If one were to read the Old Testament without any preconditions or perceptions, just read it like you would any normal book you would quickly come to the conclusion that God is the most unpleasant character in all fiction. He is a jealous, petty, vindictive, genocidal, infanticidal, malevolent bully... and quite the control freak.

What really puzzles and disgusts me is hell. I mean it's not like getting sent to your room for the rest of the night, or a weeks punishment for failing a science class. It is getting tortured for an eternity in the worse place a person can imagine, talk about holding a grudge. This is cruel and sadistic. When we hear about humans torturing other humans, or even pets were aghast, but when the Semetic "God" does it he's a merciful cat.

Revilo Oliver was a scholar of great renown. But even he resorted to calling the bible "the jew book". Jesus, if he even existed, which is questionable, never wrote a single word. The jew book was cobbled together decades after he was supposedly crucified.

No one ever said God had to be fair, that's why he's God. He created us, he can set the rules. People who judge God only prove their finite wisdom, God's wisdom is infinite, who are we to question when our understanding is but a small glimpse of what is really going on. The Bible says Christians wrestle against forces of the spiritual world, the unseen, how can we judge based on what we know when the Bible says the real fight is something we can't even see?

First of all - the God of Bible is not the same (atleast in His attributes) as Allah of Holy Qur'an. God of Bible (Jewish one) is irrational because according to Talmud - He will resurrect the pious Jews and reward them in Heaven - while He will not resurrect criminal Jews (Stalin, Hitler, Sharon, Begin, Bibi, etc.) and let then go scott free.
