Regney and his wife, Gloria Shayne wrote that and other songs together, and Regney co-wrote "Dominique-a-nique-a-nique" with
the Singing Nun. (One November night a couple of years ago, while listening to an oldies countdown show, I learned that the latter song was #1 the day Kennedy was shot, edging out "Louie, Louie". Creepy.)
