Yes, mice are a nasty pest, ruining food & crapping all over the place; I've killed those that get in without a qualm - but I still can't help liking them. They're such little animals, which makes it particularly pitiful to see them tortured. Not in my opinion. I hated to have to euthanize animals in experimental labs in college and med school. They forced us to do it.
