Angry Ex-model Jodie Marsh disgusts families of IRA victims by launching diet pills called 'Semtex'

Quote:
Bodybuilder Jodie Marsh has enraged families of IRA bomb victims after launching a slimming pill called Semtex.

The 34-year-old former model released her weight-loss product named after the infamous plastic explosive which has claimed the lives of countless victims in terrorist bombings worldwide.

Marsh even uses her Twitter account to encourage fellow weight loss-enthusiasts with the hashtag #semtexarmy as well as selling hoodies and onesies emblazoned with the controversial slogan online.

The deadly explosive became notorious in terrorist attacks by the IRA as well as in improvised explosive devices such as the one used to bring down Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988 killing 270 people.

More recently, the explosive was reportedly strapped to the necks of hostages held by al-Qaeda in Algeria last month.

One victim, who lost both her parents in an IRA Semtex car bombing, says she felt 'physically sick' when she saw the product on sale online.

The woman, who refused to be named over fears for her own safety, said: 'I fail to see why anyone would wish to have any connection to a product which kills and maims.

'When I saw the product on sale I was incandescent with rage and felt physically sick.'

Molly Carson MBE, spokesperson for Families Acting for Innocent Relatives which represents victims of the IRA, slammed the callous marketing ploy.

She said: 'We feel disgusted with the actions of Jodie Marsh, who obviously has not researched the substance Semtex which instigated the murder and killing of many of the young British soldiers serving in Northern Ireland.

'Eighteen soldiers were killed in one blast at Narrow Water Castle - would she like to explain to their families why she intends to pursue the launch of such a pill reminding those who lost loved ones and those who were severely injured of the capabilities of Semtex?

'Semtex literally has the ability to obliterate skin and body parts and proved to be a most cruel and deadly weapon used by the IRA.
