I've been on this board for a few days. I have already received "senior member" status for making 100 posts.

Do you think this could have the potential to mislead newbies?

After all, I am just some "phony Billy Bob" According to white will, who I am presuming is another "senior member".

I, possibly, have sent more private messages to individual members, than openly posted messages, which are not tallied to your member status.

Most of my post's were not one word answers.

Theoretically, a person could achieve "senior member" status in a day. He could mislead newbies with his new status, automatically given to him.

You can access every post a member has posted through a members profile.

Reading every post a member has posted, will usually give you an impression of the personality of that individual, his character, his intentions, etc.

Also this post needs full time moderators to weed the "front Page" which is what every newbie sees first.

Face it newbies coming in don't know how to navigate this forum. All they see are the main articles, newly posted, at any given time. That first impression will either bring the person in or send him away.

Without full time moderators, trolls will come in, knowing how to control the "front page", with the soul intention to send potential converts away. They control the front page by posting shit, that covers up the pearls.

When shit has been thrown over our pearl bed, the moderator needs to first, get rid of the shitter, then clean up the shit. I know this is more than a one person job, but I'm sure we could muster plenty of volunteers. Let's do it now!!

Ok, Test complete. Yeah, pretty much, one guy can totally control the front page. Just keep posting crap 24-7. And the posts on the front page will always post the most recent first.

And you think our enemies can't afford to hire some pimple faced geeks, to do nothing but just that. Come on, they could pay for armies of pimply trolls to surf the net 24-7, doing nothing but distracting our people from the real problems, the real solutions, and from what we should be doing, instead of being baited, into inciting some ridiculous threat of violence or worse yet into attacking and backbiting each other.

I would encourage all members to actively investigate, interrogate, and question all members concerning their own "genuine" questioning of how they fit it.

I'm all for libertarian moderation, but to an extent. There MUST be boundaries, otherwise you have a freakshow. I've found the most effective way to handle trolls is to just ignore them. For instance, Rahomo came in here last night and posted a bunch of bullshit. Since he was on ignore his tactics were defeated. I would suggest everyone do this, and then go from there.

I think senior member status should be a much higher post count. How about 500 to 1000 posts?
