Study suggests most Native Americans can trace some DNA back 20,000 years to just 6 women
March 13, 2008 NEW YORK: Nearly all of today's Native Americans in North, Central and South America can trace part of their ancestry to six women whose descendants immigrated around 20,000 years ago, a DNA study suggests. Those women left a particular DNA legacy that persists to today in about about 95 percent of Native Americans, researchers said. The finding does not mean that only these six women gave rise to the migrants who crossed into North America from Asia in the initial populating of the continent, said study co-author Ugo Perego. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/...erican-DNA.php [Notice anything wrong in this snippet.] |

A minor error: too many "abouts".
Also - tho I do not think this is what you were looking for - how do they KNOW that the 6 women's DNA persists in about 95% of abos? Have they tested all abos? This is like those f*****g AIDS bureaucrats claiming that tens or hundreds of millions of Africans have the HI virus. Oh, really? Have they actually tested all those people in all those little villages? It is not a simple or cheap test, either. |
