On September 25, 2017, the Proton-M heavy-lift launch vehicle with the Briz-M liquid-propellant rocket orbit insertion upper stages and the AsiaSat-9 telecommunications satellite was removed from the technological refueling platform to the launch site of the Baikonur cosmodrome. The launch of the Proton-M heavy-lift launch vehicle with the AsiaSat-9 spacecraft is planned from the launcher 39 (platform 200) of the Baikonur cosmodrome on September 28, 2017 at 21:52:16 Moscow time.

September 13, 2017 at 00:17:02 Moscow time from the Baikonur cosmodrome a launch vehicle with the transport manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-06 was successfully launched. Onboard the Soyuz MS-06 are members of the long expedition International Space Station - 53/54. The commander of the spacecraft is the cosmonaut of the Federal Space Agency of Russia Alexander Misurkin and NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Joseph Acaba.








Why is the video on the 12th and the flight took place on the 13th? I think that this was due to the difference between the time of the Youtube channel and the Moscow time

In 1999 he graduated from Armavir Military Aviation Institute (MAI) with a gold medal, was qualified as an "engineer-pilot".

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Since October 1999 he served as a pilot, master pilot, commander of the flight section of the guards training aviation regiment (TAR) of Krasnodar MAI (Tikhoretsk), the North-Caucasian military region.
On October 11, 2006 at the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for selection of cosmonauts Misurkin was enlisted in the cosmonaut detachment to pass a course of general space training (GST).
On February 26, 2007 he started to pass a two-year course of GST.
From June 28 to July 4, 2008 in Sevastopol (the Ukraine) Misurkin took part in trainings in case of the descent vehicle water landing within the preliminary crew together with Nikolai Tikhonov and Catherine Coleman (USA).

On June 2, 2009 he completed general space training having passed the graduation examinations at CTC with an "excellent" mark. On June 9 at the meeting of the Interdepartmental Qualification Commission (IDQC) Misurkin was qualified as a test cosmonaut and a cosmonaut certificate was granted to him.

By Order of CTC Head on August 1, 2009 he was appointed to a post of a test cosmonaut of CTC detachment.

At the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for selection of cosmonauts and their assignment to the crews of the manned vehicles and stations on April 26, 2010 he was certified as a cosmonaut of Yu. A.*Gagarin CTC detachment.

On July 17 - 20, 2010 in Kazakhstan within the preliminary crew Misurkin together with Sergei Zhukov and Sergei Gerasimenko took part in trainings for survival in the desert and semi-desert conditions.

On December 5, 2010 it was reported that he was assigned a flight engineer to the prime crew of the ISS-35/36 Expedition. Simultaneously this crew members (besides Misurkin in the crew there are Pavel Vinogradov and Chris Cassidy) will be backups of the Soyuz TMA-06M crew.

On February 18, 2011 his assignment to the Soyuz TMA-08M crew was confirmed in NASA 11-044 press release.

On August 18, 2011 he within the 4-th preliminary crew together with Pavel Vinogradov and Chrisopher Cassidy took part in "sea" trainings at MES Training Center near Noginsk. The crew tested the descent vehicle escape in spacesuits (without donning) during the limited time, water landing and evacuation.

On October 23, 2012 during the Soyuz TMA-06M MTV launch he was a backup of the crew flight engineer-1.

Since October 2012 he passed training for a space flight within the prime crew of the ISS-35/36 Expedition as a flight engineer of the Soyuz TMA-M MTV and the ISS-35/36 flight engineer.

On March 4, 2013 Misurkin within the crew together with Pavel Vinogradov and Christopher Cassidy began to pass the final comprehensive examination training. This day the crew passed traditional training on the ISS Russian Segment simulator. On March 5, 2013 the crew took the examination under the program for a short-term four-orbit ISS rendezvous scheme and on March 6, 2013 the crew completed the integrated test with traditional training on the Soyuz TMA-M simulator. By the results of each training the crew got excellent marks.

On March 7, 2013 Misurkin was approved by the Interdepartmental Commission as flight engineer-1 of the prime crew of the Soyuz TMA-08M vehicle. On March 27, 2013 at the State Commission meeting at the Baikonur Cosmodrome he was approved as flight engineer-1 of the prime crew.
Misurkin performed his first space flight at a period of March 29 to September 11, 2013 as a flight engineer of the Soyuz TMA-08M vehicle and the ISS flight engineer under the program for the prime crews of the ISS 35/36 together with Pavel Vinogradov and Christopher Cassidy. During the flight he performed three spacewalks, namely on June 24, 2013 of the duration of 6 hours 35 minutes, on August 16, 2013 of the duration of 7 hours 29 minutes, on August 22, 2013 of the duration of 5 hours 58 minutes.

The mission duration was 166 days 6 hours 15 minutes.

On July 6, 2015 he within the prime crew of the ISS 51/52 together with Nikolai Tikhonov and Mark Vande Hei began to pass training at Yu.A. Gagarin CTC.

On August 6, 2015 his appointment to the crew of the ISS 51/52 was confirmed by NASA press release No. 15-161.

On January 25-27, 2016 Misurkin together with Nikokai Tikhonov and Marc Vande Hei passed training for actions in case of the emergency landing in the wooded-marshy area in winter. For 72 hours the crew practiced the operations required for survival in case of the descend vehicle off-nominal landing.

On August 16, 2016 at the meeting of the Chief Medical Board at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center he was found fit for space flight for reasons of health.

On August 30, 2016 he together with Nikolai Tikhonov and Mark Vande Hei passed the integrated test training on the Soyuz simulator. On August 31, 2016 the crew passed the examination training on the ISS Russian Segment.
On October 19, 2016 during the Soyuz MS-02 launch Aleksandr Misurkin was a backup of the vehicle commander.

Since October 2016 he passed training as commander of the Soyuz MS-05 manned transport spacecraft and the ISS flight engineer in the backup crew of the ISS-52/53.

On June 16, 2017 at a meeting of the Chief Medical Board (CMB) at Yu.A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Misurkin was found fit by health status for space flight.

On July 28, 2017 during the launch of the Soyuz MS-05 manned transport spacecraft he was a backup of the spacecraft commander.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Vande Hei serves in the US Army. By the time of recruitment for the Astronaut Corps he served in a special Unit attached to NASA. He worked as the ISS operator at the Johnson Space Center.

On June 29, 2009 he was enlisted in the NASA Astronaut Corps (the 20th selection, NASA) as an astronaut candidate. Vande Hei completed a two-year course of general space training in July 2011 and was qualified as an astronaut.

HOBBY:
Tourism, cycle racing, kayaking, diving.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Worked as a hydro-geologist in Los Angeles, California, and was involved in the solution of problems related to groundwater contaminants.

As an Environmental Education Awareness Promoter he spent 2 years in the United States Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic.

He had one year of high school science teaching experience at Melbourne High School, Florida.

Since 1998 he had middle school math and science teaching experience (astronomy of primary classes) at Dunnellon Middle School, Florida.
On May 6, 2004 he was enlisted in the Astronaut Corps, NASA, within the 19-th selection as a candidate for the mission specialist under program "Teacher in space".

He passed examinations and interlocution at Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center within the 5-th finalist team since November 16, 2003.

From June 2004 to February 2006 Acaba passed training at Johnson Space Center. On February 10, 2006 upon completion of his training he received qualification as a mission specialist-teacher and was assigned to the Space Station Branch of the Astronaut Office, Johnson Space Center.

In October 2007 it was announced that Acaba was assigned as a mission specialist to the crew of Shuttle STS-119.

He performed his first flight at a period of March 16 - 28, 2009 as a mission specialist of Discovery STS-119.

During the flight he performed two walks into open space, namely on March 21 - of the duration of 6 hr 30 min and on March 23 - of the duration of 6 hr 27 min.

The mission duration was 12 days 19 hr 29 min.

On November 11, 2009 unofficial messages concerning his assignment to the prime crew of Expedition-31/32 to the ISS ISS-31/32 Expedition and the start of the preflight processing appeared. On July 8, 2010 his assignment was officially confirmed by NASA in press-release 10-161.

In January 2011 he took part in trainings for survival in the forest near Moscow as a member of the preliminary crew together with Gennadiy Padalka and Alexei Khomenchuk.

On August 22, 2011 at the meeting of State Medical Board (SMB) at Yu.A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CTC) he was recognized fit to a space flight as the Soyuz TMA-22 backup crew flight engineer.

On September 1, 2011 at the Cosmonaut Training Center Acaba together with Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin passed the examination training on the Soyuz TMA simulator. On September 2, 2011 the crew passed the preflight examination training on the ISS Russian Segment.

On November 12, 2011 he was approved as the Soyuz TMA-22 MTV backup crew flight engineer.

On November 14, 2011 during the Soyuz TMA-22 MTV launch Acaba was the vehicle flight engineer backup.

On April 23, 2012 together with Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin he passed the examination training on the ISS Russian Segment. On April 24, 2012 the crew passed the pre-flight examination training on the Soyuz TMA simulator.

On April 25, 2012 at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission at Yu.A. Gagarin CTC he was approved as a flight engineer of the prime crew of the Soyuz TMA-04 manned transport spacecraft.

Joseph ACABA performed his second flight at a period of May 15 September 17, 2012 as a flight engineer of the ISS-31/32.
The flight duration was 124 days 23 hours 51 minutes 30 seconds.

In September 2013 he took part in a 5-day mission aboard the Aquarius Underwater Laboratory located at a 20-meter depth near the coast of Florida together with Kathleen Rubens, Shoichi Noguchi and Andreas Mogensen.

On March 13, 2017 Joseph ACABA began training at Yu.A. Gagarin CTC.

On March 28, 2017 the appointment of Joseph ACABA to the prime crew of the Soyuz MS-06 spacecraft was confirmed in NASA press release 17-017.

Forget the dates. Why is most of the launch video CGI and not a real life video capture? Also why is the small satellite ball in the cabin not laying parallel to the astronots torso when the rocket goes parallel to the earth?

The little Sputnik model inside Soyuz was for Sputnik's 60th anniversary, October 4, 2017.

The Soyuz MS-06 mission blasted off from the same launch pad at Baikonur, Kazakhstan as Sputnik and Yuri Gagarin, as have all Russian manned space launches. And they are using the same basic rocket as Sputnik and Gagarin, developed from the world's first ICBM, R-7 Semyorka. It has launched over 600 times since 1957.

Although this was a night launch and was unseen in darkness, the four outboard booster rockets separated at +118 seconds in a pattern called the Korolev Cross.

I do not know what is planned to be done with Baikonur.
