Default TAA causes stir in Annapolis.

"On Saturday, city police went to the 400 block of Fairhill Court after a report about white supremacist news pamphlets on front lawns at 10:35 p.m. A resident of Cherry Grove Avenue found a plastic bag containing racist cartoons and other papers in her yard at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said. Similar packages were found on Southwood Avenue, Homeland Avenue and Virginia Street. In these cases, city police take a copy of the literature and give it to the department's Office of Domestic Preparedness. That unit keeps this material, in case the literature drop is followed up by a crime.

"It's not a criminal act, unless they cross the line," said Officer Hal Dalton, police spokesman. "They're protected under the First Amendment and we can't interfere. It would be no different than stopping the Domino's Pizza man from delivering fliers."
