow 1935-1940” whose author is Silvin Eiletz, which was recently published in Zagreb, in Croatian. The mentioned book, as internet sites state, brings shocking revelations from the Russian archive of social and political history, how Josip Broz Tito became the head of the Yugoslav Party, where he was and what he did from leaving jail after the “bomb process” in 1935, to his return to Zagreb in 1940.
The announced archives fill the biggest hole in Yugoslav history
“It really is, regardless of political orientation, a disgrace to have a square in Zagreb that carries the name Josip Broz” says the association for protecting citizen’s rights.
The publicist Ratko Boskovic left comments about the book on the internet. He stressed that those archives, which were strictly secret until recently, fill the biggest “black hole” in newer Yugoslav and Croatian history, reveal events and facts that Josip Broz kept secret or lied about.
“The documents that the author pulled into the light of day are the original “characteristics” that Josip Broz personally, under the code name Valter, wrote in Moscow for the Soviet secret police GPU/NKVD about their pre-war party colleagues. The documents reveal that Broz himself, voluntarily, offered to write the characteristics. The author concluded that Tito was the “biggest denouncer in Eastern Europe”. He betrayed and sent to death or Gulag; both of his wives at the time, numerous personal friends and benefactors, states the publicist Boskovic. He added that all of those characteristics are negative and traitorously blacken Tito’s party
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r2/g2007/m04/x82137960936645673.jpg
Practicing Stalin’s doctrine, Tito sent party heads into camps
Also, Boskovic mentioned Stalin’s praise, who said that Tito is a “ hero who killed all of his rivals”.
The author of the book “Tito’s Secret Years in Moscow 1935-1940” knew Milovan Djilas, who wrote that of the 2,500 members of the party before the war, around 800 of them were liquidated in Moscow.
The Soviet Union rehabilitated all of them after the war, but Yugoslavia did not. They remained unknown to the public. In another part of the book the author brings the shocking story of concentration camps on the islands of Sveti Grgur and Goli Otok, where Tito, practicing Stalin’s doctrine that he learned and accepted in Moscow, placed all of the remaining pre-war party members that somehow survived his pre-war “cleaning”. The most interesting documents were when Josip Broz Tito personally wrote to Moscow or sent to the heads of Stalin’s secret police on Paris, Vienna and Yugoslavia, are published in the book in facsimile – it says on the website (in Croatian) http://www.petitiononline.com/001kaz/petition.html, and calls citizens to join in the petition.

Hajduk football fans to help poor families in Vukovar
"Torcida," an organisation of fans of Hajduk football club in Split, is raising money for the poor in Vukovar in eastern Croatia.
The initiative is being undertaken in cooperation with fans of the club who live in the eastern Croatian region of Slavonia where Vukovar is located.
Torcida said in a press release it was not enough to remember the city of Vukovar, which was destroyed during the War of Independence (1991-1995), only once a year since people lived there in very bad conditions throughout the year.
Organizers have stressed all donations will be given directly to poor families in Vukovar.
Information about the project is available on website http://torcida.org/site/vukovar-2008.

The Dalmatian city of Zadar has grown by 25 per cent over the last seven years as 18,520 more people live there now than when the last census was taken in 2001.
According to Zadar police, the city was home to just 72,717 residents in 2001 but now that figure has risen to 91,238 - a 25 per cent increase.
This great increase is unusual and very positive compared to other Croatian cities.
According to Zadar mayor Bozidar Kalmeta the city has become more popular with young people because of its improved standard of living, good infrastructure, social and cultural life, and also because it offers better employment opportunities.
Kalmeta said the city had been an economic miracle and was now one of the most attractive places to live in Croatia.
Beside immigration from nearby local places Zadar became more and more popular for Croatian emigrants from other world countries.
Three years ago around 1200 Croats returned to their home in Zadar and 1331 of them return to Croatia in 2007.
The positive trend records also natality policy, only in the first nine months of 2008 was born 667 babies in Zadar.

If anyone would bother to look up the demographics of the time for the Holocaust it'd become apparent that 6 million didn't die. If one is to look up the Serbian demographic it becomes apparent that it is true - hundreds of thousands of Serbs DID die by the hands of Croats.

Nobody claims all victims were killed there (Or indeed even 100,000) , review the claims before you start talking. 1000 people is still not a small camp and is capable of holding tens of thousands. By the way whats your source on the 1k figure?

It is true how whites backstabbed each other when faced with a common enemy. Infact when the Ottomans invaded Romania and Moldova regions Stephan Cel Mare begged the Pope and all Christian peoples to help. Nobody helped him. So he had to fight alone. Kind of like a Rommel of his time using tactics to fight a larger enemy when your own forces are weak. If Europe came together it could have wiped out the Ottomans and Mongols. But they are too busy killing each other over religion and nation states. The Greeks Spartans/Athenians did the same shit. Only when they came together did they beat the Persians. In the 1800's nobody helped Greece and Bulgaria fight the Turks off. So much white blood spilled for nothing. Now we are at a point where we can do things to benefit our race. But still the old fueds bog us down. I am interested in kicking jews, gypsys, and niggers (muds) out of Europe. I don't feel good seeing whites kill each other.
People should read about Stephan Cel Mare btw.
When the turks started their attacks against Byzantium, there were no national states, there were not even the N of a national state, because we are talking here about the middle age...
I have a question for you, why would a white man call himself rami suleiman? which is a combination of a arab name, and turkish name?

You know what I am talking about and the photo is unmistakably a war crime committed by Croats. They all have a clear U on the front of their hats and the uniform itself is clearly of Ustasha. There's no mistake about it, the best you could try is to prove that it's fake, many Holocaust photos have been however those were simply angle shots/sloppy copy paste jobs. This one doesn't look like either.
I m not trying to said that crimes wasnt happend, shit happens in war, partisans (communists) they make worster warcrimes than Ustasha. In last war also shit happens it is normal for one war, in fact i was suprised how less warcrimes are in last war then 2WW.

Some ten days ago, the USA renewed its black list of persons, organisations and companies which represent a threat for American national security. According to the Bosnian media, the 1,000-page report includes 11 entries from Croatia, 70 from Serbia and 1,152 from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Those enlisted are banned from entering the United States of America and any sort of actions within their borders. Furthermore, the USA has the right to arrest them all if they ignore the ban.
The American black list includes Croatian general Ljubo Cesic Rojs, who is stated as a citizen of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Others included are war criminals Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic.
Ljubo Cesic Rojs was encompassed by the list in 2003, when Ante Gotovina and Ante Jelavic were also considered unwanted.
The list includes names, addresses and passport numbers of some 20 BH citizens, but mostly, those who recently attained BH citizenship are in question. Names and addresses of humanitarian organisations were also included, which sided Al Qaida, according to evidence.

how jewish, you are now avoiding to reply on posts, by changing the topic from "jasenovac" to a ominous "photo"...
first of all, the source of the picture is unknown
2nd it appeared the first time after the war, in the various anticroatian campains, started by your friends the "jugoslavian"/servian bolsheviks in "yugoslavia"... to show how evil and fasistic Croatians are, and to blame us for a imaginary "genocide" commited against servs... :puke:
3rd the persons on the pictures are uknown,
4th the unit insignias arent readable...
my tip for you, cut your miserable moralizing, because its pathetic, and you sound like some fucking jew, when he cries about the holohaux...
ps. even the picture wasnt a fake, i wouldnt give a shit about it, cuz that dead serv was in a member of CHETNIKS, and killed other WHITE MAN (CROATS), and ethnicly cleansed our territorys from non-servian population (under the protection of their italian masters), with the sole purpose to create Great Servia, on CROATIAN SOIL!
So fuck you, you degenerated jewish bolshevik!

After a 12-year study of monitoring the Adriatic Sea, the results are more than satisfying and meet high criteria
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y192305826056680.jpg
Croatian Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction has published a `Report on the quality of the sea at Croatian Adriatic beaches in 2008` on its website and a Brochure on the quality of the sea in 2008, according to which the Adriatic Sea in Croatia is of high quality.
The study was conducted on 890 points, out of which 1.24 percent were marked as moderately polluted sea, while none were assessed as highly polluted sea, which means the sea suitable for swimming in Croatia is of high quality and meets the rigid criteria of the Provision on quality standards of the sea at sea beaches.
Programme began 12 years ago
This programme began nearly 12 years ago and so far, it has been retouched, adjusted and altered. The study was financed from the budget of coastal counties. The sea water examinations were conducted by authorised laboratories, the Ministry`s website claims.
The Croatian coast is nearly 6,000 kilometres long, while sandy and pebble beaches represent 5.4 percent of the Croatian Adriatic coast.

People had been killed with that being shouted and we in Croatia want to develop a spirit of cooperation and tolerance, PM Sanader said.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – During a government discussion about a new law on preventing riots at sporting events, Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader commented on very frequent shouting at matches: “For the Homeland, Ready!”, saying there was nothing patriotic about that type of cheering. It could have been considered patriotic in some past times, when the Pavelic regime (1941-1945) killed people of other nationalities, religions and races, even people of the same nationality.
- People had been killed with such a cry and we in Croatia want to develop a spirit of cooperation and tolerance – Sanader said, adding that, unfortunately, that cry fell under the usual iconography at sporting matches. Regarding the law on preventing riots at sporting events, Sanader said that the new amendments to the law envisage some new powers to police officers and guards, such as testing fans for alcohol while they are still on their way to the stadium or sports hall.
- Police and guards will be able to apply breathalysers on all people whom they suspect are under the influence of alcohol, not just at the entrance of the facility, but also on the way to the sporting facility. Also, during away matches, all known troublemakers will have their passports confiscated seven days before the sporting event at the latest – Sanader said, presenting the law.
The new law also envisages that the most extreme offenders will, apart from having their passports taken away, spend the time during the match in police stations.
The government said that they expect the new law to finally put a stop to riots at sporting events which have so far cost Croatian clubs 750,000 euros, Vice-Premier Djurdja Adlesic said, adding that the national team and clubs in total paid as much as two million euros in fines

Croatia would be for an official reconciliation between Italy, Croatia and Slovenia concerning the horrors committed in Istria during World War II, said the Croatian president Stjepan Mesic in an interview for the Trieste newspaper “Il Piccolo”, reports the Italian agency Ansa on Friday.
Mesic said for the daily Il Piccolo that he endorses the act that would give honour to innocent victims on all sides, under the condition that Fascism is not raised to the level of those who were fighting against it.
“We have to admit the mistakes that all sides made in order to avoid turning to those that want a revision of history six decades after World War II, with which they destroy a unique chance (for reconciliation)” added the Croatian president.
Mesic’s words set the path towards the renewal of diplomatic relations in order to found a joint memorial ceremony that would be held in Trieste, which would be attended by the presidents of all three nations.
Plans for such a ceremony failed last February because of a dispute concerning the massacre in Fojbami, the Istrian pits, in which Yugoslav Partizans threw Italians at the end of World War II.
In February, the Italian president Giorgio Napolitano said in a speech for the remembrance of the massacre, that they were the consequence of the bloodthirsty Slavic hatred and plan of annex that ruled over the 1947 peace process that gained bad connotations of ethnic cleansing.
Mesic reacted with a statement that Napolitano’s words were full of open racism, historical revisionism and political revenge.
According to the claims of the Ansa agency, the communists tortured and killed 15,000 Italians in Istria.

The union looked back on the hypocrisy of private doctors, gas crisis, mass redundancies, high prices, taxes and charity funds
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Economic pessimism in Croatia and reduced purchase power of Croats will lead to lay offs, the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) said on Friday.
- We are before the door of the European Union as a country with lay offs – said Mario Svigr, head SSSH economist.
Thus, the SSSH offers several proposals which would increase economic optimism in Croatia and the focus is not exclusively social, but companies without employment posts are included as well.
One of the proposals is the introduction of a moratorium on raised prices, taxes and income taxes, which was proposed by the governor of the international bank as a measure to fight inflation. Introducing a guarantee fund for small and medium-sized companies and announcing the construction of infrastructure projects would enable home investors to access projects.
We want to know who makes the clothes for the Croatian Army
The SSSH proposed the establishment of a clothing and food fun, in case the worst case scenario happens.
- We can`t allow every situation to surprise us again and again, we want to know who makes the clothes for the Croatian Army, which textile industry it is, and not for Croatian workers to be terrified with lay offs –president of the SSSH Ana Knezevic said.
She also looked back on gas supplies, saying Croatia keeps solving the same problem every year, from the start.
- Gas prices in relation to the citizens` purchase power is the highest in the world, many things are planned with gas in Croatia and gas is used irrationally. Things will only get worse – engineer Branimir Molak said.
Molak spoke of a gas export contract between Croatia and Italy, saying the price for the Italians amounted to 6 cent per cubic metre, while it amounted to 40 cents for Croats, without adding the 20 percent expensification.
He compared this contract with the one Croatia has with Slovenia on the Krsko nuclear power plant, which resulted in damages for Croatia amounting to 2 billion dollars. He also looked back on the sale of the INA oil company, saying it was worth 2 million more at the time it was sold.
When it comes to the health reform, the SSSH is exceptionally dissatisfied with the hypocrisy of private doctors, who used their patients as a shield. Spomenka Abversek, SSSH vice president for public health, says it is inapprehensible for the union to accept the laws and then the ministry to defend itself with the fact that the lobby of private doctors refused to accept them. She said that with these actions by private doctors, hospital doctors who work on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays will be additionally burdened, while private doctors will be sitting at home.

Europe us unifying. It is a millennium venture and Slovenia is not only hindering Croatia, but the venture which is in Europe’s interest
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said in an interview for the Slobodna dalmacija daily that Croatia should not burden themselves with Slovenians because that is not an issue Croatia can resolve. It is obvious, Mesic claims, that some people in Slovenia believe that Croatia is vulnerable because its goal is to enter the European Union, so it can be pressured and Croatia will concede to something it would never concede to normally.
But, dear neighbours Slovenians, this will not be so, Mesic stressed. The reason for this is, he says, in the fact that Croatia cannot allow not to have a border at sea with Italy, which is why we will not ease up on our arguments, just like the Slovenians will not ease up on theirs. But Croatia is proposing something that is completely fair, honest and humane to resolve the situation, which is for the two countries to turn to international arbitration, President Mesic said.
- The most logical option would be the International Court of Justice in The Hague because they deal with such issues. It would cost us nothing and Croatia accepts decisions made by that court! Can anything be more simple or clearer – Mesic asked and commented on suggestions that a three-member court comprised of a Croatian, a Slovenian and a third judge who would be chosen by the first two, decides on the fate of Croatia and Slovenia, stressing this makes no sense.
‘Europe needs us as much as we need Europe’
The reason for this is that something like this would be too expensive and would take up too much precious time. It would also be questionable how much international conventions would be applied in such a case, he said. Mesic reiterated that Slovenia’s conduct is not Croatia’s problem, but an issue for Brussels which should respond to the question how long it would tolerate Slovenia abusing Croatia.
- What is the logic in Croatia having to wait for the solving of one bilateral dispute to realise its strategic goal: entry into Europe! Let’s leave Slovenia to Europe and we should focus on our part of the task: meeting standards and all the necessary conditions! – Mesic said, adding that Croatia would not respond to any blackmail or ultimatums, since Europe needs Croatia, not just the other way round.
- Europe is unifying. It is a millennium venture and Slovenia is not only hindering Croatia, but the venture which is in the interest of the whole of Europe – the Croatian president concluded in his interview.

Croatian football clubs have paid 750,000 Euros in fines for fan hooliganism.
That amount does not include the 200,000 Euros that UEFA has fined Dinamo because of its fans’ use of torches during the 3 December game with Udinese since the fine has not yet become final.
Deputy Prime Minister Djurdja Adlesic announced the total during the meeting of government ministers, who approved a bill on football hooliganism that will be presented to the Croatian Parliament.
The bill gives the police as well as judges the right to stop football matches when hooligans are causing chaos in a stadium.
The bill also gives police the right to test fans suspected of having drunk too much alcohol and to expel them from stadiums if they have done so.
In addition, the bill requires hooligans who have been banned from attending Croatian matches abroad to surrender their passports to the Croatian police before such games occur.
Prime Minister Ivo Sanader welcomed the bill’s provisions as a step forward. He invited Croatian fans to support their team rather than to lash out against its opponents.
Sanader condemned the salute "Za dom spremni" (Ready for the Country), which was used by the "Ustase" or Croatian Revolutionary Movement years ago and has been used by some hooligans during matches.
Sanader called for better education of young people who were unaware of what had happened 60 years ago.

The town of Osijek is going to distribute 1,270 laptops to students in fifth grade in elementary schools next week.
Osijek Deputy Mayor Biljana Borzan said the town had reserved 3.6 million kunas or 490,000 Euros from last year’s budget for purchase of laptops for every fifth-grade student in the town.
The money will also be used to buy laptop bags, mice and USB memory sticks for the students. The first laptops will be given to students at "Mladost" elementary school on 13 January.
Borzan pointed out that computer education was extremely important, but, unfortunately, most students and most schools did not have computers, so free distribution of them was a good idea.
This year’s budget will have a reserve of five million kunas or 684,000 Euros for computers for next year’s fifth-grade students. Some 700 elementary school teachers in Osijek will also receive computers free of charge.
Borzan said: "Many teachers do not have computers at home, so we want to ensure they obtain them to enable teachers to have better contact with their students."

Austrian historian Silvin Eiletz's book on former Yugoslav Communist leader Josip Broz Tito has been published in Croatia.
Book publisher Metropress claims the book, "Tito's Mysterious Years in Moscow, 1935–1940," is extremely important for understanding the modern political history of Croatia.
Eiletz's book is the first to reveal how Tito actually came to power in the Yugoslav Communist party and how 800 people paid for it with their lives.
The book includes documents about Tito's years in Moscow prior to taking over the Yugoslav Communist party, including letters Tito reportedly sent to members of Stalin's secret police.

Osijek doctors warn children not to eat belladonna
Doctors in Osijek in eastern Croatia are warning children not to eat any part of the belladonna plant since it contains hallucinogenic and poisonous substances.
They say consumption of belladonna is most frequent among children in Baranja and Slavonija, where amphetamines are either too expensive or too difficult to obtain.
Igor Berecki, the head of the paediatric intensive-care ward at Osijek Hospital, says the hospital admits a few children with extreme hallucinations annually, the daily "Jutarnji list" has reported.
Three months ago, the hospital admitted a three year-old boy suffering from hallucinations caused by belladonna he had eaten while playing outside.
Last week, one man died from burns he suffered at a séance during which he consumed stew made from a belladonna plant in Karlovac County.
Symptoms of belladonna poisoning include a rapid pulse, blushing, vomiting and hallucinations. Large doses can lead to respiratory problems, heart failure and even death.

In time of crisis, most agree it is not the right time to introduce a law that would cause lay-offs. They should have waited with the law.
ZAGREB, CROATIA - - In November we had a drop in retail sales. This year salaries will also decrease, the country is definitely in recession. We cannot expect progress, we can only expect workers to suffer – said Milanka Opacic of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the “Otvoreno” Croatian Television show on Monday night. She added that the year ahead will not be easy for Croatia and the government has done nothing to alleviate the crisis
We should wait for the law to be in effect for some time
Dragica Miseljic of the Alliance of Independent Unions of Croatia (SSSH) thinks alike and believes that on Sundays, people would call in sick more often, which would eventually lead to them being fired.
- The preconditions were practically created for workers to have a day off in a week. People became increasingly ill and were laid off – Miseljic said, adding that the story about the dismissals should not be taken for granted because, according to her estimates, there are no dismissals. She also believes that people should wait for the law to be in effect for a while.
- We should wait for this way of shopping to become regular and for shoppers to get used to stores being closed on Sunday. In January 2008, earnings went up six percent and now sales on Saturdays have increased – Miseljic said.
The law should not be tested to the detriment of citizens
- The government has a tendency of carefully monitoring and applying laws, allow life to give its indications – said Tamara Obradovic of the Economy Ministry and stressed that the citizens should get used to the new law. When a realistic estimate needs to be made then, as well as an estimate of the application of the law. She called on citizens to wait for a couple of months to see what the law will bring.
Opacic opposed this.
- I do not find it acceptable that the law be tested on citizens. Every decision is being made chaotically and it is utter time that laws are passed in a way so citizens can see its positive and negative points – Opacic said, stressing that the SDP advocates the right of choice.
- We must invest efforts and build mechanisms that would protect the rights of citizens. Who here will tell me that citizens have their workers’ rights during the rest days of the week? – Opacic said.
They should have waited with the law
Slobodan Skolnik, CEO of the Fliba company which manages the Emmezeta shopping chain, is aware that a non-working Sunday entailed dismissals, so he believes the government should have waited to pass the law.
- We cannot afford dismissing people, they make us look like somebody who treats workers sadistically. The non-working Sunday should have been postponed in this time of crisis – Skolnik said, stressing that the law affected and was discriminatory to workers in only one branch of industry.
- It would have been good if the government learnt something. Banning something gets no results. We have to secure the workers’ rights and build in EU mechanisms – Opacic said, stressing that those same mechanisms abroad can also be applied in Croatia

`I would like to make my own personal contribution towards solving problems between Slovenia and Croatia,` Mirek Topolanek said
The Czech presidency of the European Union offered on Wednesday to mediate in a dispute between Slovenia and Croatia which has prevented Croatia from making headway in talks on joining the bloc.
"I would like to make my own personal contribution towards solving problems between Slovenia and Croatia," Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, whose country holds the EU's rotating presidency, told the European Parliament.
Last month EU member Slovenia blocked Croatia's progress in entry talks by imposing a veto on opening and concluding a number of negotiating chapters. Zagreb has so far opened 22 chapters and concluded seven out of a total 35 negotiating areas.
The veto is due to a dispute over slivers of land and a stretch of sea border that the two former Yugoslav republics have not been able to settle since the country broke up in the 1990s.
Many analysts believe Croatia will struggle to complete the talks this year unless the Slovenian veto is lifted soon.

I understand this and thank you for taking the time to explain it. Many nationalists in the USA have a hard time understanding that Nationalists in Europe are against intermarriage outside of the national group let alone the racial one.
to explain more to easier understanding:
this is Dalmatians alkars - holy warriors against Turks - this is how they look:

as you see it is different wear and different way of living, by the way it is all saim nation but different parts of land and climatc.
Thing what we trying to preserve is that beauty of difference, caracteristic small regions - that is ours heritage.

Olic fights with Hoffenheim player Eduardo on the pitch
Croatian national football team player and German Bundesliga club HSV striker Ivica Olic has engaged in fisticuffs on the pitch.
The incident occurred during a friendly game with Hoffenheim in Spanish La Manga yesterday (Weds).
Olic came to blows with Hoffenheim player Carloso Eduardo after he pushed him on purpose several times during the game, according to the daily "24sata."
Olic did not respond at first but lost his nerve when he slapped Eduardo in the 88th minute of the game, earning a red card for his effort.
Olic later explained to the German media: "He hit me twice and then elbowed me.
I am aware it was a friendly game and my reaction was unreasonable. It just happened. I had to defend myself."
HSV coach Martin Jol defended Olic: "If somebody hits me, I return the favour. Eduardo should have received a red card for his behaviour, not Olic."
HSV won the game by a score of 2-0.
Olic is from old naionalistic family...i wondered when that will happen

are you familiar with Tomislav Sunic? Good Croatian writer on European New Right thought.
tomislav sunic is a very intelligent men, but corrupted by this "pan-europeism"... like many of us before...
the point is ignoring the needs of the own nation for a "good" of some artificial construct like european civilization, servs nobody, beside some melting pot fetishist, which would like to destroy the national diversity in europe...
the fact is, we are heterogene, and thats good, we all belong to different nations, with different langauges, history, traditions, religion etc... and thats fine... because we were forged, by this cultural elements...
europe is not about uniformism but about national diversity...
but trying to artificialiy erase this diversitys is a crime, as such, and doesnt serve any european nation, but only jews and their masonic minions...

Another thing some Americans might have heard of is the "Ustasha." Can you tell us what that was and what today's Croations think about it? THanks
like adolf said, the Ustasha movement or UHRO (Ustase hrvatska revolucionarna organizacija), was a nationalistic organization founded in the late 1929 by croatian partriots and nationalists, who just wished to liberate Croatia from the servian hegemony, which was installed by the versailles peace treaty (masons)...
the most important reason was the dictatorship of "king" aleksandar (he was a member ot the great orient of france, aka grand masonic lodge in paris, and belgrade) of servia, which begang 1928, after the assassianation of croatian polticans (Stjepan Radic, etc) in the parliament of the "kingdom of servs, Croats, and slovenes"...
the plot was planned by "kings" ministers, and his advisors, but on his directive.
during the 1920s and 1930s, many croatian intellectualls (Millan pl Sufflay, his head was smashed white a pipe, and then he was throwen out of the window of his flat in Zagreb) and politicans (Stjepan Radic, his brother Pavle and many others, shooted to death) were killed by the secret police or some organisation near to the "karadzordevic dinasty" (which were plain criminals) one, which the intention to oppress our will for freedom.
in the 1930 they organized student organizations, and in the exile (Hungary and italy) paramilitary units, in their training camps...
when the wwII started "jugoslavia" sided with the axis, because the servian scum was like allways spineless, and they thought their english masters wouldnt help them, if the axis would attack "jugoslavia"...
but 1941, some servian officers set up a coup on the advisory of the english mi5, and the german fuehrer adolf wasnt pleased, and decided to punish this perfidious gang aka servs, and ordered his commanders to attack "jugoslavia", this charade lastet for about 11 days and then the servian (jugoslavian) army surredered... (pathetic isnt it?!)
the fuehrer of the german nation back then made some consultations with the italian wanna be dictator mussolini, and then he decided to help the ustasa movement, to establish a reign over croatian soil.
the servs werent pleased about this and startet to riot, and kill any non-servs, they could... they formed on the directive of the dinasty the "cetniks" or "cetniks dyanstic army in fatherland", which wasnt nothing then a band of murders and rapers... under the protection of the italians which occupied many croatian territorys (istra and pieces of dalmatia in the 1920s, and then much more 1941), cetniks commited genocide against croatian population on croatian soil...
the ustasha goverment, first exclusive croatian goverment after almost 800 years, tried to stabilize the situation, which wasnt such en easy task, if we consider, that the state was formed during a great war, with no army, no administration, no supply lines etc; with hipocrathic allies like the italians which forced them to accept the occupation of croatian soil, and evenmore which supported our enemys the servs....
after the start of the operation barbarossa, the communist scum, on direct order of the commintern and stalin began to riot too in croatia, tried to destabilaze the new refounded croatian state...
partisans (communistic scum, servs and jews) commited many crimes against croatian population...which cummulated in the bleiburg massacre...
in the late 1943 (italia surrended to the criminals aka allies), the croatian goverment anullied all treatys with rome, and reincoperated our territories; most of the servians cetnik forces joined the partisans, and again they tried to destroy US...
1945, when most of the german army was already defeated, the croatian goverment decided to evacuate civil population and greatest part of our armed forces, cuz the bolshevik red army overrunned our borders...
they retreated over slovenia, and got to Bleiburg a small town in south austria, were they were stopped by a english army; the number of refugies and the armed forces go from 300,000 - 550,000 (english sources); the representers of the croatian army doesnt want to break throu the blockade cuz they feared the english would attack the civilans, and they doesnt want to harm the english, which they doesnt percipated as their enemy, but the bolshevik partisans and the red army...
so they aranged a meeting with the english army chiefs, and tried to convince them, to let the civilans pass, so they would be safe of the red scum... they english rejected and said they have to speak with their allies, the bolshevik partisans... they met the bolsheviks, which sweared to not harm anybody, and under the pressure of the english, croatian generals decided to surrender to the partisans...(othewise the english would open fire on croatian civilans) they bolsheviks have broken they oath, and slaughted about 90% of the civils and militarys in bleiburg and on the "road of the cross"...
even all had to be treated by the geneva war conventions as pows...
most of the english documents concerning this genocide, and the english involment in it, are still under secrecy...
//a interesting fact, nikolai tolstoy a member of the famous russian nobel family, was charged by the english goverment, because he addressed the english involement and resoposibility in the bleiburg massacre and "krizni put" (genocide), and was found guilty... so much about the english democracy and their common-law...

If we did not solve the border, and Slovenia entered the EU with unsolved borders, then so can Croatia, said premier Sanader
The Croatian premier Ivo Sanader called on Slovenia to suspend the blockade of Croatia in its negotiations with the European Union, stressing that the border troubles with Slovenia cannot be an obstacle for the entry of Croatia into the European Union.
“I call on Slovenia to suspend the blockade of Croatia, and as far as we are concerned, we will continue to do our job” said the Croatian premier and president of the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) Ivo Sanader in Split, celebrating the 19th anniversary of founding HDZ in that city.
The Cabinet and all the ministers, he added, received the task that all measures for closing chapters be finished, and I am certain that we will find a diplomatic solution.
Stressing that the border dispute in the Savudrija Bay is a bilateral issue that cannot be played as an obstacle to Croatia’s entry into the European Union, Sanader reminded Slovenia entered the EU with this open (border) issue.
“According to that, is we have not solved the border, and Slovenia entered the European Union with unsolved borders, then Croatia can do so also, and that issue should not be placed in European negotiations, because Slovenia did not have it either” stressed Sanader.
“We have to go together before the International Court of Justice and everyone can present their arguments, and let that court, on the basis of arguments, say exactly where the border is in the Savudrija Bay” said Sanader. He repeated that Croatia will not allow anyone to prohibit them from delivering documents to that court. He added that he spoke about that with the Slovenian premier Borut Pahor and said that this suggested that they have a poorer position.
“Let Slovenia bring all of the documents in the world”
“I would never prohibit you even in my thoughts of bringing your documents. Let Slovenia bring all of the documents in the world that they think will help them, and Croatia will do that as well” said Sanader to Pahor.
He stressed that Croatia has nothing against Slovenia, and that in the former Yugoslavia, Croatia and Slovenia were the two most friendly and most advanced republics, and that this is the way it should stay. “I am certain that between the Croatian and Slovenian people there are no problems and that we are tied by good neighbourly relations and friendship” said Sanader. He added that a sign of that friendship is that many Slovenians come to the sea in Croatia and that they are our good and welcome friends.

I don't know that much about international banking. It was only a suggestion.
Perhaps, let foreign banks buy all Croatian banks. Then nationalize them all and get rid of the lisping Jew.
10 to 19% interest sounds outrageous. People should set up parallel institutions.

...People are always looking for lower loan interest rates, and the ability to sidestep the banks to achieve their goals is naturally compelling. At the same time, more and more people are moving nominal savings out of low yielding savings accounts and into the person-to-person online market to achieve significantly higher returns.
Also playing a hand in the person-to-person lending revolution is the fact that young people love social networking. For them, the idea of organised lending through such sites sits very comfortably.
Prosper has something like 330,000 users and has funded $70 million in loans. Meanwhile, Zopa claims to have 150,000 members. They further claim that by bypassing the banks they can offer competitive borrowing and lending rates, with lenders looking at returns of up to 14 per cent and borrowers accessing loans with interest rates as low as 6 per cent...

we have tradition here to take loans from family not from banks, that is how i built my house and buyed bikes. Sometimes man need more money to invest in profitable buissnes, therefore we go to banks becouse familly dont have enough money maybe they invest more or just dont have enough.
We know that best is investments ,or if you dont have oportunity to invest momentaly, then convert money in Deutche marks (when marks was). today we dont have Deutche mark just that lousy Euro, so we dont have oportunity to save money in that way.
One thing about Deutche mark - that was best money save, becouse that mark allways was strong, Mercedes was cost 40 000 marks in 1960 and stil 40 000 in 1990, when Euro comes it destoyed everything.. now Mercedes is 40 000 euros (ex 80 000 marks). Only my family was have 100 000 deuche marks in house for investmens before euro. Every Croatian familly was have some marks in house for investment. My neighbour was have 5 000 000 marks stashed in house...euro is kick his budget badly.
That system was good for Croatia and for Germany.
The intrest are high here becouse our investmens are high (turism investmens in appartments, hotels)...one of most powerfull banks and one who is most intriging (we dont know is that jewish bank, but they involved in many criminal aferas) is HIPPO bank

if you look at the wiki list of those countries, it lists a bunch of them. but if you look at the source of the list, the FATF website, it says all those previously on it are now in compliance.
with a list like that on wiki, you have to check the source because it may easily be dated.
Singapore, I dont know the details.
The business of offshore tax treaties is pretty complicated and a super expensive niche for lawyers who are often working in the "lavanderia" business. normal humans hide money more old fashioned ways, like, in cash in a safe deposit box or under one's mattress, or in a bank account under some phony business name, or by going out and buying some expensive paintings or coins and then hiding them .

we suffered a extreme demographic loss over the centurys...
if we take all known sources into account about our population of the X/XI century which is considered to be 850,000 up to 2,000,000... depended on the source, and method of estimating the number... its clear that we suffered a extreme demographic loss, which we never will be able to compensate...
to make a comperation the population of england (britons, angles and saxons) at that time (X/XI. century) is considered to be about 1,000,000 up to 1,200,000; and if we look at the current number which is about 50,000,000 persons; and our current number which is about 4,000,000; is clearly that we suffered a horrible demographic loss of minimum 41,000,000 - 46,000,000 people over the last 900 years, in the "best" case...
which can be only explained by artificial intrusion onto the natural evolution of our nation, or plain and simple a century old struggle for survival (best case scenario is every 30-40 years a conflict of large scale, even in reality it was a permanent neverending war, after the ottoman invasion of Croatia and europe)...

Croatia extradites English paedophile to the UK
An English paedophile who fled to Croatia four years ago to avoid serving a five-year sentence has been extradited to the UK.
At a hearing yesterday (Mon) in the UK, the judge gave former sailor William Stevenson, 71, an additional six months in prison for fleeing abroad.
Stevenson was originally convicted on 10 charges of indecent assault on an adult male and 13 charges of indecent behaviour with a child.
English web site kent-online.co.uk. has reported Stevenson was convicted in absentia in May 2005 after he had posted bail to get out of jail and fled to Croatia in 2004.
Stevenson did not conceal his identity in Croatia. He was arrested by Croatian police in September 2008 and has been in prison since then.
According to his lawyer Simon Wickens, Stevenson has already been punished for his crimes by the time he has spent in an unpleasant Croatian prison

Singapore was mentioned as a country not having bi-lateral relations with the Kwa, concerning free access of client holdings information. ZAGREB, CROATIA – The police have brought in two perpetrators who took out the Serbian flag from a tent in Zagreb`s Ban Jelacic Square and set it on fire near the Mandusevac fountain, Zagreb police reports.
The detained persons are being investigated and there is no detailed information as of yet. Furthermore, the peroptrator`s identity is not familiar.
The flag was set on fire by someone from a group of drunken young men who chanted “Serbs on Weeping Willows”, “Here Comes the dawn, here come Jure and Boban”, the Jutarnji list daily writes. The young men wanted to set the flag on fire inside the tent, but failed to do so and decided to perform the act outside.
Intervention police noticed them and the youths fled, throwing the flag on the floor. Two hooligans were arrested.
- Why are you doing this, why do you need this, couldn`t you have celebrated the victory of our handball players like all normal fans with singing and Croatian flag – one of the officers shouted at the drunken young men, the Jutarnji list writes.
Otherwise, matches of the World Handball Championship are also being played in other Croatian cities. In a separate incident, a Serbian flag was set on fire in Zadar, because it was a problem for the citizens, according to the mayor, therefore he decided to remove the flags of all competing countries.

Parliament Grants 8.4 Mln Euro To Croatian Parties
The budget is equal for every MP, thus most money went to the HDZ (3.6 million euros) and the SDP (3 million euros).
The Croatian budget will single out a total of 60.4 million kuna (approximately 8.4 million euros) for the work of Parliamentary parties, the Parliamentary committee for Constitution, regulations and political system decided on Tuesday.

Vedrana Rudan’s Statement is Pure Anti-Semitism Vedrana Rudan is the manifestation of a widespread sickness in Croatian society, and that is Anti-Semitism, says Ivo Goldstein.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y193894709144062.jpg
T.J.B.ZAGREB, CROATIA - The marking of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Jewish religious association “Bet Israel” and the Jewish congregation of Zagreb, passed with the Anti-Semitic speech by Vedrana Rudan on Nova TV. Her statement that Jews should finally become people, was mentioned a number of times in speeches, and the anniversary of the serious casualties of the Jewish people during World War II became harder.
The president of Bet Israel, Ivo Goldstein, could not hide his disappointment that such comments were shown on national television. He considers that Vedrana Rudan is an unserious person that tried to deal with serious things in a totally wrong way, adding that it is useless to defend yourself from such statements.
“Unfortunately, Mrs Rudan is the manifestation of a widespread disease that manifests itself in the Croatian society, and that is Anti-Semitism” stresses Goldstein.
The Jewish religious association Bet Israel is considering filing a suit against Vedrana Rudan, who after only one “IN magazine” show lost her column.
“I would not like to speak about the steps that we will take now. Things need to calm down a little and then we will se what we will do, but some steps must be taken” considers Goldstein.
However, the small Palestinian boy that died in an Israeli attack, that Rudan keeps on mentioning in her column, is a victim of Israeli politics, before which they cannot close their eyes.
Vedrana Rudan’s column is only one in a series of Anti-Semitic provocations
“A victim is a victim, and I cannot say anything else but that I regret every victim, not only civilian, but every victim that fell in war. However, all of those facts and every such victim needs to be placed in a certain context and not pull out some examples at the cost of some others” said the president of Bet Israel.
In the end he added that Vedrana Rudan’s column is only one in a series of Anti-Semitic provocations that have occurred in recent days. The most terrifying one occurring just before the marking of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
“From one certain telephone number, which seems to be a phone booth in Split, came a threat that a bomb was planted here, and that everything will blow into the air in one hour, with swearing on the account of Jews.
We immediately informed the police, who arrived and searched the whole building. Luckily, they did not find anything” said Goldstein.
The vice-president of the Jewish congregation of Zagreb, Sanja Zoricic Tabakovic, also agrees with him, and saw Vedrana Rudan’s comment by chance. As she says, she would not have looked at it had it not attracted attention.
We considered a law suit and have sent that statement to the world
“I heard that she was talking about the war between the Jews and Palestinians, I started looking at it with a lot of attention. I was shocked with such a real Anti-Semitic outburst” said Zoricic Tabakovic. She added that you cannot link the Holocaust and smoke from Auschwitz with any daily politics and any war of today.
She stresses that this does not mean that people cannot criticize Israeli politics, but that Vedrana Rudan’s comments were pure Anti-Semitism, which must be reacted to.
“We considered a law suit and have sent the statement to the world. We have not finally decided what we will do, I am not even certain if it is us to us to undertake something” said the vice-president of the Jewish congregation in Zagreb. She added that all victims need to be talked about, even Palestinians, but it is Anti-Semitic to bring the Israeli-Palestinian war into the context that Vedrana Rudan did.
Zarko Puhovski, who held the most shaking speech at the ceremony in Bet Israel, considers that it is distasteful and unserious to make such comments in the context of entertainment shows like “IN magazine”.
Vedrana Rudan’s statement certainly helps the Anti-Semitic spirit
“In the context of a semi-humorous show, it needs to be said that it is distasteful and that it certainly helps the Anti-Semitic spirit that exists in one part of the people. That part is small, but it exists” stresses Puhovski.
As he says, he is against law suits, including this one. It is enough to say that something distasteful is in question, considers Puhovski.
“Vedrana Rudan is a person intelligent enough and educated enough to understand that she made a mistake that can be relatively easily fixed” he stresses.
He considers that there is no dispute that every victim is equal, and that a war occurred where the ratio of victims is one hundred to one. Every victim should be spoken about, concluded Puhovski.T.J.B.

This Was A Heroic Act, My Greatest Accomplishment I believe this was a heroic act on my part, because I published names and surnames of Palestinian children from Gaza on a Jewish network.

ZAGREB, CROATIA -
- This is the first in a line of layoffs, they will continue later on – Vedrana Rudan commented on the suspension of editor Danijel Delale, which followed after her `Jew` comment, most severely condemned by the Jewish community in Croatia, calling it hate speech.
Vedrana Rudan, who was fired herself, said she does not think she did something wrong and this is why she did not wish to apologise for her statements.
- They asked me to apologise and if I had, I would have kept my job, but I didn`t want that. I think this was a heroic act on my part, because I published names and surnames of Palestinian children from Gaza on a Jewish network. As long as I live, I will consider this my greatest act – Rudan said, adding she felt like a victim due to the attack by the Jewish community.
- I feel like Ana Frank! – she said, shaken by the entire matter.
Although Nova TV network cancelled their collaboration, she is not afraid of being unemployed, because she has already received many business offers.
- A Croatian television network has offered me a job, guaranteeing that such a thing would not happen again – Rudan concluded, reiterating that all of this was hard on her.

Down On Your Knees Before Jewish Organisations
It seems that Jewish organisations did not realise the brutal truth which Vedrana Rudan presented to the public.
Vedrana Rudan, a writer and columnist f exceptionally sharp and brazen tongue, lost her job on Tuesday because she told the brutal truth about what the entire world is looking away from and pretending that it is not happening. She told her story and her view of the war in Palestine, about a little boy who was killed as the Gaza Strip was shelled.
In her speech on Nova TV network`s show IN Magazin, Vedrana Rudan looked back on her ancestors, on her grandfather who killed in Jasenovac, wondering if she should answer for his crimes and wear that stigma her entire life. It seems, as it turned out in the end, that she should. It seems that Vedrana Rudan was right when she dared to touch on Israel with her severe comment. They showed her it was not allowed. Whoever dares, looses their job.
Palestinian boy as synonym foo Anne Frank
A little boy whose photograph appeared in the end of her piece, frames in black, was Vedrana Rudan`s synonym for Anne Frank. His name was Yahya Hayek. His lifeless body, left under the ruins had to have been identified by his grandmother after the Israel army shelled the Gaza Strip. Because she had to ID him, the grandmother said she would send a thank you note to the Israeli leaders because of their kind and humane gesture.
Rightfully, Rudan wondered why everyone knew who Anne Frank was and nobody knew the name of the little Palestinian boy who was also an innocent victim. Nobody is denying the suffering the Jewish people went through in the time of Nazism and fascism, as Rudan said herself, nobody is denying the Holocaust, but should the entire world fall down on their knees before Israel because of this, 80 years later? In other words, everything should be forgiven to Israel and they can do whatever they want, because they went through the most severe agony 80 years ago, nearly a century ago.
Rudan also said one thing which was severely condemned by the Jewish as well as state organisations, like the National minorities council. She quoted a sentence from the diary of Anne Frank:
- Let Jews stop being Jews and start being people –
It is this sentence that was condemned by the Jewish organisations and made them attack her, without considering the context of Rudan`s story and speech. There is also a sentence which the writer used as a synonym for the suffering of Yahya Hayek, who died in an attack, as well as for many other nameless Palestinian children killed in the brutal Israeli strikes (Israel will surely not accuse anyone of excessive shelling).
Borderline with hate speech
- Vedrana Rudan presented a comment on that show which was borderline with hate speech, more horrible than anti-Semitism - Aleksandar Tolnauer, president of the National minorities council and a member of a Jewish organisation said.
Therefore, Rudan`s comment was on the brink of hate speech, Tolnauer believes, but the question remains why, for instance, he did not voice himself when Zadar Mayor Zivko Kolega removed all national flags from Zadar`s main square, because of just one flag – the Serbian one. Why did all state institutions get past that almost quietly, why did everyone feebly condemn the stoning of the Serbian Hemofarm owner`s car… Wasn`t that hate speech as well?
Why did not the same Jewish organisations condemn Israel`s attacks on Gaza, why did they not condemn the killings of innocent children and people? Are Jewish organisations and their members in Croatia actually that threatened?
Anti-Semitism in Croatia
- Unfortunately, Mrs. Rudan is a manifestation of a wider disease which is manifested in the Croatian society, and this is anti-Semitism – president of the Jewish community in Zagreb Bet Israel Ivo Goldstein pointed out.
Anti-Semitism in the Croatian society? Anti-Semitism, without getting into the historic meaning of the word and its background, means hostility towards Jews. Do Croats and people of other nationality living in Croatia have an anti-Semitic disposition towards Jews and what is Goldstein`s claim exactly based on?
In her peculiar way, without using diplomatic language, Vedrana Rudan condemned Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, a day before the International Holocaust Remembrance Day was marked. With a reason. Or, as Sir Gerald Kaufman would say, member of the British Parliament, of Jewish origin:
- The Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploits the continuing guilt among gentiles over the slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians… The Israelis are implying that Jewish lives are precious, but the lives of Palestinians do not count… Several days ago, spokesperson of the Jewish Army Livovich was asked about Israeli killings of 800 Palestinians, at the time, on Sky News. She replied straight away “500 of them were militants”. This was a Nazi reply.
Untouchable uebermensch
Statement that special UN investigator Richard Falk gave to Reuters can be added, who was sent to the Middle East to look into the state of human rights in the conflict between Israel and Palestine. He concluded that the Israeli Army has committed war crimes in the Gaza Strip. Falk, of Jewish origin, compared the Gaza situation to the Warsaw ghetto, where Jews were located during World War II and which the Germans systematically starved.
It is exactly this that Vedrana Rudan wanted to warn about with her comment.
However, it seems that only one thing is evident in the end. Jewish organisations managed to turn Jews into what Hitler wanted to turn Germans into – uebermensch. The Superman, the untouchable.

Asylum Requested for 3 Year Old For Fear of Croats A Serbian mother from Croatia is seeking political asylum for her three year old child, because it would be abused in Croatia
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y193983157229578.jpg
The mother, who is from Croatia but has Serbian heritage, requested political asylum for her three year old son, with the statement that she and the boy’s father were forced to leave Croatia in 2005. They fled, they claim, because they were faced with exiles that were based on their ethnic heritage, and claim that their family did not receive the requested adequate police protection.
Because of these “personal experiences”, the mother, in the name of the boy who was born in Ireland, but has Croatian citizenship, requested that her son be granted refugee status, justifying the move with “justified fear that her son will experience abuse and exile upon arriving to Croatia”.
So the case that deals with a minor refugee, born on January 2, 2006 in the Rotunda hospital in Ireland, brought into question the status of human rights in Croatia, and the whole story was carried published in the Irish daily newspaper, the Irish Times.
Discrimination of Serbian children
The request for refugee status in the name of the child was first sent in June 2006. The mother carried out an interview in the boy’s name on August 1, 2006, in which she complained of the potential discrimination of Serbian children in the education system, especially because the child will not be able to learn its mother tongue. She mentioned her beliefs, reports the Irish Times, that Croatian nationalists will verbally and physically abuse her son if he lives in the country, and that he would not have the same rights as his peers.
The notes from that interview confirmed that a number of documents were delivered from the country to officials from the boy’s lawyer. Excerpts from those documents attracted attention of the responsible institutions there, because they showed the serious weakening of human rights in Croatia, in 2005.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r2/g2008/m12/y213189102111508996_0.jpg
Error in process
Before preparing a report, the boy’s lawyer wrote to the official’s office who was leading the procedure, complaining that during the interview, they were not allowed to describe how it was like for her and her family to be exiled in Croatia for their ethnic heritage. The mother was told to limit her answers to the experiences of her son, even though she considered her experiences to be important so that the questioner could understand the reasons for filing a request for the status of refugee, for her and her son.
The family claimed that the official made a mistake on the law by violating article 12 on the law on refugees, which relates to the security in the country of origin. She complained that when a country was declared as safe, there are no criteria for making such declarations. The problem occurred because Croatia was declared as a “safe” country in 1996 according to the law on refugees. Because of that, the family did not have the right to the an oral hearing before the appeal court for refugees, because the refugee commissioner evaluated that the boy’s case cannot be placed in that category.
The family disputed the denial of an oral hearing when the country is declared to be safe, considering that the personal circumstances in this case can only be determined via an oral hearing.
Irish court decision bad for Croatia
After the appeal was filed, the court in Ireland concluded that if the family is denied a request to revise the case, they will lose the right to present oral evidence, evaluating that the critical evidence is her mother’s testimony about her own exile, the exile of the father and their wider family.
The judge that is leading the case concluded that the official that worked on the request had to take into account the latest, accurate and checked data on the country of origin, and if there is contradictory information, the official is bound to justify the reasons his decision was made, brought from such conflicting information.
The family based their request on the documentation that worked with the human rights of ethnic minorities in Croatia from: the Human Rights Watch in 2006, an Amnesty International report from 2005, a State Department report from 2005, and an International Helsinki Federation from 2006. According to an evaluation from the judge, all of those documents show that the situation in Croatia (as far as ethnic minority rights are concerned), significantly worsened in 2005.
The official that decided on the request could also hear evidence on the exile of the refugee status seeker, their mother and wider family.
However, according to the judge’s decision, in his report he was “in strong contradiction to the oral and documented evidence, concluding that the request based on fear of exile and ethnic discrimination was not sufficiently founded”.
In order to justify his decision, the official used documentation for 2004 which the Croatian Cabinet sent to the European Council, which the judge characterised as “significantly less accurate (up to date) than the documentation that the status requester offered”.
Judge Irvine then concluded that the family had a strong enough foundation that the official did not weigh all of the evidence enough linked to the country of origin and that his decision was not suitable when you face the “convincing and respectable evidence”.
The judge then brought the decision according to which the family delivered enough evidence which disputes the official’s decision, who did not offer enough arguments and explanations for rejecting the request.
Dragun: They did not contact us
Finally, the judge “recognized the fact that the family was denied the right to offer evidence, on the basis of which she will be able to file an appeal on the final decision for refugee status, if the decision it not good for the family”.
On the other hand, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations did not know about the case any more than they could read from the media.
“Nothing was ever requested from the Croatian embassy in Ireland, nor did that family ever contact us” said the ministry spokesperson Mario Dragun.
Dragun confirmed that the current situation, according to the results from international organizations, is totally different.
The whole court decision is available at www.courts.ie.

THERE IS, THERE ISN`T Is Croatia In Recession Or Isn`t It? What sort of fear and crisis are you taking about when 300,000 people went skiing and 100,000 bought new cars – Markovinovic wondered.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The discussion at the Croatian Parliament on the report of the Croatian National Bank (HNB) for the first half of 2008 turned into a long and exhausting soap opera with representatives of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) arguing over the question whether Croatia is in a crisis or is not. The only thing they agreed on was that the HNB helped to avoid the collapse of the financial system with a wise policy and should reduce interest rates instead of making extra profit, but their views of everyday life hardships differ significantly, depending on if they are from the governing party of the opposition section of the Parliament.
Thus, the SDP said that Croatia is in a severe crisis, on the brink of disaster, freezing and starvation, while the HDZ government irresponsibly avoids passing urgent measures. The governing ones claim that there is no crisis, perhaps the recession which came from abroad was actually “a challenge”. Ingrid Anticevic Marinovic and Krunoslav Markovinovic stated their arguments.
- Cough and poverty cannot be hidden – Anticevic Marinovic of the SDP said.
- What sort of fear and crisis are you taking about when 300,000 people went skiing and 100,000 bought new cars? They can`t make ends meet? How can they make skiing meet? – The HDZ representative asked her.
Damir Kajin of the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) believes Croatia is “going to hell”, regardless of what the government is doing and that the last train for investment has taken off.
Andrija Hebrang of the HDZ said that the IMF would not return to Croatia, because the Croatian government has a programme for the crisis.

GREEK EMBASSY Greek Bloc of Croatian Negotiations Is Nonsense Zafeirios Rossidis, media advisor of the Greek Embassy in Zagreb, claims the bloc due to recognising Macedonia does not exist.

ZAGREB, CROATIA - While Croatia is waiting for the solution of the Slovene bloc of its European Union accession negotiations, according to the Slobodna Dalmacija daily, Greece has joined in, unofficial information states.
According to the daily, although the European Commission believes that Croatia`s justice system reforms and the fight against corruption were heading in the same direction, Greece might block this chapter. Dissatisfaction appeared in Greece as Croatia recognised Macedonian national minorities and the Autokefal Macedonian Orthodox Church.
Greece is obstructing Macedonia from accessing NATO, as well as its negotiations with the European Union because of a dispute which has been dragged along since Macedonia came out of former Yugoslav Republic in 1991. Greece opposes the fact that Macedonia uses the same name as its Northern province and accuses its neighbour of seizing symbols of ancient Greek culture.
Still, the Greek Embassy informs us that such speculation is ungrounded.
- Nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Why would Greece do this? Croatia recognised Macedonia before 2005, so there is no problem with that – Zafeirios Rossidis, media advisor of the Greek Embassy in Zagreb told us.
The name dispute was addressed at the United Nations in 2005, when Matthew Nimitz, special UN representative who was named the mediator of the dispute, sent his proposal for the solution of the Greek-Macedonian dispute.

Croatia, Slovenia Nearer Solution In Border Row Experts from both countries said they had agreed to confine their dispute to a 6-km (4-mile) stretch of land border
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y193962228285487.jpg
Croatia said on Wednesday it had moved closer to resolving an 18-year-old border dispute with Slovenia which has been blocking its European Union membership bid.
Experts from both countries said they had agreed to confine their dispute to a 6-km (4-mile) stretch of land border but had made less progress on a sea border in the Northern Adriatic. The land border is 664 km long.
Diplomats say the dispute, which the two countries have not been able to settle since Yugoslavia collapsed in 1991, must be resolved quickly if Croatia is to complete EU accession talks this year and join the 27-member bloc in 2011.
"In these 18 years, perhaps we have never come closer to reaching a proposal on how to overcome this which we could put forward to our governments," Davorin Rudolf, head of the Croatian team, told a news conference.
The countries still need to agree on what type of international arbitration would be acceptable to both.
EU-member Slovenia has for the last few months vetoed the opening and conclusion of a number of negotiating chapters in Croatia's EU entry talks because of the border row.
Rudolf said he wanted to pursue talks but his Slovenian counterpart, Miha Pogacnik, said he needed to consult his government before moving forward
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r2/g2006/m12/x31126890774152589.jpg
"We have discussed everything. But for some issues that need political negotiations, we shall need replies from the governments. Our legal side of the work is more or less finished," Rudolf said.
The European Commission has asked Nobel Peace Prize winner Martti Ahtisaari, former Finnish president and veteran diplomat, to help mediate the conflict if both parties agree to it.
"I think Brussels has become very annoyed with this issue and they want it to end. Eventually both countries will have to agree to international mediation, after which Slovenia will lift their veto," Croatian political analyst Zeljko Trkanjec said.
Slovenia has blocked Croatia's EU accession talks over documents it says were prejudicial to the border dispute. It wants legally binding assurances from Croatia that these documents will not be used to solve the border issue.
Rudolf said the teams agreed that no documents or maps issued after the two countries became independent from Yugoslavia in 1991 would be relevant in the dispute.
Croatia preferred to see the dispute settled before the International Court of Justice in The Hague but did not rule out international mediation, he added.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian MPs are not concerned with yesterday`s sketch at the Slovene Parliament. Because of Janez Jansa party`s (Slovene Democratic Party) decision not to take part in the vote on accepting the protocol for Croatian and Albanian NATO accession, the Slovene Parliament ended its sitting and will discuss Croatian NATO accession in mid-February, which might jeopardise Croatian schedule of accession due in April.
Former Croatian defence minister, Social Democrat Zeljka Antunovic believes that this meant Jansa was setting up current Slovene Prime Minister Borut Pahor.
No control
Political parties, Italian national minority representative Furio Radin believes, have long since lost control in their relations, when it comes to solving the border dispute with Croatia.
- They did not disagree over the support of Croatia for NATO accession, but on some sort of political raqueteering within Slovenia. I don`t see serious indications that this will be long lasting. Current PM Borut Pahor and former PM Janez Jansa will have to agree. The dispute is over not passing the financial report that refers to Janez Jansa`s term. Where is the way out I wouldn`t go that far into their options of agreement. Slovenia has no interest in NATO or European Union structures objecting to it. I would simply say that Slovenes are caught in their own web, which they wanted to set up for us. As far as our European Union accession is concerned. Rapporteur of the European Parliament for Croatia Hannes Swoboda visited Zagreb today and repeated that he expects the end of negotiations by the end of 2009 – Zeljka Antunovic of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) believes.
Vesna Pusic of the Croatian People`s Party (HNS) agreed with her:
- I believe that lack of agreement between the position and the opposition in Slovenia is in question, which unfortunately abrupts the relations of out two countries in an already delicate situation – said the head of the Croatian Parliamentary committee for monitoring European Union accession.
- This cannot stop Croatia`s NATO accession, because this is a question of strategic and security interest for the region, therefore Slovenia as well – Pusic added.
- This is a vicious circle, as far as they are concerned… Big fish decide on NATO, not Slovenia or Croatia. When will we access NATO? I don`t know, but this will surely be solved one day – Furio Radin, Italian national minority representative, concluded.

Croatia to play Poland in handball semi-finals
Croatia will face Poland this evening (Fri) at 8:30 pm in the semi-finals of the World Handball Championships.
Coach Lino Cervar said today: "We are analysing our opponent and searching for opportunities. We are dealing with an opponent worthy of our respect. It will not be easy, but we want to write history, and for that we have to leave the floor with bloody knees."
Cervar also thanked the fans and asked them to continue to support the players.
Croatian player Domagoj Duvnjak said: "Everybody is expecting gold from us. But to say something like that would be really dumb and unfair to our opponent. We fear no one. We have to keep cool heads, and, if we want to win, we need to leave our hearts on the floor."
A lot will depend on goalkeeper Mirko Alilovic, who said: "We are preparing on a physical level. We are full of confidence, but we are taking one step at a time

Heart-shaped islet is top attraction before St. Valentine´s Day
A remote, heart-shaped islet in the Adriatic has become a top attraction for couples in love in the run-up to St. Valentine's Day on 14 February.
Thanks to photos at Google Earth, many people have noted the islet, named Galesnjak, has the shape of a heart.
The family of Vlado Juresko from Preko on nearby Pasman Island, who owns Galesnjak, is ready to make the 130,000-square-metres islet available to couples as long as they are older than 16, according to daily newspaper "Slobodna Dalmacija."
Juresko is also planning to organize a 1.5-kilometre-long race across the deserted islet for such couples, many of whom have already indicated interest in participating in it.
Juresko claims Galesnjak looks more like a heart than any other island in the world, including Australian Heart Reef.

Croatia Ends Negotiations with EU This Year Minister Kosor thanked the officers for their sacrifice that enabled Croatia to complete negotiations with the EU this year.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m01/y194205856639712.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The First Croatian Police Association, which gathers the first ever armed police troops in Croatia, held its fifth assembly at the Zagreb Police Academy. Croatian Homeland War Soldiers’ Minister Jadranka Kosor attended the assembly as a special guest.
Croatia is ending negotiations with the EU this year
After the Croatian national anthem and a minute of silence for all those killed during the Homeland War, Minister Kosor held an opening speech.
The minister thanked the officers and their families for the courage and perseverance they showed during the war in Croatia, adding that without their sacrifice, Croatia would not be what it was today.
- Today, Croatia is a member of the Security Council and soon, we can count the days, we will become members of NATO. This year definitely, despite all the blockades, we will end our negotiations with the European Union, and all this would not be possible without you – the minister said.
Plan to prevent Homeland War soldiers from being forgotten
Minister Kosor stated an idea of how to prevent Homeland War soldiers and police officers from being forgotten, which is that pupils should, at least once, visit Vukovar, see its water tower and light candles at the memorial cemetery.
- No Croatian Homeland War veteran should be forgotten. I call on all citizens of Croatia to do everything for them – Kosor said.
In her speech, the minister said that her ministry had never removed funds from any project intended for the Homeland War veterans and that the budget of six billion kuna should suffice for projects that will make possible the employment of veterans, their pensions and housing.
In the end Kosor voiced her wish that as many people gather at the Plitvice Lakes where homage will be paid to Josip Jovic, the first Croatian police officer killed in the Homeland War.

PHOTO: Fans Celebrating in Tent Since 6am Although the final handball match has not even begun yet, fans have been warming up in the tent in Zagreb’s main square since 6am.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – Whatever the outcome of the final world handball championship match between Croatia and France may be, almost everything is ready at Zagreb’s main Ban Jelacic Square for a phenomenal greeting of Croatia’s players at 8:30pm. And even through the game has not even started yet, people have been celebrating since the early morning hours.
- We bought the tickets for the finals before Christmas at a price of 350 kuna. The seats in the hall are not great, but all that matters is that we are there. We have all the cheering props: flags, jerseys and trumpets – said 21-year-old Matej Smolic from Nova Gradiska, while his friend Ivan Artukovic added:
- Beer is also an unavoidable cheering prop.
With a smile on their faces and tickets in their pockets, three friends from Nova Gradiska arrived in Zagreb just for the finals. As they said, they expect Croatia to win.
Zvone from Sibenik: We arrived at the tent at 6am
But not everybody was so lucky. A large jolly group from Sibenik, who watched the Croatian team in Split, arrived in Zagreb hoping to get tickets for the finals. They tried everything, but did not manage to get any, as all tickets have been sold out long ago. Not even a red and white chequered hat which they put on the ground of the tent to get a few kuna. Tourists liked that idea, so they threw a few kuna into the hat.
- We arrived from Sibenik at 6am and we were here first in the tent. All is excellent! The defeat to France will not happen again, we will win 36:26 – 24-year-old Zvone said, adding that the atmosphere in Zagreb could be better than it was in Split.
The rest of his friends sang and had fun, holding their beers and expecting more fans to arrive to the tent.
The Portuguese also cheering for Croatia
Apart from Croatia’s faithful fans, 32-year-old Vitor Marques and Ricardo Coito from Portugal will also cheer for the Croatian team.
- We arrived from Portugal to watch the World Handball Championship. We like Croatia because of the fun the hosts will provide us. We think Croatia will win over France, it has better players and an excellent audience which will exert pressure. We have already been to Zadar and Split. We arrived to Zagreb on Tuesday and we like it – they said.

Croatian Pupils to Learn about Holocaust in Israel
The holocaust cannot be compared to current events from the viewpoint of politics, the minister said, evidently alluding to Gaza
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The issue of holocaust cannot be compared to today’s events from some daily political views – Croatian Education Minister Dragan Primorac said opening a seminar for teachers about teaching about the holocaust and preventing crimes against humanity.
- I often go to Israel and I wish to personally take there a group of pupils from Croatia so they can see the Yad Vashem – the minister said. We will put forward a written proposition to the Israeli government when the parliamentary elections are over there. We will organise a trip for out students by the end of this year and the arrival of Israeli students by the end of the 2010. It is my great wish that they see how much we have done here in Croatia regarding education since we started the project in 2004, at the beginning of my mandate, he said.
Croatia made most progress in the region
During the past five years, 500 Croatian teachers underwent education about the holocaust and another 160 were educated abroad – in the United States, Israel and the European Union. Today they are educators for teachers in neighbouring countries. Israel also has a signed bilateral agreement on scientific cooperation and student exchange only with Croatia, America and Germany.
The seminar for the teachers will last until February 4. The first of 16 lecturers, among several from Israel and the United States, was Ivo Goldstein, a renowned historian and member of the Jewish community in Croatia. In his lecture about the Independent State of Croatia (NDH, 1941-1945) he stressed that it was “a notorious historical fact” that after the state was proclaimed, most Croatians realised it was not a state they wanted.
- Most Croatian citizens were at first satisfied and accepted Yugoslavia’s defeat in the war and the establishment of the NDH in the sense of establishment of an independent Croatia and they believed that the brief April war avoided the bloodshed that was in other countries in Europe. There is no doubt that soon they were disappointed and had less sympathies for the newly established state. The first great shock for the Croatian national feeling were Roman agreements on demarcation between Italy and NDH from May 18, 1941, with which Italy got almost the whole of Dalmatia, large areas of the Croatian coastal region and parts of Gorski Kotar, although the population in those areas were exclusively Croatian. At that time Stories went around Split that all the land to Karlovac would be Italian and from Karlovac German.
Goldstein: Pavelic was a mayor of Zagreb without suburbs
Professor Goldstein cited to the public, which also included the Israeli Ambassador to Croatia,
Liquidations over Abortions
Ivo Goldstein illustrated the cruelty of the NDH towards its own citizens with ads that had been massively put up during those days, which read that a Zagreb midwife had been shot to death by decision of the “mobile criminal court” because she carried out an abortion on a pregnant woman for 400 kuna.
Schmuel Meirom, numerous reports, statements and quotes proving that the NDH regime soon caused disgruntlement by Croatians and in its first year brought about high inflation, a high rate of unemployment and food shortages. “That government’s minister, Mile Bodak, admitted that when he said in his speech in Gospic in 1943 ‘There is not enough food here!’”
Numerous Croats, Goldstein said, opposed The Ustashi persecution of Jews and Serbs.
- The estimates were that in 1942 Ante Pavelic had the support of only two percent of the population in Croatia, and a report from 1943 says: “when it comes to the governing and power of Ante Pavelic, he is merely the mayor of Zagreb without suburbs” – Goldstein said.
In the end he stressed that the destruction of Jews in the NDH had been carried out systematically and that the genocide had achieved its goal – after the war, the Jewish community could not be renewed.

BRITT LAPTHORNE CASE Elke Lapthorne: We Have Not Seen Suspect’s Photo Channel 7 conducted their own investigation in Croatia and came to their conclusions and findings, Mrs. Lapthorne told Javno.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194493287483415.jpg
After Melbourne’s Channel 7 made a bombastic announcement that they will for the first time reveal the identity of a person they call the chief suspect in the murder of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne, we contacted Britt’s mother, Elke, who told us that the family have not yet seen the photograph of the suspect themselves.
- Channel 7 conducted their own investigation in Croatia and came to their conclusions and findings and what they believe is the chief suspect in Britt’s murder – Mrs. Lapthorne told Javno.
Earlier we contacted the Dubrovnik police who said they had no new leads in the case and had absolutely no suspects in the death of the 21-year-old tourist.
When we asked Elke Lapthorne how Channel 7 can presume to have located and obtained a photograph of the “main suspect” in the case when not even the Australian pathologist could not determine Britt’s cause of death, Elke said:
- It is correct that the cause of death could not be determined, but we definitely suspect it was foul play. Britt was not suicidal by any means and there is nothing that would make us believe she wasn’t murdered.
The Lapthorne family will be meeting the producers of the documentary this week, before the show airs on Sunday, when they will show them the picture of the “main suspect” and reveal to them what discoveries the Channel 7 team has arrived to during their investigation.
- We are very eager to see what they have found and to see the photo of the suspect and learn what they have discovered during their investigation – Mrs Lapthorne concluded

PROSERBIAN PAROLES Pro-Serbian Graffiti Sprayed In Croatian Vukovar The graffiti were sprayed on the Post wall and cinemas in Borovo naselje quarter, the children`s playground and buildings
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194455353442128.jpg
VUKOVAR, CROATIA – Many graffiti written in Cyrillic letters dawned on Tuesday morning on buildings in Vukovar.
Apart from the usual cross with four letters `S`, writings `This is Serbia`, `Death To Croats`, `Death to Ustasha`, `Welcome to the Serbian Republic – you are all Serbs` and similar pro-Serbian paroles were sprayed during the night with car paint at various locations across the city.
The graffiti dawned on the Post wall and cinemas in Borovo naselje quarter, the children`s playground, park walls and housing estates.
The police constantly fight nationalist graffiti in Vukovar, because as a rule, they never find the perpetrators, unless they are caught red-handed.
Just a day before Croatian Victory and Veterans` Day and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, graffiti reading `Serbia`, `This is Serbia` and the cross with four letter `S`, dawned on the Ovcara Memorial Home on August 5, 2008

FROM PARLIAMENT MP: `Ready for Homeland´ is Equal to Sieg Heil Will the PM be sanctioned for drinking alcohol in the Arena, who knows, and Kajin equalised `ready for homeland´ with Sieg Heil.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194561548481474.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA - “Luckily they did not translate `ready for the homeland´ for the English premier Brown, because it means the same as “Sieg Heil”. Luckily they stopped at a racist outburst” said Damir Kajin from the IDS (Istrian Democratic Assembly) in the discussion on sports fans in the Croatian parliament.
He considers that the law on sports competitions needs to be complimented with a law on music events, because disorder occurs there as well, and that Markovic and Bilic must pull players from the field as soon as the chants `ready for the homeland´ begin.
The SDP (Social Democratic Party) member Sime Lucin stresses that by implementing that law in 2001, violence left the stadiums, and that serious analyses need to be made, and he brought up the issue of equality before the law.
“Will the law on fans be implemented on all fans, or only those outside the VIP section? Let the MUP (Ministry of Internal Affairs) decide if they will punish premier Ivo Sanader for drinking alcohol during a sports match, inside the sporting object” said Lucin.
The state secretary in the MUP, Ivica Buconjic, avoided answering a question on Sanader and his enjoyment of alcohol in a place where it is specifically forbidden.
However, Dragutin Lesar, an independent parliamentarian, came with a concrete proposal by saying: “Premier Sanader should pay a fine of 10,000 kuna, or apologise for the oversight that occurred to him. Or the credibility of the law on fans is in question.

Chetniks never went over to the Partizans unlike many Ustashe who simply discarded their U insignia and put on the red star, this was the scum that went on to ethnically cleanse Italian Istria and Dalmatia, murdering the Italian population whom they accused of collaborating with the Italian 'Fascists'.

The Partizan strategy was to kill as many German soldiers in the most bestial way in areas populated by Serbs in order to cause mass reprisals. Many of the Partizans carrying out these attacks were muslims and croats. This was a great opportunity for them to do damage to the Serbs.

Serbs in govt positions? I wish
During the recent wars in former Yugoslavia one of the objectives of ZOG propaganda was to create a myth about Serbian hegemony as a reason for separatism and war crimes over Serb population commited by other federal republics. Articles describing causes which led to war often state that Yugoslav non-Serbs couldn't tolerate "aggressive Serbian domination" any more so they rebeled in order to protect their basic rights, however reality is quite opposite because Serbs didn't take much part in state governing, most decisions were made by others which later claimed that they are oppressed by Serbs. Here is list of people which governed former Yugoslavia, as it can be seen Serbs were a minority in decision making despite the fact that Serbia was the biggest republic and that Serbs were the biggest ethnic group:
A COMMENT ON THE TERM
"SERB-DOMINATED YUGOSLAVIA"
One of the major theoretical and empirical dictums of international law
and political theory states that a country's president, prime minister,
foreign minister and top military officials, including party leaders in
the former Communist countries, are politically empowered to generate
political (and legally binding) decisions. In former Yugoslavia, the
omnipotent federal communist masters (the Yugoslav Communist Party
Politburo chiefs)
1) J. B. TITO (Croat),
2) E. KARDELJ (Slovene), and
3) V. BAKARIC (Croat),
with their disciples in the post-Tito era
1) S. DOLANC (Slovene),
2) J. VRHOVEC (Croat), and
3) B. MIKULIC (Croat from Bosnia and Herzegovina)
were the major decision-makers until Tito's death (1980). The following
list includes political principals of the Yugoslav enterprise who, during

what have you been smoking?
Draza did not escape to the US or the west like Pavelic, he like hundreds of thousands of nationalist Serbs was murdered by the Croat Tito's Partizans.
If it were not for the communist partizans croatia would never have gotten Italian Dalmatia and Istria. So instead of attacking them you should be kissing their asses. They also prevented us from taking our just revenge on you for your crimes against us, everything from forced conversions to catholicism, massacres, ethnic cleansing, etc.
and so did the fairy tale hour started...
get lost from our thread serv, because with your presence your are already polluting it...
hounderds of thousands? i thought that was pavelic...:D
serv, you are obiviously confused by permanent lying, so at the end of the die you dont even know which lies youve spoken out, was it tito or pavelic...
:lulz:
wasnt changing the insignias are servian thing 1944/1945... when almost all of you changed the sajkaca to the red star...
if istria und dalmatia are italian, then servia is bulgarian... if we follow you logic... T.J.B.
one question; wasnt istria and dalmatia so called "western servian land"? or are you again confused...T.J.B.
how they prevented you we saw it at bleiburg...

The Partizan strategy was to kill as many German soldiers in the most bestial way in areas populated by Serbs in order to cause mass reprisals. Many of the Partizans carrying out these attacks were muslims and croats. This was a great opportunity for them to do damage to the Serbs.
again you must be confused?
arent you allways saying that all croats were ustashas? you remember nazicroats tralala...?T.J.B.
and somehow if it fits better to your cheap propaganda then all were partisans...
what a pathetic strategy...
to make some things clear, when our servian "brothers" are active on nationalist forums then all croats are PARTISANS/communists etc and slaughtered 2 zillion servs in jasenovac, genocid cry cry...
but if they play with their friends the kikes, or are on some left or liberal forum
then again the same story just lil bit modified, now all of us were USTSHAS, and again killed 10 zillion servs and the old jasenovac rant...

Learn to use QUOTE properly you fucking retard.
Again, unlike the hundreds of thousands of croat ustashe who were allowed to switch sides and become Partizans, which allowed them to continue their killing of Serbs Chetniks were rounded up by the commies and shot. There are mass graves of these murdered patriots all over former Yugoslavia. Draza was murdered by the Partizans unlike Pavelic who was allowed safe passage out of the country.
switching sides was allways your characteristic, started with the turks when you became their vassal... and served them in their AGGRESSION on all WHITE CHRISTIAN european nations...
have you forgotten this, too...

In proportion to the population the bosnian muslims had the highest number of partizans. Serbs and croats were equally represented, of course Im only refering to the foot soldiers. The leaders were all croat, slovene, crypto jews with a couple of Serbian traitors thrown in for the sake of diversity. Tito, Kardelj, Mosa Pijade, etc.

bosnian muslims? your are fucking insane, there is no other explanation for your idiocys...

DEATH THREATS ‘This Is the Last Tournament You Organised’ Zagreb Indoors director Branko Horvat received death threats due to surprising results of the tennis players
ZAGREB, CROATIA - The director of the Zagreb Indoors tennis tournament has received death threats.
It has been confirmed that the threats were made due to surprising results of tennis players at the tournament and Horvat was told via an e-mail message that he would not live to see the next tournament.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194653022606349.jpg
- This is the last tournament you organised – said the e-mail whose contents Horvat revealed to reporters.
- This is incredible what is happening to me. It is all related to the surprising results at the Indoors. The director of the tournament simply cannot influence the results, it is in anybody’s interest that the main stars stay in the tournament for as long as possible. I am very scared over this. This is not normal – the evidently distressed Horvat said.
The threat arrived after a number of surprising victories by tennis players who are low on the ATP list.

CRISIS CENTRE ESTABLISHED Airplane Crashes on Croatia’s Mount Velebit The Cesssna crashed into Mount velebit's highest point. Searc and rescue teams are on their way to the scene.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194651993721087.jpg
ZADAR, CROATIA – A Cessna 303 carrying three passengers from Slovakia crashed at the very summit of Mount Velebit. According to unofficial information the plane carried three Croatian pilots.
Immediately after the report of the accident, the search and rescue service was informed to check out this very rough terrain in which there is currently a thick fog and the snow can be up to three metres deep.
According to the first information, the aircraft lifted off from Bratislava with its destination being the Croatian town of Zadar. The last communication with the crew was at 15:40 hours when the plane was above the highest point of Mount Velebit which is located at an altitude of 1,757 metres (Interactive map of the Vagan summit - geonames).
Zadar police spokeswoman Sonja Simurina told us a crisis centre has been established at the police which immediately began an investigation to determine what happened to the plane and passengers.
- The flight control at the Zeminuk airport reported that it had lost communication with the aircraft that had a pilot and two passengers at around 15:40 hours. All I can tell you for now is that the search has begun – Simurina told us.
The head of the Search and Rescue service, Vinko Prizmic, said in the evening that due to poor visibility, the search from the air yielded no results. But members of the mountain Search and Rescue Service from Zadar are searching for the missing plane from the north side.

no, and i seriously doubt we will ever, because a very simple fact, servian claims over our territory; their imaginary "western servian lands" aka "great servia"...
without truth and mutual respect there cant be any cooperation, because those elements are the fundaments.
So who is Milan Nedic?
he was the leader of the autonomic servia during the wwII, also the leader of a chetnik faction called "nedicevci", and is the only respectable servian politican/leader in the whole 20 century...
his servia even cooperated with us, for example economicly... because we had the same enemy, the bolshevik partisans and the other maraudering chetnik hordes (which for example sides with the allies and the italians)...

PLANE CRASHED No Signals from Plane, Search Not Going Well The weather conditions are so bad that the search for the missing Cessna is not going well, nothing can be seen at six to ten metres
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194742771206319.jpg
GOSPIC, CROATIA – Head of the Croatian Mountain Search and Rescue Service, Vinko Prizmic, denied some media reports that they have managed to locate mobile phone signals of all four passengers in the Cessna that apparently crashed on Mount Velebit.
- The mobile phones are non-functional. When they were functional, we did a reconstruction and entered it into an analysis – Prizmic said.
This could help locate the pilots, but according to Prizmic, the search for survivors is not going well due to the rough conditions of the terrain.
- The conditions are so bad that the search is not going well. Visibility is only six to ten metres – Prizmic said.
In the meantime, Lika-Senj County police said police patrols collected information from locals from the north-east side of the mountain, which directs the search towards the area of the Vagan summit which has not been completely cleared of mines. 43 police are still searching the area on the north-east side of Mount Velebit. Due to poor weather conditions, the police helicopter still has not taken off to help with the search

Bozic: We Will Search for Days if Needed Bozic told us that his team is ready and that they will soon depart for Velebit. Despite the bad weather he believes in a positive outcome
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194797841580742.jpg
The alpinist Stipe Bozic and his team joined in the search for the missing Cessna, which disappeared on Thursday at around 3:45pm over Velebit mountain. In a telephone conversation with us, he said that they are ready and that they are heading towards Velebit. Despite the poor weather, he believes that the result will be positive.
“The teams are ready and we are leaving. We will start from the south side of Velebit and if needed we will search for days, until we find them. It is cloudy up there, the visibility is poor and there is a strong wind, but I believe that we will find them” said Stipe Bozic.
In August 2008, Stipe Bozic participated in saving a Polish alpinist on Omis’ Dinara mountain. That took place one month after Bozic’s son and daughter-in-law died in a car crash in Drvenik. Josko Bozic was the head of the Split station of the Croatian mountain rescue service.
The search headquarters, founded in Zadar’s police headquarters, checks all of the information that can be gathered from witnesses, however, it is mainly the impressions from certain individuals.
Remember, the Cessna aircraft was carrying four pilots, and was flying from Zagreb towards Zadar, and disappeared on Thursday afternoon on Velebit. Also participating in the search are 35 members of the Croatian mountain rescue service and members of the special police.
Even though the weather conditions do not allow searching from the air, and landmines are hampering the searching of certain terrain, helicopters are prepared to fly and could take off if the weather allows it.

Dale Lapthorne: Croatian Police Ignore Evidence Britt’s father considers that Croatian police ignored other kidnapping attempts, and says they do not want to know what happened to Britt.
Australia’s “Channel 7” broadcast a documentary on Sunday about the Britt Lapthorne case, which they linked to three attempted kidnappings in Dubrovnik. The young Australian Amber said that only five days after Britt disappeared, a group of men tried to kidnap her, and Kate, who was attaked a year earlier recognized the photo robot.
Dale Lapthorne, the father of Britt Lapthorne, said that the Croatian police are ignoring all of the evidence.
Britt’s father Dale said for Javno that the documentary is good and that there is a lot of new information. However, he said that they were frustrated due to the procedures by Dubrovnik’s police who are ignoring the other crimes and evidence of the whole case.
He added that the Croatian police want to show Britt’s death as an unfortunate accident.
Croatian police should protect tourists
Dale mentioned that Dubrovnik’s police keep on mentioning the autopsy results. He said that the autopsy did not show that Britt was not killed, and that nothing was proven. The autopsy did not manage to reveal the cause of death. Dale said that he cannot understand how the police can keep giving such statements.
Dale concluded that the Croatian police do not want to know exactly what happened to Britt.
He said that Dubrovnik’s police should firstly protect the tourists.
Dale said that normal young people are now afraid to visit Dubrovnik after all of this, and that the police can fix that only if they protect tourists.
Britt’s father voiced his gratitude for the support from the Croatian and Australian media.
We tried to contact the Dubrovnik police, but nobody answered the telephone all morning.
However, at around 1pm an announcement arrived from Zlatko Sokolar, the head of the Dubrovnik-Neretva police department. They repeated that the case of Britt Lapthorne’s death is still open, and that cooperation with Interpol is continuing, as well as the bilateral cooperation of the police with certain countries.
The report states that up until now, the police have every notice or information that they have received aimed at solving the circumstances of her death.
“Only after a detailed study of the Channel 7 documentary, and new information, we will be able to say more” it says in the report.
A few days ago they said that they have no new evidence and that they cannot speak about a suspect because the autopsy did not show the cause of Britt Lapthorne’s death.

3 Victims of Dubrovnik Fake Police Make Contact All three women described the attempted kidnapping in front of the Fuego club where Britt Lapthorne was last seen.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194884767485448.jpg
The three girls said that whilst they were in Dubrovnik, a group of men tried to kidnap them around the time that Britt Lapthorne disappeared, report the Australian media. The investigation that Australia’s Channel 7 showed during the show Saturday Night, links Britt Lapthorne with the young tourists that managed to escape the kidnap attempts.
Britt Lapthorne was last seen in the Fuego club in Dubrovnik on September 18, 2008. Her body was found three weeks later at the Boninovo beach nearby.
The young Australian Amber gave the police new leads, saying that only five days before the disappearance of Britt Lapthorne a group of men tried to kidnap her. Amber left the Fuego club and headed home when a truck pulled over next to her, in which there was a man that tried to kidnap her.
“I heard a car accelerate and I turned around and saw a blue van with two men in the front seat and a man hanging out the side sliding door, coming towards me” “I have never run so fast or screamed so loud in my life” said Amber.
Besides this Australian, two other girl talked about attempted kidnappings. Jennifer Blanchard, a tourist from New York, said that ten days after the disappearance of Britt Lapthorne, two men came up to her in front of the Fuego club. They tried to arrest her, but she realised that instead of a police badge they showed her a credit card, so she fled.
The photo robot of the person believed to have attacked Jennifer Blanchard was shown to the Australian who presented herself as Kate, who two men also tried to kidnap a year ago from the Fuego club. Kate recognised the person on the photo robot that attacked her.
We add that the Dubrovnik resident Vinko Cosmai, the owner of the Fuego night club, said in a conversation for the newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija, that he will sue the Australian television station “Channel 7” for false claims. Channel 7’s documentary about the death of the Australian Britt Lapthrne claims that his club is the gathering place of an organized group of kidnappers who kidnap girls and women who are foreign tourists to Dubrovnik.

IVANA HODAK MURDER Minister: We Definitely Have Murderer Of I. Hodak Croatian Interior Minister said it was not fair to say that the police did not arrest the murderer of Ivana Hodak.
MOUNT VELEBIT, CROATIA - During his visit to the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) search at Mount Velebit, looking for the missing Cessna plane, Croatian Interior Minister Tomislav Karamarko said it was not fair to say that the police did not arrest the murderer of Ivana Hodak, the Vecernji list daily reports.
Answering to the question if he can say with certainty that the man who killed Ivana Hodak was actually arrested, Karamarko replied that he was absolutely certain of it.
- Only theories which appear after so much of hard work and energy invested into solving this case are contrary. Such versions and thesis are nor fair, but this is part of our job and the most important thing for us is for the killer to be where he belongs – Karamarko told the Vecernji list daily.
He also commented on the Britt Lapthorne case.
Accusations of Australian reporters, who state that officers in Dubrovnik admitted that there were attempted kidnappings, just when they provided evidence on two more cases, were dubbed speculations by Karamarko, adding that the police would look into it, but these images in the media do not show Croatia in good light.

ADOPTION OF LAW Slovenia Ratifies Croatia’s Accession in NATO Out of the 85 present MPs at the parliament session, 75 voted for the ratification and 11 voted against Croatia entering NATO
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194999991053208.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – On Monday afternoon, the Slovenian parliament adopted with a two-thirds majority the Law on the Ratification of Croatia’s Accession Protocol for Entry into NATO.
Out of the total 86 members of parliament who were resent at the session, 75 voted for the law, while 11 voted against. With this, the law was adopted because more than two-thirds of MPs voted in favour of the law.
Beforehand, members of the Slovenian parliament unanimously adopted the law on Albania’s accession protocol to NATO.
Croatia’s Foreign Ministry hails the Slovenian parliament’s decision
The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations commends the decision of the Croatian parliament about adopting the law on Croatia joining NATO, the ministry said in statement.
With this act, the Slovenian parliament became the 21st out of the 26 NATO members which ratified the protocol on expansion of the Alliance to Croatia, the statement said.
Croatia is also soon expecting the protocol on accession to NATO from the remaining NATO members – Greece, Iceland, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Portugal – so Croatia could take part as a full member in April’s NATO summit in Strasbourg and Kehl, on occasion of the marking of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of NATO

AFTER ENTERING NATO Barack Obama to Visit Croatia in April? Obama could spend a few hours during April visiting one of the new NATO members, either Croatia or Albania.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y194547694222944.jpg
According to sources close to the Whitehouse, the American president Barack Obama could visit Zagreb in April, writes Globus. Unofficial sources state that the American president could visit at the start of April, because he will probably attend a G20 meeting in London.
After that, on April 3 and 4, he will meet the leaders of NATO at the NATO summit which is celebrating its 60th anniversary. After that, Obama could, it was said, visit one of the new NATO members for a few hours, either Croatia or Albania. However, even if there is on visit, the presidents and premiers of Croatia and Albania will most probably receive a special invitation for the Whitehouse, where they should meet with Obama in May.
Meeting the new American president is very important for Croatia, especially if premier Ivo Sanader’s strategy of France pressuring Slovenia for Croatia’s entry into the European Union does not work, because Sanader will be able to let Obama know about that problem.T.N.B.

SENJ, CROATIA – After the first parts of the crashed aircraft were found on Tuesday morning, stories began going round that the bodies of the crew members had also been found.
In order to reveal the truth, we contacted Lila-Senj police spokeswoman Kristina Maodus.
- The Cessna has not been found, only parts of it. The bodies have also not been found. They could
During the search, there was an avalanche that rolled onto the special police member and he broke his leg.
Kristina Maodusbe in the vicinity of the parts of the plane, but for now that is only speculation. The rain is making the search difficult, as is the unattainable area that is rigged with mines. It is already getting dark and the search will stop for today – she told us.
Special police officer suffered serious injuries
When asked if a special police member had been injured during the search, she said:
- During the search, there was an avalanche that rolled onto the special police member and he broke his leg. Because of the break and other injuries he sustained he will be hospitalised at the Gospic Hospital – the spokesman told us.
We wanted to know if there any clues that would indicate why the crash occurred.
- It is difficult to say. The details of the accident will be known only after the on-sight investigation is completed – Maodus said and added that numerous members of the special police are there on the field to continue the search which was started six days ago.
A member of the Search and Rescue Service, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the speculation is that the accident occurred when the pilot of the Cessna, while flying towards the Vagan Summit on Mount Velebit, suddenly turned the aircraft, which the plane could not withstand, so it crashed.

CHEAPER FREEWAY TOLL FEES Parliament to Discuss Concession for Motorcyclists The SDP party proposes that motorcyclists be a special group who would pay 50 percent less tolls than first group vehicles
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195073343514417.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA - The Croatian parliament will consider the SDP (Social Democratic Party) proposal to enable 50 percent lower freeway tolls on February 11.
SDP says that this would lower the death rate of motorcycle riders, who do not want to drive on the freeways due to the high freeway tolls.
They propose that motorbike riders be placed in a special group of vehicles that would pay 50 percent lower road tolls compared to first group vehicles.
The Cabinet is against such a proposal, and claims that they are busy with giving permission to the Croatian freeways, to implement a new group of vehicles, for motorbikes, motor tricycles and quadcycles, which would pay 40 percent less than the first group of vehicles.
SDP considers that it is an issue that should be regulated with a law, and not a cabinet decision.

POLICE CLAIM OTHERWISE Dubrovnik Residents Knew of Kidnapers for Months Back in September there were stories about men in a blue van who introduce themselves as police, then try to kidnap people
My sister told me the other day that she heard (and that is 100%), anyway, some blue van stops for you, and two special police exit, show you a badge and try to shove you into the van. That occurred, maybe two weeks ago in Gruz. Two girls and two guys from Australia were down probably in the park, and one girl went to buy cigarettes at the kiosk, and the others went to sit in the car and the van probably stopped for her, they showed her a badge and tried to shove her into the van, then her two friends saw that and ran towards the others, and they started running…and it was as if it was like that at the post office two-three days later. God forbid. Anyway, that special police officer that told my sister this said that you should not play with that, and that we girls should take care of ourselves and not go anywhere alone.
The text by a girl, under the pseudonym SpongeBobThe disappearance of the Australian Britt Lapthorne and the Channel 7 documentary about the close encounters by other girls, have left consequences on Dubrovnik.
Stories started to circulate warning visitors of nightclubs to take care of men travelling in a blue van who introduce themselves as special police officers, and who kidnap people.
Young people knew that kidnapers drive around city with van
The story of suspicious guys in a blue van appeared in September 2008, on an internet forum only two weeks after the disappearance of Britt Lapthorne.
A girl under the pseudonym “Spongebob” tells the story of her sister who, around September 12, in Gruz, experienced an attempted kidnapping by men in a blue van who introduced themselves as special police officers.
“Two girls and two guys from Australia were in the park. One girl went to buy cigarettes at the kiosk, and all the others went to sit in their car. The van then probably stopped for her, showing her a badge and trying to throw her into the van. Her two friends saw that and ran towards them, and they ran away” writes “Spongebob”.
Disappearance of Britt Lapthorne
The Australian citizen Britt Lapthorne (21) disappeared on September 18, 2008 in Dubrovnik, in yet to be determined circumstances. The last time she was seen alive is in the night hours in front of the “Fuego” club, leaving in the company of two girls and five girls.Police knew about attempted kidnappings?
The girl states that her sister did not hear this on the street, but that a member of the special police told her, and warned her to take care and not go anywhere by herself.
However, her story tells that this was not an isolated incident, and that similar things occurred two or three days earlier near a post office in Dubrovnik.
Remember, the CCTV video footage shows the disputed blue van which Britt Lapthorne’s parents believe is involved in the disappearance of their daughter.
In the Channel 7 documentary, three girls described attempted kidnappings in front of the “Fuego” club, by men who introduced themselves as police officers, because of which they concluded that an organized group of kidnappers act in the club.

God forbid. Anyway, that special police officer that told my sister this said that you should not play with that, and that we girls should take care of ourselves and not go anywhere alone.

Valentine’s Day is Every Day for Those In Love Valentine’s Day is around the corner, even though many believe that it is only a marketing trick, some still believe in romance and love.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195076785949029.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA - The day once dedicated to love and dedication, has today become only a marketing trick that numerous retailers cash in on. At least this is what most of Zagreb’s residents think when we asked them if they were preparing any surprises for their better halves, and what Valentine’s Day means for them.
Why we celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14
One of the theories of marking Valentine’s Day is the memory of the priest Valentine, who secretly married soldiers even though he should not have. In a time when Christianity was a young religion, the emperor Claudius prohibited soldiers from entering marriage. However, Valentine ignored this and held marriage ceremonies. Even though love knows no boundaries, the emperor’s hand reached Valentine, who threw him in a dungeon and beheaded him on February 14. Not long after his death, the people declared Valentine to be a saint.Zagreb’s residents go on romantic weekends for Valentine’s Day
Most of Zagreb's citizens we asked do not know exactly how the story of Valentine goes. Even though many think that some king or bishop was in question, few know the story of emperor Claudius who prohibited soldiers from getting married. However, regardless of that, Valentine held marriage ceremonies. Unfortunately, the priest was unable to escape the emperor’s hand, who threw him into a dungeon and beheaded him on February 14. Since then February 14 has been marked as the day for love.
In accordance with that, every year the tourist agencies prepare special packages for a romantic weekend outside the city. However, this year people are more restrained in going on a trip.
“This year we do not have any special packages, but people nonetheless express their wishes” said a source from the Bantours tourist agency, adding that the number of requests has not increased with Valentine’s Day.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r2/g2009/m02/y210195068426930465_3.jpg
On the other hand, the tourist agency Integral says that a large number of Valentine’s Day offers have been sold.
“There are more requests than accommodation. We have nothing on offer in Zagreb and its surroundings, but people are very interested in weekends in Opatija, which are nearly sold out” they say at the agency.
Also, agencies are recording increasing interest with the pass of the January and cold days, so they expect more people to contact them with queries.
Whoever you decide to spend Valentine’s Day with, with gifts or without, it is most important that you are with someone you love, because regardless of what others day, Valentine’s Day a day about love, and not marketing.

Minister, Protect Dubrovnik’s Police Officers! The Interior Ministry’s Union asks of the minister to protect the two Dubrovnik police officers and enable them to live normal lives.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Croatian Interior Ministry’s Independent Union has asked of Interior Minister Tomislav Karamarko to do everything to enable a normal life and work of the two Dubrovnik police officers who have been subjected to harassment from Croatian and foreign reporters after their composite pictures were shown in the documentary about Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne.
- We need not even mention how much damage the airing of the composite photos has caused the two police officers who became possible kidnappers and murderers overnight – the union said in its statement.
Australia’s Channel 7 aired a documentary reconstructing the case of Britt Lapthorne in which they showed the composite photos of two men who allegedly kidnap young women in Dubrovnik.
Croatia’s police chief Krunoslav Borovec said the next day that the composites were of two Dubrovnik police officers who approached one of the three participants of the documentary in an official capacity and submitted a report about that. The union claims that their colleagues are subjected to harassment by Croatian and foreign reporters who keep telephoning them, coming to their homes, disturbing their families and neighbours, demanding statements and photographing and taking videos of their homes.
The facts from the documentary can be easily checked
- We express our support to the Dubrovnik police officers and remind everyone that numerous facts from the documentary can easily be checked – the union said in its statement.
The union is, therefore, asking of Minister Karamarko to do everything to make it possible for the two officers to live normal lives and work normally.
Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne, 21, was last seen in the night on October 18 exiting a Dubrovnik night club in the company of two men and five young girls. Her body was found on October 6 in the sea in Dubrovnik.
A post-mortem on the young woman showed no signs of violence. The Croatian police say that the Britt Lapthorne case is still open.

Iceland Also Ratifies Croatia’s NATO Accession After Iceland’s parliament ratified Croatia’s entry into NATO, now only Greece, The Netherlands and Portugal have to ratify it.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that Iceland’s parliament ratified Croatia’s NATO accession protocol.
Hailing this decision, the ministry said Iceland has become the 23rd out of 36 NATO members which ratified the protocol on expansion of NATO to Croatia.
Croatia expects the remaining countries – Greece, The Netherlands and Portugal – to also ratify the accession protocol so that Croatia could take part at April’s NATO Summit in Strasbourg and Kehl as a permanent member of NATO, the ministry said in a statement.

Slovenia Gives up on Veto on Croatia’s Protocol The final ratification of Croatia’s protocol in now only threatened by a possible referendum if 2,500 signatures are collected
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Slovenian State Council, a sort of upper house of the Slovenian parliament with only advisory functions, has given up on setting a veto on Croatia’s accession protocol for NATO.
The committee on international relations and European issues of Slovenia’s State Council adopted with a large majority the conclusion that the reason for Croatia’s entry into NATO was more important than reasons against its entry, the Council’s chairman, Blaz Kavcic, said.
In line with its powers, the State Council could have set a suspension veto on Croatia’s entry into NATO or ask that a referendum be carried out about it.
After viewing over documents Croatia submitted to NATO, members of the Council became convinced that “there is no justifiable claim that Croatia has prejudged the border to its advantage”, Kavcic told Ljubljana’s daily “Dnevnik”.
The final ratification of Croatia’s accession protocol is now under threat only by an announcement by Slovenia’s People’s party and nationalists that they would collect enough signatures by Monday to submit a request for a referendum to block the parliament’s decision on the ratification of Croatia’s accession protocol. By Monday they should collect 2,500 signatures to block the parliamentary decision on the ratification and then, within 35 days, another 40,000 signatures for the referendum to take place.

PM: Dispute with Slovenia Will Have to Go to Court Sanader and Faymann spoke about bilateral relations, ways both countries are fighting the economic crisis and Croatia’s accession in the EU.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195352323238634.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader relayed to Austria’s Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann Croatia’s stance that it is best to solve the border dispute between Croatia and Slovenia before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.
- Croatia insists on the principle that bilateral issues cannot and should not be introduced in European negotiations – Sanader told reporters in Vienna after a meeting with the Chancellor.
Sanader and Faymann spoke about bilateral relations, ways both countries are fighting the economic crisis and Croatia’s accession in the EU.
Gratitude for support
Austria has always supported Croatia in its path towards the EU, Faymann said.
Sanader thanked his host for Austria’s support to Croatia, stressing the ties between Croatia and Austria “in the past, the present and the future”.
The Croatian prime minister informed the chancellor about the state of Croatia’s negotiations with the EU and everything Croatia is doing in the context of Slovenia’s blockade of the negotiations.
There is no fairer approach than arguments
Asked about the current phase of the dispute between Croatia and Slovenia, Sanader said consultations were underway between Brussels, Ljubljana and Zagreb and stressed that law is a good basis for solving border issues, since he believes political negotiations are not a good way of solving problems.
Faymann stressed that Austria was supporting Croatia as much as it can, but he recalled that the said issues were easier to be solved away from public eyes.
- There is no fairer approach than arguments – Sanader said, adamant that the dispute between Croatia and Slovenia should be solved before the ICJ in The Hague.
All meetings are planned in advance
- Croatia is prepared in advance, as should the Slovenian National Assembly should be, that our parliament makes a decision in advance to accept the verdict of the ICJ – Sanader said.

Seks Dismisses HHO Accusations about Perjury This is a filthy attack on the freedom on the judiciary and an attempt to take justice into their own hands, Seks said.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195353629020932.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian parliament’s deputy speaker Vladimir Seks today dismissed accusations made by the Croatian Helsikni Committee (HHO) that he committed perjury in the trial against Branimir Glavas for war crimes in Osijek in 1991.
He stressed this was “an attempt of a group of people to take justice in their hands”. Seks told reporters in parliament that the court would rule on the truth, not the HHO.
- This is a filthy attack on the freedom on the judiciary and law-based state, an unbelievable attempt to take justice into their own hands and make assessments, judgements and verdicts on their own – Seks said.
‘He brought shame on Croatia’
Because of his testimony in the trial against Branimir Glavas for war crimes in Osijek in 1991, Vladimir Seks, who testified that traitors about whom he knew nothing about committed the crimes, should no longer perform the function of deputy parliament speaker or any other functions in authority, the Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) said at a news conference on Friday.
According to the HHO’s Mladen Godek, with his false testimony and his attitude towards justice, Seks brought shame on himself and Croatia as a whole.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – Lovebirds proved on St. Valentine`s Day that they don`t really need fluffy hearts to show that they love each other. Many Zagreb citizens decided to take a walk, go sightseeing as the shop windows were decorated and exchanged tenderness with their partner.
However, it was hard to avoid all the alluring small tokens of affections, from red roses, jewellery, heart-shaped pillows to stuffed toys. Therefore, the “weaker” ones bought their partners a present. Take a look in the attached photo gallery to see if there were any original ideas: Love In The Streets Of Zagreb.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Croatian Defence Ministry is lending certain military equipment for a fee to production companies. Any film projects connected to the 1990’s Homeland War requires no fees, the defence ministry said.
The most wanted pieces of equipment sought are the medical tent, soldiers being extras, a tourist and inter-city bus, military vehicle BOV-3, BOV-1, military vehicle OTM-60 and the T-55 tank, the 24 sata daily reported.
Although he planned the Defence ministry’s logistic support for his film “Konvoj Libertas”, renowned director Veljko Bulajic, says he prolonged the project for next year due to the crisis in the country.
- In these times of economic crisis it is difficult to make films, so we will consider making “Libertas” next year – Bulajic explained.
Directors and Ministry have excellent cooperation
All directors stress they have had excellent cooperation with the Croatian Defence Ministry. The military helped them in every project and gave them the equipment necessary for filming.

Apart from the military, the police also lend out their equipment and manpower. The fees are similar and also depend on the type and needs of the film.

Fourth Suspect For Cozma’s Murder Arrested In a conversation with suspects, the police gained new information on the attack, so another suspect was arrested.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195672911064804.jpg
The Hungarian police have arrested a fourth person for the murder-by-stabbing of the Romanian handball player Marian Cozma, and the serous injuries to two of his fellow players from the team Veszprem in the city with the same name, reports the MTI agency.
Police spokesperson Agnes Beleznay said that after Gabor P was questioned he was kept in custody under suspicion that he participated in the murder.
The Romanian Marian Cozma, who played for the Hungarian handball club Veszprem, was killed on February 8 in a hooligan attack in front of a night club, in the city of Veszprem. In the attack the Croatian handball representative Ivan Pesic (23) was injured so seriously that doctors were forced to remove his kidney, and the Serbian handball player Zarko Sesum (22) was also injured.
The police were initially searching for two suspects, but then announced an APB for a third.
During the same night the Austrian police arrested two men suspected for the attack, and the Hungarian police later confirmed that Sandor Raffael and Gyoz N. were in question, and that Ivica Sztojka is still in hiding.
However Sztojka has been in custody since Thursday, when he handed himself in to the police, and it was considered that they arrested all of the attackers. But obviously the police came across new information about the tragic attack in a conversation with him, so a fourth suspect was arrested and placed in custody.

Slovenian Parliament Against Referendum on Croatia Slovenia’s Foreign Minister stressed that the ratification of the agreement which allows Croatia entry into NATO was adopted in parliament.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195779966782463.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Slovene parliament’s Upper House’s Foreign Affairs Committee, comprised of 13 MPs, voted against a suggestion by Zmago Jelincic’s Slovenian National Party with ten votes against three, Slovenia’s 24ur reported.
The parliament decides on the text about the protection of Slovenia’s interests and if it is adopted, Marjan Podobnik, president of the Zavod 25 junij party, will not, as he announced, submit the signatures of citizens who signed a petition for a referendum on Croatia’s accession into NATO. After that, the process for carrying out a referendum is started by law.
Agreement Already Ratified
Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar stressed that the ratification of the agreement which allows Croatia entry into NATO was adopted in parliament with a large majority of votes, which clearly showed their political opinion about the ratification.
MP Darja Lavtizar-Bebler told the Delo daily she was unclear why the above mentioned text was at all necessary, but that she would vote for it to avoid a referendum.
As they proposed the referendum, Jelincic and Podobnik justified it by Croatia’s prejudging borders in the documents it submitted to NATO. Jelincic wants Croatia’s joining blocked until the border issue is resolved.
The contentious borders are those defined on June 25, 1991, which is the left bank of the Dragonja river, the left bank of the Mura river, and, of course, the Piran Bay, as well as the sea which would allow Slovenia exit out into the open sea.
At the extraordinary session, Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar stressed that the ratification of the agreement which allows Croatia entry into NATO was adopted in parliament with a large majority of votes, which clearly showed their political opinion about the ratification.
Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Ivo Vajgl supported the foreign minister saying that approving the referendum would be counterproductive with regards to the relations between the two countries.

How an Englishman Made it in Zagreb During the 9 years Joe has been in Croatia he has done more things than most people do in their entire life.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y195687165419839.jpg
In 1999, Joe Whitfield left the U.K. with his Croatian wife and daughter to set up home in Croatia.
With some help from his new family Joe had managed to find a full time job as a chef at the Sheraton within 48 hours of arriving! However, a terrible salary and 12 to 14 hour days put strain on his marriage and he moved on to the Inlingua Language School.
Pitted against qualified teachers, having little support, he managed to pick up the unusual teaching methods with ease and began teaching.
Bad Decisions and Divorce
Having been self reliant for so long, the cultural and family differences came as a massive shock, in his own words, “every family is the same; dictating what you can and can’t do”.
Taking the job was a turning point in Joe’s marriage but shortly after he divorced his wife. However Joe insists that he and his ex-wife are now very best friends.
While at the language school Joe managed to build a huge network of friends from across the entire spectrum of the business community in Croatia which has been invaluable in helping side projects.
Meeting with a New Zealander, who at the time was trying to import alcopops to Croatia, was one of Joseph’s biggest mistakes, not on his part however but Joe’s latest employer hadn’t done his homework on Croatian import laws, as a result lost his investment and was unable to pay Joe for seven months' worth of organising parties, marketing and promotion.
As well as teaching, Joe managed to get into real estate, in fact he founded the company, the partnership he had forged with another Brit turned sour and Joe moved on.
Losing a great deal of income and being the showpiece at parties, for being British, Joe was lonely and needed something to spur him on.
- Once the novelty of being the English man at the party wore off, the locals would drift back into Croatian, and I felt lonely. – He says.
Expat Beginnings
One day while Joe was sitting alone in an internet café he met a “loud American guy” who he became firm friends with and after getting to know each other came across the idea to start an ex-pats night at Iguana, a bar on Tkalciceva, one of Zagreb’s most well known streets.
The bar, run by an Australian-Croat couple, was already a meeting place for many expats. Joe organised a proper expats night on a Thursday evening. Joe was now the key figure in the expat community, again building a huge network of contacts.
The expat community was great for Joe. However, it didn’t pay the rent, so after the collapse of his relationship with the real estate firm’s boss he set up his own real estate and legal advice companies under JWR, faced with even more bad luck: when the JWR websites and database went offline and the designer disappeared, Joe moved on to writing a magazine.
Not just writing but advertising, editing, proofreading and producing were in Joe’s remit, after setting up his team he was let down by the publishers and the magazine folded after just 3 issues.
While all of these main projects in his life were going on Joe still found time to organise fund raisers, set up independent business deals which were quashed by the local authorities, a t-shirt design and sales website and even found time to write for Transparency International.
During the 9 years Joe has been in Croatia he has done more things than most people do in their entire life, he has met Terrence Howard, his music idols Sonic Youth, appeared on stage with Iggy Pop and even had a walk on part in a movie with Richard Gere.
Joe left Croatia for around a year and a half when the country had taken its toll on him and he had had enough. This period was filled with managing Microsoft training programs and a team of 8 as well as a stint in recruitment.
New Beginnings
In February, just a few days ago in fact, Joe, now 34, was offered a job which was to start later that week. But missing his daughter Amy too much, he decided against it and instead jumped on a plane back to Croatia. When he arrived he called his daughter, pretending to be in the U.K., just to ask how she was. His next move was to knock on the front door of the apartment and be smothered with kisses.
Thus began a new chapter in Joe’s life.
Thanks to Joe's adaptability he is close to fluent in Croatian so managing the Hop Devil Bar in Zagreb’s Branimir Centar is no problem, Joe has big plans for the future and he is getting back to what he loves, networking. In addition the bar will host expats nights and live music, things that have been missing from the beautifully gothic bar of 103 beers.
He describes himself as "a brain that doesn’t stop ticking" and with this in mind and his return to Croatia, he has high hopes for the future.
If you are new to Croatia and need some help or just want to meet up with expats head over to Hop Devil on a Thursday night and see for yourself.

Bullet Left At Inspector`s Door Supposedly, the air traffic inspector received threats over investigating the crash of the Mi-8 helicopter in Vukovar.

A bullet was left at the door of air traffic inspector Dinko Vodanovic, the Croatian Radio Television reports. According to unofficial information, the bullet was a “warning” over investigating the crash of the Mi-8 helicopter in Vukovar.
Because of the danger he is in, i.e. the bullet left at his doorstep, Vodanovic is currently at a meeting at the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.
Four employees of the Velika Gorica Air-Technical Institute were reported because of the helicopter crash. They are suspected of being responsible for some alterations on the helicopter, which caused it to crash in 2007 in Vukovar, killing three persons.
Anonymous sources tipped off the Croatian State Attorney`s Office and the Defence Ministry that the reported persons were two army officials and two civilians.

Student: I Was Beaten By Police From Photo-Robot H.S, a student from Dubrovnik, claims he was beaten by Dragan Palmeta and Ivica Rudinovic after an argument with a taxi driver.

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA - The 22 year old student from Dubrovnik H.S. claims that he was attacked by the police officers Dragan Palmeta and Ivica Rudinovic from the photo-robot in the Britt Lapthorne case, as well as Matko Klaric, writes the Croatian newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.
In November 2008, N.S. filed reports with the County State Attorney’s Office against the police officers Dragan Palmeta, Ivica Rudinovic, Matko Klaric for “non-conscious work in the service”.
Student winks to police officer, so they beat him
H.S. went to the disco club “Factory” with his friend M.B. When they were heading home, the 22 year old accidently caught a rear view mirror of a taxi with his hand, but did not damage it. The taxi driver got out of the car and slapped him, and then a conflict with pushing broke out. Soon the police officers arrived and then the incident occurred.
“The angry taxi driver slapped me, after which there was pushing, and the quick arrival of the police officers. After I jokingly winked at one of them, they punched me in the head five-six times whilst I was sitting on the pavement” said H.S. He said that his only complaint to the police officers was by saying that it would be better for them to catch real criminals.
Criminal report against police officers dismissed
After the police officers hit him, they took him to the hospital, where they determined that he had a concussion and scratches, as well as a contusion of the face and ears, then took him to the police station for processing. After 9am he was taken before the judge for offences Dubravka Djivanovic, who after giving his testimony, was released to freedom.
The Dubrovnik student was later questioned by the internal control of the Dubrovnik police department. The County State Attorney’s Office rejected the report that was filed by H.S. against the three police officers who beat him, and for them the case is closed, reports Slobodna Dalmacija.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – The time of the masked carnival called “Fashnik” is still ongoing, so the residents of Zagreb had fun watching various masks parading down Cvjetni Square in Croatia’s capital on Saturday morning.
The loud parade passed from Cvjetni Square, to Kvaternikov Square and Vlaska Street. People, intrigued by the fun masks, decided to follow in order to see what they are preparing this time.
Most looks got “Pim-Pek” bananas which, in a funny way, demonstrated what it’s like when you’re bananas, then there were monkey in g-strings and a bare-bottomed monkey on a bicycle. President Mesic and Obama, as well as the Ukrainian Prime Minister were also present at the Fashnik.
There were also girls in traditional folk costumes riding rag horses.

RIJEKA, CROATIA – The traditional 26 th International Carnival procession took part in the centre o Rijeka on Sunday with over 8,000 participants in 97 masked groups, along with 74 chariots.
Guest groups from all Croatian regions passed through Rijeka: Dalmatia, Istria, Gorski kotar, as well as guests from abroad, for instance Italy, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia. According to estimates, nearly 100,000 people attended the great international carnival in Rijeka.
The Carnival procession is the pinnacle of the carnival period, not only in this area, but is also the biggest and most famous carnival in Croatia.
Costume themes at the Rijeka procession ranged from fantasy, like cartoon characters, popular culture to entirely original masks crafted by imaginative carnival goers, with months of effort put into them. There were satirical comments on current events, like recession or the especially relationship between Croatia and Slovenia at the moment. Mandatory bell-ringers were there, while 250 Halubaj bell-ringers closed the procession.
Carnival city
The Rijeka Carnival has been a full member of the Association of European Carnival Cities, and was included among the most significant in Europe.
As the procession ended, the Pust was set on fire at Rijeka Harbour, a puppet symbolising all the sins and negative events of the past year.
According to police information, there were no incidents throughout the day.

Ivana Hodak Murderer`s DNA Found In Bullet Shell? Even if the police had gone through their data base, they would not have found Slogar, because his DNA was not registered
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y196219038739875.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – DNA of Mladen Slogar, suspected of the murder of law intern Ivana Hodak was found on a bullet shell left in the staircase of the building where she was killed last October. It is this shell that was submitted to the court as yet another piece of evidence, the Vecernji list daily writes.
Sweat in micsotraces
The trace left is sweat, experts determined, in microtraces left by Slogar`s fingers when he held the shell.
Still, the police would not comment on the findings, but they just say that a sufficient amount of evidence was gathered to reveal the motive of the murder, the perpetrator and the way it was carried out, according to the Vecernji list paper. The DNA profile which was left in the shell matches that of Slogar over 60 percent, the paper concludes.
The trace left is sweat, experts determined, in microtraces left by Slogar`s fingers when he held the shell.
The Croatian Interior Ministry database has some 20,000 DNA samples which are compared with crime scene evidence. Still, Mladen Slogar is not in that base, therefore the police would not have found him before, even is a more powerful piece of DNA evidence was found, the Vecernji list claims.

Whole Of Croatia Is Against Me, President Too The jewels theory was not fabricated by Petrac, but someone sneakier, perhaps attorney Ante Nobilo, Zagorec said.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y196268277990994.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – As he stated his defence at the trial for the “jewels scandal” retired Croatian general Vladimir Zagorec reiterated that he did not abuse his power and could not manage the budget in any way. Also, he added, the state top decided on the purchase of arms, to be precise, the close government cabinet with late Croatian president Franjo Tudjman, as the chief commander.
- I could not even buy food, let alone weapons. I could have ordered everything, but the Croatian Finance Ministry paid for everything that went to the Croatian Defence Ministry (MORH), according to orders of Gojko Susak – Zagorec said, adding that his former secretary of the Defence Ministry Snjezana Siprak lied when she said she only had to call the PBZ and get funds.
“Nothing found in Sime Krasic`s revision”
As evidence that he had no authority over money, Zagorec mentioned the transcripts from the Brijuni islands concerning the Croatian military and police liberational “Storm” operation. According to him, president Tudjman asked him how much weapons he had and in what time, to which Zagorec replied that he had no weapons and that he needed to pay for it. The armament was purchased from abroad via a mediator. Tudjman ordered Valentic to pay. Furthermore, the retired general added, as he was leaving his duty at the defence ministry, state reviser Sima Krasic conducted the revision and found nothing.
I knew nobody would believe me that Zagorec`s jewels were in these boxes if I published only photos, so I managed to persuade my source into handing them over to me. I also persuaded that person to tell me where they got it from, but they said if they revealed that piece of information, they would lose their head, as Zagorec would soon find out who gave the boxes to that person.
Ivo Pukanic
- I`m just a little mouse and the entire country is against me, headed by [Croatian President Stjepan] Mesic – Zagorec said.
He denied all witnesses, especially former secretary Siprak.
- Do you honestly think that a secretary has so many authorisations next to the army – Zagorec said, adding that this was all a construction of someone who wants to make him look like Ali Baba and the forty thieves.
- Neither Snjezana Siprak nor Hrvoje Petrac thought of this jewels theory, but someone sneakier. Perhaps attorney Ante Nobilo, I don`t know. But, please, why didn`t Siprak say I took a bag full of money… Furthermore, who would give us jewels when we owed everyone money – Zagorec said.
Zagorec is charged with stealing a bag containing jewels from a safe in his office while he was leaving duty in 2000 as assistant to defence minister. The bag with jewels was left by German arms trader as a deposit for the money intended for the armament of Croatia. The trial began at the end of 2008, when the retired general was extradited to Croatia from Austria.
After the hearing on Monday, Zagorec`s attorney Zvonimir Hodak told reporters that his client was faced with another case of blackmail. According to him, he received a phone call from a man who claimed he had photos, i.e. evidence that Zagorec did not take the jewels, to be precise, that he has never seen them. The unidentified man wanted 3 million euros for this evidence, while Hodak notified the police about everything.

Britt Lapthorne Case Is Still Ongoing Ronald K. Noble said the Interpol was looking for two other people to discuss the death of the 23-year-old Australian.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Interpol’s Secretary-General Ronald K. Noble said on Tuesday that the international police are continuing to cooperate with the Croatian police in shedding light on the death of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne.
The Interpol can help in this case because we have been receiving information and leads about possible new witnesses. This morning we informed out Croatian colleagues about our talk with one person who did not have any information, Noble said after a meeting with Croatian Interior Ministry and Police Directorate chiefs. He added that the Interpol were searching for two more people to talk to about the death of the 23-year-old Australian who was found dead in the sea in Dubrovnik last October.
The Secretary–General of Interpol, the largest police organisation that gathers police forces from 187 countries, said police director Vladimir Faber had asked him to additionally spur other Interpol members to step up any activities regarding the case.
‘The Australian documentary is fiction’
- I see fiction non-stop – Noble briefly commented Australia’s Channel 7 documentary that published composite images of two alleged kidnappers of young girls in Dubrovnik, about whom the Dubrovnik police are claiming are Dubrovnik’s police officers who have nothing to do with the Britt Lapthorne case.

Milk War Between Bosnia and Croatia The media in Bosnia are reporting the halt of all milk deliveries from Bosnia to Croatia. The Croatian ministry denies this.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y196383564905443.jpg
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Radivoje Bratic, confirmed at a press conference that counter measures have been taken against a Croatian decision to control the quality of milk imported from Bosnia Herzegovina.
The president of the alliance of agricultural manufacturers of RS, Vladimir Usorac, warned that the measures taken by Croatia threaten the existence of more than 8,000 milk manufacturers in the Dubica and Bihac regions, reports pincominfo.
The problem occurred a few days ago when the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Rural Development brought a decision that voided a declaration that certain Bosnian products can freely be imported into Croatia, and that there are no veterinary/health problems.
Deliveries are being stopped and samples are sent to the laboratory for testing, whilst the remaining delivery is out of circulation until the analysis is complete.
Croatian ministry reaction: milk imports from Bosnia have not been stopped
Today the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Rural Development announced that the import of milk from Bosnia Herzegovina has not been stopped, and that there are no non-customs barriers for trade with Bosnia Herzegovina.
The Croatian ministry claims that they only had one quality control problem with the company “Mlijekoprodukt” and that standard procedure was in question. They said that the manufacturer has been contacted to change the noticed problems, and that the disputed shipment was not released to the market.
However “Mlijekoprodukt” complained to the Bosnian authorities, claiming that they were discriminated against.
The Minister of Agriculture for RS, Radivoje Bratic, said today that the only possible answer to the Croatian ministry was limiting the import of milk products from Croatia.
The Bosnian veterinary office ordered additional tests of Croatian products entering Bosnia Herzegovina. “Considering the unjustified halt of milk imports from Bosnia Herzegovina to Croatia, we implemented the same measures” said the head of the office Drago Nedic, saying that an import ban was not in question, but additional testing.

Large Numbers of Fish Die in Adriatic Fishermen have noticed a large number of pilchards dead, most probably due to the low sea temperatures
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y196473481745830.jpg
PULA, CROATIA – Fishermen on Thursday raised an alarm when they saw a large number of dead pilchards the northerly wind is carrying towards the coast, Barkun.hr reported.
They are mostly large pilchards and the extent of their dying and causes yet need to be established.
- The sea is filled with dead pilchards and the wind is carrying them towards the Savudrija Peninsula and Alberi – a fisherman, who notified the police and scientists, said.
According to suppositions by Alen Soldo from the Split University’s Sea Study Centre, the mass dying of fish was probably caused by low sea temperatures because these fish are extremely sensitive to low temperatures.
- Pilchards die off when the sea temperatures drop below ten degrees Celsius. This is not an unusual occurrence, although I cannot claim anything officially without carrying out analyses. I would venture to say that the dying of the pilchards has nothing to do with the humpback whale that was photographed in the Savudrija Bay recently – Soldo said, laughing.

BRADTKE STRATEGY USA Doing Everything to See Croatia Enter NATO U.S. Ambassador to Croatia, Robert Bradtke, presented America’s new strategy focusing on Croatia and the region.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y196468849926801.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The USA is doing and will be doing everything in its power to see Croatia become a full member of NATO at the NATO summit in early April, the U.S. Ambassador to Croatia, Robert Bradtke, said.
At a business lunch at the American Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb, Bradtke gave a speech before some 150 people from Croatia’s political and business scenes about the subject “The Obama Administration – USA’s New Strategy” with a focus on Croatia and the region.
- The United States is doing and will do everything it can to ensure that all NATO members complete the process of ratification of the accession protocols so that Croatia can be a full member of NATO when the leaders of the Alliance meet at the 60th anniversary summit on April 3 – he said.
Washington wants cooperation in solving issues in the region, but also global issues
- All of us, in NATO and the EU, need to recognise that if bilateral disagreements are allowed to block the path of the countries of South-eastern Europe towards Euro-Atlantic institutions, we risk seriously weakening the forces of reform and reconciliation in this region – the ambassador stressed.
The strong American-Croatian relations will also be boosted by the important experience and personal commitment towards this region which Vice-President Joe Biden and State Secretary Hillary Clinton have brought to Obama’s Administration, he continued.
Washington wants to cooperate with Zagreb also in solving open issues in the region, but also global problems, Bradtke said.
Obama will not visit Croatia yet
The USA also wants to fortify economic ties with Croatia and it is working intensively on putting Croatia on the list of countries that do not need visas to visit the United States. In order to achieve this, Croatia must introduce biometric passports, he said.
In his speech, Ambassador Bradtke accentuated the priorities of the Obama Administration, primarily the economic recovery of America. Regarding foreign policy, the new American president cited four goals: Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East and climatic changes.
Answering reporters’ questions after his speech, Bradtke said that the ratification protocols for the entry of Croatia and Albania into NATO must be submitted before the beginning of the upcoming NATO summit. He also said that he did not believe President Barack Obama would visit Croatia after the summit, as had been announced by Croatian media.

Croatia PM Searches for Money in Europe and World Not only are we not giving up, but we will expand infrastructure projects in a way of offering them in concession, PM Sanader said.
http://www.javno.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2009/m02/y196559369338054.jpg
ZAGREB, CROATIA – By the middle of next week, budgetary users must submit to a working group for budgetary amendments their suggestions on where and how they can save on expenses, Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said after Friday’s meeting with all ministers, state secretaries and administration managers, that is, users of the government budget.
Budgetary users were not told how much they have to save, but their suggestions will be
Once budgetary users suggest ways of saving, the budgetary amendment working group will discuss with social partners about other segments of amendments.subsequently verified and if they are not in line with expectations, “they will have to re-take the test”, the prime minister said.
- The first thing to be done in amending the budget is to see how much budgetary users can save, because in times of the global and European crisis and the crisis in Croatia, the government and other budgetary users cannot behave as if they are expecting others to do something about it – he added.
Government trying to secure funds for the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Sanader also said that he has been contacting various financial sources in Europe and the world for several days now, along with Finance Minister Ivan Suker, in order to secure funds for the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
- We must complete this job which we discussed today in order for us to be in a situation that the country can get international loans and to free economical potentials for Croatian banks – Sanader said.
Minister Suker announced that he would next week meet with economic analysts about their projections on the GDP in 2009, on the basis of which the earning part of the budget will be drawn up.
Infrastructure projects will expand
Prime Minister Sanader reiterated that the government will not give up on infrastructure projects because they can help the economic crisis to be overcome.
- Not only are we not giving up, but we will expand infrastructure projects in a way of offering them in concession or public-private partnership to finance them and that is that one pillar that can keep a big part of the industry standing – Sanader said.
