Mother: Suspect in Deadly P.F. Chang's Stabbing 'Snapped'

"Just like the show called "Snapped," my son snapped," said Shawn Maron-Huston. "That is not him. He's not a murderer."

The mother of a man accused of fatally stabbing a co-worker in the kitchen of a P.F. Chang's in Peabody, Massachusetts, says her son "snapped" and had been just one week away from taking anger management classes.

On Saturday evening, 38-year-old Elivelton Dias was working in the restaurant at the Northshore Mall when he was attacked. Police say 23-year-old Jaquan Huston is responsible for the homicide and is charged with murder

A customer who had beer spilled on him at a gas station fatally shot another man who was just buying a 12-pack with friends early Saturday, police said.

Oscar C. Carbajal, a 26-year-old St. Louis man, died after the “very senseless” 5:20 a.m. shooting in nearby Sauget, Ill, according to the town’s police chief, Patrick Delaney.

Police were still looking for the gunman, described as a black man, on Saturday night, Delaney told the Daily News.

Carbajal and his two friends had turned down his request for a beer from the 12-pack they bought at the late-night window of the Route 3 Liquor and Lottery at an area Phillips 66 station, Delaney said.

The men argued, and one of the beers fell out of the pack Carbajal’s friend was holding and sprayed the other customer’s shoe and lower leg, according to Delaney.

NEW YORK – Police in North Carolina have arrested the second suspect wanted in the June murder of a livery cab driver in Brooklyn.

Unique Gray, 23, is now in police custody after two months on the run from authorities.

On June 29, Naji Fawaz, a native of Yemen and father of four, was found in the driver’s seat of his car with bullet wounds to his torso, shoulder and neck in front of 396 Decatur St.

He was a driver for New Adam Express Car and Limo and had been driving for over five years. Fawaz was 35 years old.

Police almost arrested Gray in North Carolina on Aug. 25 during a traffic stop, but Gray took off. Officers spotted him again, however, on Sunday morning and took him into custody.

During the initial traffic stop police didn’t connect Gray to the Brooklyn murder because he gave them a fake name, according to officials.

Shortly after the murder, on July 3rd, police caught up with Gray’s alleged accomplice, 24-year-old Tyrell Gardenhire, who was charged with attempted robbery, murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

ABBEVILLE - Henry County Sheriff’s officials hope an arrest for capital murder will help bring some closure to the family of 21-year-old Apolinar “Poli” Perez Jr.

Sheriff William Maddox spoke Wednesday of an indictment for capital murder-robbery recently returned by a Henry County grand jury against Herman Cunningham Jr., 25, of Abbeville.

Maddox said the indictment came as a result of an over four-year investigation into the death of Perez, who was initially only reported missing on May 7, 2011. Perez was reported missing after he failed to return to work at Dante’s Pizza in Dothan after a lunch break.

FORT WORTH (AP) – A North Texas man must serve life in prison without parole for killing his ex-girlfriend, her older sister and the mother of the two women.

Cedric D. McGinnis Jr. pleaded guilty to capital murder in all three deaths and was sentenced Thursday in Fort Worth in a plea deal.

McGinnis acknowledged killing 21-year-old April Serrano, 35-year-old Kathy DeLeon and 48-year-old Cynthia Serrano in their Fort Worth home.

The sisters were shot during the June 2014 attack and robbery. Their mother was shot and stabbed.

The 23-year-old McGinnis told police that his former girlfriend let him sneak into the house so they could have sex, but then he planned to rob the women.

Some stolen items were later recovered at a home in Haltom City where McGinnis had family.

Default Excellent video...

"You must spread some reputation around before diving it to Pamela Ross again."

No White people either beaten, complaining about it, or excusing it as non-racial.

And, of course, the school official essentially denying it was, surprise, a Jew.

Surveillance video could lead to a possible break in a July homicide case.

A memorial wreath still stands near the spot 44-year-old Antonio Chavez was found dead about two months ago. It is something Larry Kilman immediately noticed when he parked his truck at Checker's Truck Stop. He couldn't help but wonder what happened.

"Perhaps a misunderstanding that ramped up like so many other things that are happening nowadays," Kilman said.

Chavez was a truck driver from Phoenix and had stopped at the truck stop July 9. The incident was first called out as an injury accident because the victim's truck was partially on the curb, but Oklahoma City Police Department Sgt. Ashley Peters says officers discovered more once they got to the scene.

Devon Givens has been charged with manslaughter in super Roger Balan's death.

A deadly altercation on Tuesday didn’t stop a Manhattan bike courier from pedaling to his next delivery.

The messenger, Devon Givens, 35, got into an argument with a tenant in the elevator of 432 Park Ave. South after making a delivery around noon, workers said.

The tenant called super Roger Balan, 58, who got into fisticuffs with Givens as he attempted to eject him from the building, the workers said.
