Hello Good People,
I was doing archival research to determine the 1812 navigability of some bayous in Avoyelles & St. Landry parishes back in 1996. I was looking at newspapers from the town of Marksville printed in 1835. There was an article that detailed alleged sightings of a large bipedal apeman that stunk to the high heavens. This really surprised me. However at the time I had to move on and just made a brief note of this article.
I don't know. Could it be a feral negroid whose mother was impregnated by a gorilla then brought to North America? LOL. We may never know what the hell these things are.
