View Full Version : Body Type?

1. Ectomorph : Tall, slim. Generally very easy to get definition in muscles, harder to gain mass. (Brad Pitt, Ed Norton)
2. Mesomorph: Medium height, broad shoulders (V shaped body). Gains mass easily, definition is slightly harder to achieve. (Arnold Schwartzenegger, Stallone)
3. Endomorph: Rounder shape, gains body fat and muscle mass easily. (Robin Williams)
One good way to measure it to a degree is to wrap your index and your thumb around your wrist. If you overlap, you're primarily an ectomorph. If touches about right, you're probably a mesomorph. If it doesn't quite reach all the way, you might be an endomorph.
It's not clear cut. There are very few "pure" morphs. Most people tend to lean one direction with some influence from another body type. For example, I'm an ectomorph, with mesomorph leanings. For simplicity's sake, just chose the one that most fits you.

At 500 pounds, l believe I have you beat :p Koolaid and twinkies are not quite high enough in calories and fat to support me. I prefer double-layer chocolate cake and pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Gee, Anima, those women don't seem to be taking your scholarly research seriously.
Is head shape next on you lil mini-lecture series? The dolicho-, meso-, and brachy- prefixes should really wow VNNF with your post-sophomoric academic status.

How do you know Pixi and I are not taking this thread seriously? Maybe we just wanted to talk about our true weight and eating habits. :D Maybe we truly are very large woman. Of course, Pixi at 400 pounds probably needs to eat a little more to catch up to me.

The bile that pours from your mouth is neverending, though it is ever-tiring. Find a hobby, mate.

Do you use the pizzas as the outer layers for your sandwich or do you sandwich in your pizza between the chocolate cakes?

I just mix it all together in one big army kettle along with a few cans of beer sprinkled on top and eat it with a spoon. :D

Of course, Pixi at 400 pounds probably needs to eat a little more to catch up to me.I just ordered three extra large deep dish pizzas with the works (minus the anchovies). I'm gonna eat those, a couple whole cheesecakes, and wash it down with a keg of beer. I'll see your 500, and pass you! You just wait! :p

Ecto/Endo? That means Anima is both skinny and fat at the same time. You know, one of those scrawny, undermuscled guys who still has a beer belly. The kind of guy that your average street nigger would run over like a freight train. More and more young White men look like that these days, I guess it's only fair that eurasians get in on it.
What? Did you even read my post? I said...
For example, I'm an ectomorph, with mesomorph leanings
I work out twice a week. If there's one thing I'm not, it's out of shape. :D

Sounds more like something you'd be pouring into a trough and then substituting the spoon with a shovel for scraping the trough.
Where are the mods when you need them? This thread has gone way off topic and no one referees here

1. Ectomorph
2. Mesomorph
3. Endomorph:

I can touch my middle finger with my thumb, have overproportionately longer legs ( 2of them, anyway ) compared to my torso length ( was the best at kick-ball in grade school and junior high and kicked reliable goals for my football team in high-school ). I sit somewhat lower in a car and would be at least 2 meters tall, if I was proportioned as others

I have huge wrists. Big bones. Tall, and ever so slightly over weight. My wife would call that last characterization charitable. LOL Gain mass easily but not definition, very much so.
Why would anima want to know, I think is a more interesting question...?

I couldn't reach around my wrists to save my life, but then again, my hands are kind of petite.

Yes, I just knew there had to be some advantages to my handicap.

In your case it's an advantage. In my case, it's a handicap :(

I'm naturally broad and stocky, although i'm fairly short (5ft 8) before i hit the weights i was in decent shape. All the males on my father's side are powerfully built with huge shoulders and thick necks.

I put down endomorph. I'm on the stocky side, but not fat, pretty solid. I've been told I have a good frame for weightlifting and strong man contests. :D
