Extinct Animals, Who Killed them?

Whenever you are watching a wildlife program on TV about somewhere or other about the history of the wildlife there, there will be, at some point, the mention the arrival of Mankind, if it was Europeans then always described as the arrival of Europeans, or White men etc, but when the extinction was caused by non-White peoples it is always described as "the arrival of Man" a collective responsibility not a specific responsibility as in "the coming of the Europeans".

We always have the stereotype of non-White people "living in harmony with Nature".

The Polynesian people caused the extinction of over 1,000 species of birds. including 17 species of Moa in New Zealand, the Red Indian caused the extinction of the megafauna of North and South America, Australian Aboriginals did the same in Australia, the same with Madagascar and who is killing all the animals now? It is not the White man who is killing the elephants for the ivory or the White man who is buying the ivory fuelling the poaching epidemic in Africa, it is the Chinese that are the market for this blood ivory, no White men involved.
