Decisive Battles - The Battle Of Thermopylae
The battle of Thermopylae was the most heroic last stand ever made in human history. Knowing that they must stand and fight to the death in order to save Sparta and Greece from Persian rule, King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans willingly lay down lives in defense of Sparta, and unknowingly, they sacrifice their lives to defend all of Europe from Persian enslavement. For the plan of Xerxes and his Father Darius, was to not only conquer all of Greece, but to conquer all of Europe.
