Gear is designed to solve problems, as it is when solving one problem a new one created. As an example, a small knife solves some problems, but there are times a bigger knife is better choice for problem solving but in doing so that bigger knife cant solve problems that the smaller knife can. Same with heat treating.
I posted those recommendations for people who can afford something a little nicer.
People look at knives as the one-tool option, but unless you got the skill set to back up that philosophy, the conversation is misdirected.
I gotta ask, what are you doing with your knives in Canada and Sweden that is the cause of breaking blades. Breaking knife blades is kinda idiotism don't ya think.
