Many parts of Europe that border on Asia and the Mediterannean have populations of mixed races. This can be seen by looking at the genetics of the peoples inhabiting various parts of Europe.

European (White) DNA generally falls into three basic haplotypes:

R1b (Celtic)

R1a (Scythian)

I (Germanic)



The populations found in Mediterranean countries have a higher percentage of E3b DNA, which is associated with the invasions of the Moors (Berbers). Jews, Arabs and other Semitic populations found in the Levant and the Middle East have a higher percentage of J haplotype DNA:
