I've always thought that if the Third Reich won WW2 and continued to the present day, the Wehrmacht would have looked like the East German NVA with the retention of National Socialist insignia and decorations on the uniforms as opposed to the West German Bundeswehr which had more American influence.

Interesting side note: The style of steel helmet NVA troops wore from the 1950s to the DDR's reunification with West Germany in 1990 was actually designed in 1942 to replace the M1935 Stahlhelm but was not adopted by the Wehrmacht. So even their helmets were a NS German design.
