Default Media Blackout On Black Power Confab In Atlanta This Weekend.

Media completely censors major “International Black Power Conference” in Atlanta this weekend.

According to organizers, members of 15 different black organizations and an array of gangster rappers and record producers will be speaking at the conference. Some members of the big name 1980’s rap band Public Enemy are supposed to be speaking.

“Black Journalists on the Frontlines” — Ashahed Muhammad- (Final Call Newspaper, TEI Institute, world traveler) Hodari Abdul Ali -(WPFW Washington D.C./ world traveler) lead a panel of newspersons baptized in liberation journalism.

“Health is Wealth” — Dr Ali Muhammad-(ISIS), Khufu, other health experts and herbalists give facts and advice on how to keep our warriors and families healthy in a hostile environment.

“Self Defense and Black Power” — Members of the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense and other Black defense oriented groups have an intense interactive workshop that deals with variety of threats facing the Black Community including: The police, white supremacists, negative forces in the Black Nation, biological warfare and other threats will all be discussed. Exhibitions and demonstrations will highlight session.

“Black Men’s Only Meeting: The Million Man March and Beyond” — Brother Kofi Taharka- National Black United Front leader, Brother Kalonge Tate- National Action Network, Abdul Sharrief Muhammad- Atlanta NOI-former NOI Supreme Captain, Karriem Ali- Million Fathers March, Chief Kamara UNIA, Sankore African Study Circle. Reverend Kenneth Glasgow, The Ordinary Peoples Society (T.O.P.S.- Alabama), Minister Divine Allah- Trenton NJ Council Candidate/ NBPP and other Black Men will host a soulful and spirited workshop on the challenges and duties of the Black Man going into 2010.

“For Sisters only: Black Women, Society and the Liberation Movement” — Powerful Panel of Black Women including Njeree Alganee- NCOBRA, Sister Pam Africa, Darnide Cayo- Artists Village, the women from the Nation of Islam, New Black Panther Party and others team up for a serious Women’s Only forum that covers motherhood, sexism, and other key issues facing sisters in society and the movement.

“Hip Hop, Black Power and Revolution?” — V-103’s D.J. Greg Street, Representatives from the Zulu Nation, Professor Griff, NYOIL, UNO The Prophet, Jasiri X, Block Entertainment and other industry heads give their spin on where Hip Hop is and how it will affect the peoples mindset in the near future. Is hip hop headed for revolution?

“Black Economics and Black Power” — Panel of economic leaders, real estate entrepreneurs and other African Centered business people who give expert advice on how the billions of dollars we spend in the Black Community and Black World must be used for ourselves.

“Black Nations Top Organizers” — Expert activists Dr. James Mcintosh (CEMOTAP-NY), Minister Bryan Muhammad (Millions More Movement-South Reg.), Olinka Green (Dallas & Paris, Texas), and representatives form Malcolm X Grassroots Movement breakdown the tactics and strategies on motivating the people for a cause.

“Police Brutality: Organizers Speak Up” — From Oscar Grant to Sean Bell. Legendary revolutionary Attorney Chokwe Lumumba (City Council- Jackson Mississippi) and panelists from around the nation will share lessons learned from fighting police harassment, murder and killing.

“Reparations: Report from our Leadership” — NCOBRA, December 12th movement, Lost Found Nation Of Islam and other National Reparations activists give actual facts on the status of the Reparations Movement.

“Black Music, Arts, Entertainment and Black Power” — The legendary Kenny Gamble of Philadelphia International Records, Darnide Cayo of Artists Village, and Tim Reid (Millennium Studios), Winston Johnson (WINSONIC Technology), host session on what the arts and culture have meant, and will mean to the liberation of our people.

Gang Summit” — Chief Kamara hosts street organization activists and members or ex members of the Crips, Bloods, Vice Lords and El Ruk’ns discuss Gangs, street organizations and the possibilities for unity

Tribute to the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad” — Panel will feature pioneers, beneficiaries and students of the Messenger and his legacy. Min. Abdul Rahman (NOI- Louis Farrakhan).
