Robert DeNiro - There is an "urban Jewish legend" that Robert DeNiro has a Jewish mother. The story began 20 years ago when a Jewish columnist said so in a Jewish newspaper piece and book. The milieu he grew up in--from the NY art world--to his neighborhood--to the world of the NY theater where he started--is heavily Jewish. Given his incredible talent and personal background---he can give a "dead-on" performance as a Jewish character without any difficulty.
