Марко Поло - Волчонок
The wolf-cub (Pup)
There was blizzard day after day.
There were only cold and darkness.
I was going to the house
But in the forest I heard a wolf-cub.
The frightened wolf-cub resisted me as it could
But it warmed up and subsided on my hands.
At first, it longed away from its native forest.
It was frightened by every unfamiliar sound and smell.
But care and love heal in the same way as time heals.
And now this formidable son of wolves is running towards me.
refrain:
Small but proud beast, grow soon!
Barking! Barking! Do not let strangers into the house.
However, if someone at the door asks for "Warm up me!"
Then give him your warm paw.
So we live day after day, building our lives stone by stone.
We eat and drink together and talk to the moon.
But we are not shaking the world with a hopeless howl
Because each of us is no longer a lonely warrior.
refrain:
Stranger, do not judge me
Because of my glance is the same as that of the beast.
Who are you? A friend or a foe?
Only time knows about it.
Alas, the fact (eternal as the Earth) is known
That more often the enemy is in the human skin
Than in the animal one.
refrain:
