'Syria unrest benefits Israel'

"The real enemies of Syria and the Syrian Army are not those armed groups, but the enemy is Israel-- very simply."

"But what I will say it here, would you please allow me to have some comments about what is said in Beirut about Syria. Nobody is convinced that United States and Britain and France and Israel are friends to Syrian population. They are the enemies of Syrian population, the enemies of Arab and Islamic world."

"My colleague was talking about freedom and democracy in Syria and etc. And I will inform him something very, very important and very clear, we lost our freedom in these last months because of the fighting inside Syria."

"One month ago there were no soldiers in the streets, no tanks in the streets, so where are those people? It is not to care peaceful demonstration. This is a very, very big lie. We have armed groups who make massacres and massacres against civilians."

"There was sectarian violence. It is not a revolution. It is only an act to devastate the Syrian state with all of its symbols-- the army, the president and the flag and the only side which very, very much has benefits of what is happening in Syria is Israel. Very simply it is not about Syrian population and it is not about Islamic League."

"Of course we will cooperate with Kofi Annan but the question here if we and we will withdraw our troops from cities and etc. and we will stop all fighting, but what is the guarantee? Who can give us any guarantee that these armed groups, those criminals, those extremists and these terrorists will stop fighting and killing our people?"

Syrian people urge Army not to withdraw under Annan deal

"Syrians in Homs have urged the Army not to withdraw from the western city as has been required by a peace plan proposed by the special UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan."

"According to Press TV, the residents’ opposition to the pullout comes as the international community is pressuring Damascus to implement Annan’s six-point plan."

"Under the proposed plan, the Syrian Army must first withdraw its troops from populated areas."

"Damascus has criticized Annan for not requiring the same commitment from the armed terrorist groups, who are fighting the government, warning that they would enter cities as soon as the Army gets out."

Armed men violating Syria’s ceasefire

"Reports from Syria say that anti-government armed groups are violating a ceasefire brokered by the joint UN-Arab league peace envoy Kofi Annan."

"Syrian state TV reported on Thursday that armed men assassinated a local government official in al-Mazareeb town."

"In a similar incident, armed terrorists targeted a law-enforcement vehicle with an explosive device at Wadi Haj Khaled region in Idleb on Thursday, injuring a number of officers."

"Meanwhile, armed terrorists also killed an army officer and injured 24 others after they targeted a military bus with an explosive device in Syria’s second largest city of Aleppo."

"Syrian television reported that the anti-government armed groups were 'intensifying criminal operations in an attempt to destabilize Syria and torpedo the plan' of UN-Arab league peace envoy Kofi Annan."

40 Turkish intelligence agents captured in Syria
Sunday, February 19, 2012

Western officials fear that Iranian military presence along with Russian aid could turn Syria into a center of international friction much worse than the struggle inside Syria. They fear that the control over actions in Syria will be taken over by a Russian-Iranian "partnership" which would exclude the European Union and Turkey and that U.S. involvement could be too late and inefficient.

Turkey fears this development after a diplomatic crisis erupted with Syria when more than 40 Turkish intelligence officers were captured by the Syrian army. Over the past week, Turkey has been conducting intensive negotiations with Syria in order to secure their freedom, and Syria insists that their release will be conditioned on the extradition of Syrian officers and soldiers that defected and are currently in Turkey.

Britain To Blame For Civilian Deaths

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/syria-brita...182604449.html

Syria's deputy foreign minister has accused Britain of being directly responsible for the deaths of civilians in his country.

Doctor Fayssal Mekdad's accusation was in response to an incident in which a British-Algerian man was killed on the Syrian border.

His family insists he was a documentary film-maker.

Syrian opposition activists ask Kosovo for advice

Published April 26, 2012

PRISTINA, Kosovo – A Syrian dissident said Thursday his country's opposition is turning to Kosovo's former rebels-turned-politicians for advice on how to topple Bashar Assad's regime in Damascus.

Ammar Abdulhamid, an exiled anti-Assad activist, said that seeing a new country "emerging out of the nightmare and emerging as a state" could be inspiring for Syrian dissidents.

Assad's government has cracked down on a 13-month-old popular uprising in Syria, leading to an estimated 9,000-plus deaths.

"We are here to learn," Abdulhamid said during an interview with The Associated Press in Pristina. "Kosovo has gone through an experience that I think will be very useful to us in terms of how the different armed groups that formed the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) organized themselves."

Abdulhamid is one of three Syrian opposition activists visiting Kosovo, where they met former Kosovo rebels who fought a separatist war against Serbia in 1998-99. Serbia still rejects Kosovo's 2008 declaration of independence.

No details were given about the meetings with former rebels whose identities were not disclosed.

Syria's opposition has been criticized for failing to put up a more united front.

"We really need to get our act together as opposition coalitions," Abdulhamid said.

The dissident, who has been living in exile in the United States since 2005, compared the apparent lack of unity among Syria's opposition to Kosovo's own political divisions in the late 1990s between pacifist leader Ibrahim Rugova and armed rebels.

"Somehow they've managed to make it work so that gives us a hope that we can also rise above the differences and make transition to democracy in Syria something viable," Abdulhamid said.

The ethnic Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army launched an uprising against the regime of President Slobodan Milosevic in 1997. Serbia's response provoked international condemnation and led to NATO's 78-day bombing in 1999 that ended the crackdown on separatist ethnic Albanians and brought Kosovo under U.N. administration. About 10,000 people died in the Kosovo conflict.

Russia supports Serbia in rejecting Kosovo's declaration of independence, which many countries, including the U.S. and most EU countries, support.

State media: Dozens dead, injured in Syria blasts

By the CNN Wire Staff
May 10, 2012 -- Updated 0922 GMT (1722 HKT)

CNN) -- Two strong explosions rocked the Syrian capital Thursday, killing more than 40 people and sending residents dashing through bloody streets littered with debris, state media reported.

More than 170 others were injured, according to Syrian state television
.

State television described the blasts as "terrorist" explosions, a reference the regime has used to explain the ongoing violence.

Opposition group National Coordination Body, which includes members who are in exile, blamed the regime -- as did the Syrian National Council, the main opposition political group.

"This is a government planned attack and we are used to provocations using these tactics. ... We are in touch with the armed resistance," said Ausama Monajed, the adviser to the president of the council.

The blasts occurred in Qazzaz neighborhood and destroyed the nation's intelligence agency, the opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Preliminary information indicates it was a car explosion and casualties included civilians and security forces, the opposition group said.

Videos on state television showed panicked residents running down bloody streets strewn with body parts and burned cars. Some gingerly hauled the injured from scorched cars while others zipped up the dead in what appeared to be body bags.

Can Annan's Syria plan be salvaged?

Annan: Syria running out of options

School becomes sanctuary in Syria

U.N. response in Syria mocked Amid the chaos, plumes of smoke and white ashes rose into the hazy skies as rescue crews rushed toward the injured.

The blasts come hours after a leading opposition activist group said regime forces have killed hundreds since a cease-fire went into effect about a month ago.

As of Wednesday, at least 1,025 people have been killed, including 60 children, according to the Local Coordination Committees of Syria. The deaths include executions and tortures, the group said.

The United Nations has warned that the country risks plunging into a civil war if the warring sides in the 14-month uprising don't adhere to the cease-fire that went into effect on April 12.

"If this opportunity is not seized, I fear that what joint special envoy Kofi Annan has warned about will come to pass: a full-scale civil war with catastrophic effects within Syria and across the region," said U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Violence has continued despite a cease-fire brokered by Annan last month, and the U.N.-backed peace plan is the only chance to stabilize the country, Ban said.

"There is no escaping the reality that we see every day: innocent civilians dying, government troops and heavy armor in city streets, growing numbers of arrests and allegations of brutal torture," he said.

Opposition members and world leaders have accused President Bashar al-Assad of failing to observe the truce and cracking down on protesters despite his pledge not to.

Attacks have continued almost daily, including gunfire from security forces that killed a total of three people in Daraa, Homs and Idlib provinces on Thursday, opposition activists said.

A day earlier, a bomb blast went off near a convoy of U.N. observers entering the southern city of Daraa. There were no casualties among the observers, but the Syrian government said 10 soldiers were wounded.

Syria has become a grave concern for the international community, according to Ban.

"More than 9,000 people have been killed during the last 14 months. This is totally unacceptable and an intolerable situation," he said.

The observer mission in the nation comprises 70 monitors to ensure the cease-fire is implemented. The monitors are operating in Damascus, Homs, Hama, Idlib, Aleppo and Daraa. The number is regularly expanding, with the mandated total of 300 observers expected within weeks.

Robert Mood, who leads the United Nations supervision mission in the nation, visited the site of the blasts in Damascus on Thursday

SYRIA: US-NATO Supported "Opposition" Commits Extensive War Crimes

by Devon DB
Global Research, March 20, 2012

Finally, it should be noted that there are many similarities between the Syrian rebels and the Libyan rebels. The Libyan rebels launched a media propaganda war against Gaddafi, must like how Al Jazeera has lied about the ongoing events in Syria. In addition to this, much like the Syrian rebels, the Libyan rebels also committed war crimes.

While there are those who may be pushing for intervention into Syria, they may want to rethink it the situation in light of this new information. The situation may end up much worse as the Libyan rebels were linked to Al Qaeda and the NTC is now going to enact Sharia law. We should not want the same fate for the people of Syria.

Default Syrian 'Crisis' Spills Into Lebanon

Lebanon Clashes: Syria Divide And Sectarian Violence Rock Tripoli
quoteTRIPOLI, Lebanon -- Sectarian violence linked to the unrest in neighboring Syria shook the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli on Sunday (5/13), with street clashes killing one soldier and two civilians, the state news agency said.

The fighting highlights how easily trouble in Syria can raise tensions in neighboring Lebanon, with which it shares a complex web of political and sectarian ties and rivalries.

Residents said running gunbattles broke out in the city Saturday and continued through the night primarily between a neighborhood populated by Sunni Muslims opposed to Syrian President Bashar Assad and another area with many Assad backers from his Alawite sect.

Lebanon's national news agency NNA said one soldier was shot dead by a sniper in the city early Sunday. Another man was found dead on the side of a road while a third died after a shell landed in a residential neighborhood.

An Associated Press reporter in Tripoli said the Lebanese army sent reinforcements to the city, but that intermittent clashes continued Sunday with gunmen shooting at each other with automatic rifles. Heavier weapons, like rocket-propelled grenades, have also been fired.

At one point, the Lebanese army shot at group of men in a street, some of them armed, wounding two men. Residents rushed then to a hospital. One had been shot in the chest and appeared seriously wounded.

Similar clashes in the area in February killed two people.

The 14-month-old conflict in Syria has exacerbated sectarian and political tensions in Lebanon, and many fear Syria's chaos will eventually spill across the border.

Kosovo voices strong support for Syria opposition

14 May 2012 23:23

Source: reuters // Reuters

* Russia: Kosovo cannot become a rebel training center

* Kosovo minister denies training Syrian insurgents

By Louis Charbonneau

UNITED NATIONS, May 14 (Reuters) - Kosovo's Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj voiced strong support on Monday for Syria's opposition, saying his government had already established diplomatic contacts with Syrians fighting to oust President Bashar al-Assad.

Hoxhaj was responding to comments by Russian U.N. Ambassador Vitaly Churkin, who warned the U.N. Security Council that Kosovo should not be allowed to become a training center for rebels.

Speaking after a regular council meeting on Kosovo, a former province of Serbia, Hoxhaj made clear that Pristina was offering political support to the Syrian opposition, which is locked in a 14-month-old battle with forces loyal to Assad.

"We were among the first governments in Europe who was supporting the opposition in Libya and in other Arab countries last year, because we were fighting for the same aspirations, for the same values," he said.

"We have the same approach to Syria and have some diplomatic contacts between my government and (the) Syrian opposition," Hoxhaj said. "We are supporting very much their cause."

Asked if Kosovo had established training centers for Syrian rebels, Hoxhaj said: "Not at all."

Churkin, whose country is a strong supporter of Assad and has resisted Western calls to impose sanctions on his government, made clear that Moscow was afraid Kosovo was providing more than political advice.

"Turning Kosovo into an international training center for insurgents of various armed units could become a serious destabilizing factor, one going beyond the Balkan region," he said. "We call on international presences operating in (Kosovo) to curb such slippage."

Syria crisis: Houla 'massacre leaves 90 dead'

At least 90 people, including many children, have been killed in Syria's restive Homs province, opposition activists say, calling it a "massacre".

They said scores were wounded in the violence in Houla, as government forces shelled and attacked the town.

Shocking footage has emerged of the bodies of children killed as part of one the bloodiest attacks in one area since a nominal truce began in April.

The UN said its international monitors had visited the area.

France's Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius condemned the assault, and said he was making immediate arrangements for a Paris meeting of the Friends of Syria group, which includes Western and Arab nations, but not Russia or China, who have blocked previous attempts to introduce UN sanctions.

Fighting in Syria has continued despite the deployment of some 250 UN observers monitoring a cease-fire brokered by UN envoy Kofi Annan - a ceasefire which the BBC's Jim Muir in neighbouring Lebanon says is now "pretty fictional".

The UN says at least 10,000 have been killed since an uprising began in March 2011 against President Bashar al-Assad's rule.

Abdulrahman, meanwhile, says the new site Syriahr.org is run by Mousab Azzawi, who used to translate for the SOHR but was fired after falsely claiming to be an official spokesman for the organisation and calling for foreign intervention in Syria.[3]

This Zionist controlled front, The Muslim Brotherhood will "rule" every country that falls to the Zionist regime.

Quelle surprise:

Egypt's Brotherhood urges foreign action in Syria

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/egypts-brot...085222614.html

Quote:
Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood called on Arab and other world powers on Monday to intervene in Syria after 108 people were killed in the town of Houla in an attack it blamed on President Bashar al-Assad's forces.

Images of the bloodied bodies of children and others slain in Houla have shocked the world and highlighted the failure of a six-week-old U.N.-backed ceasefire to stop the violence in the 14-month uprising against Assad's rule.

"The Muslim Brotherhood calls on Arab, Islamic and international governments ... and the people of the free world to intervene to stop these massacres, especially after the failure of international forces and international monitoring to stop them," spokesman Mahmoud Ghozlan said in a statement.

He did not say exactly what the world should do about Syria.

The Muslim Brotherhood's candidate in Egypt's presidential elections topped last week's first-round poll, unofficial results show. The Islamist group already dominates both houses of parliament after earlier elections.

The U.N. Security Council on Sunday condemned Assad's government for firing heavy weapons at Houla.

Ghozlan also called on Syrians to put aside their differences and unite to "bring down the regime, make the revolution succeed and free the heroic Syrian people".

He said the Syrian government's crimes were worse than those of Genghis Khan, a warrior who founded the Mongol empire in the 13th century.

Syria's Muslim Brotherhood is part of the opposition to Assad, whose father, the late President Hafez al-Assad, bloodily crushed an armed Islamist uprising in the 1980s.

The Syrian and Egyptian branches of the Brotherhood share the same ideology but have no direct organisational links.

Maybe it's simply because the Ikhwan wants to help its "Sunni brothers" in Syria, against the "Shi'i dogs." Don't forget, these Arabs won't waste an opportunity to fight with one-another, even if it means that they'll whore themselves out a bit to Jewish interests down the road to 'get the job done.' Iraq and Libya are also prime examples of that, notably all the collaborators.

Yes, generally Arabs {with very few exeptions} are stupid treacherous easily manipulated low IQ scum, in other words due to the genetic factor there is already very little to work with, now add to this the retardation and backwardness of Islam and you have a total fucking mess which a handful of kikes easily exploit.

Russia worried about Kosovo ratlines helping terrorists in Syria

May 22, 2012

Boutros Hussein and Lee Jay Walker, Modern Tokyo Times

The Russian Federation is alarmed by reports that Kosovo under the leadership of ethnic Albanians and in complete collusion with America, is being prepared to train Syrian Islamists in this disputed territory. Irrespective of what people think about the Kosovo crisis the end result is the most telling. After all, just like the American invasion of Iraq led to the vast majority of Christians fleeing, similarly under various Western organizations vast numbers of Orthodox Christians have fled Kosovo.

Indeed, it is appalling to think that in a part of Europe where Orthodox Christians have to be protected by outside forces, when venturing into many parts of Kosovo where Serbians have been cleansed, or reside in small pockets; that despite this fact, Kosovo under Kosovo Albanian rule is still deemed worthy to instigate more violence. The Western organizations based in Kosovo are meant to show “a caring side” to the intervention of Kosovo whereby non-Albanians are protected. However, the truth couldn’t be further away when it comes to the elites of Washington and London. This applies to the bigger picture being a disguise in order to “pull the strings” in a strategic part of Europe. Therefore, deep down the entire cleansing of Orthodox Christians would suit the nations who intervened in order to utilize the area for Western containment policies.

The ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN), Vitaly Churkin, stated in relation to Syria, that “The training of militants would run counter to the efforts of the UN and Arab League special envoy, which are supported by the entire international community…Apart from this, turning Kosovo into an international drilling ground where the militants of paramilitary formations would get training might become a serious destabilizing factor reaching out to places far beyond the boundaries of the Balkans.”

Reports about important anti-Syrian individuals who have visited Kosovo recently are raising alarm bells. It also shows you the utter “unprincipled policies of Washington.” After all, several radical Sunni Islamists who were involved in September 11 had obtained training in Bosnia, whereby killing Orthodox Christians was covertly tolerated by the Bill Clinton administration. Therefore, once more it would appear that certain important individuals in America have no qualms about using Kosovo in order to train terrorists and mercenaries.

News about possible new ratlines in the media which aren’t under the influence of Western governments and important players who stay “in the shadows,” reached the Russian Foreign Ministry. Given this, the Russian Foreign Ministry commented that “Lately there have been media reports about contacts between Syrian opposition representatives and the authorities of the so-called Republic of Kosovo…This is not just about ‘exchange of experience’ in organizing separatist movements aimed at toppling existing regimes, it is also about training Syrian militants in Kosovo.”

“Such intentions raise concerns. They run counter to the efforts of United Nations – Arab League Special Envoy Kofi Annan, backed by the entire international community. We are calling on international organizations present in the province to take whatever steps are necessary to foil such schemes.”

Ammar Abdulhamid, a so-called Syrian human-rights activist based in America, stated “We come here to learn. Kosovo has walked this path and has an experience that would be very useful for us… In particular, we’d like to know how scattered armed groups were finally organized into KLA…We’re in vital need of joint actions as a coalition opposition.”

Therefore, Ammar Abdulhamid believes that learning from a terrorist organization is the best way to move forward. Of course, leading figures in the KLA have been implemented in an organ scandal. Paul Lewis wrote inThe Guardian, a British newspaper, that “The report of the two-year inquiry, which cites FBI and other intelligence sources, has been obtained by the Guardian. It names Thaçi as having over the last decade exerted “violent control” over the heroin trade. Figures from Thaçi’s inner circle are also accused of taking captives across the border into Albania after the war, where a number of Serbs are said to have been murdered for their kidneys, which were sold on the black market.”

“The report paints a picture in which ex-KLA commanders have played a crucial role in the region’s criminal activity. It says: “In confidential reports spanning more than a decade, agencies dedicated to combating drug smuggling in at least five countries have named Hashim Thaçi and other members of his Drenica group as having exerted violent control over the trade in heroin and other narcotics.”

The current saga highlights the desperation of anti-Bashar al-Assad forces which have taken up military arms against the secular central government. Also, given the fact that the Kosovo Albanian leadership relies on Western support, it is abundantly clear that ratlines lead back to Washington and London. After all, if it wasn’t for economic, political, and military support from outside nations which support the Kosovo Albanian leadership, then this “Washington-London imposed nation state” wouldn’t exist independently outside of Serbia. Therefore, with the strings being pulled in Washington and London, it is clear that the “picture is much bigger” and for this reason the Russian Federation wants to close this channel of covert operations.

Enver Hoxhaj, a spokesperson for the Kosovo Albanian leadership, commented that “We were among the first governments in Europe who was supporting the opposition in Libya and in other Arab countries last year, because we were fighting for the same aspirations, for the same values…We have the same approach to Syria and have some diplomatic contacts between my government and (the) Syrian opposition…We are supporting very much their cause.”

The most striking similarity in America’s support of Turkey which invaded northern Cyprus; supporting the KLA in Kosovo; the invasion of Iraq; and now turning against the secular government of Syria. Is that in the first three mentioned the Christian populations were decimated because Christians were attacked and churches were destroyed. Finally, in the last mentioned it is clear that Christians and Alawites have fled areas in Syria where the terrorist opposition is strong. Given this, it is abundantly clear that the demise of secular Syria under Bashar al-Assad would lead to new forces which would turn against all religious minorities. Therefore, a similar pattern is emerging whereby minorities become victims and even decades later the same discrimination in northern Cyprus and Kosovo still exists.

RT news agency stated to Serge Trifkovic, “Words that have been associated with the KLA – assassination, terror, bombings – is that really the kind of thing that the Syrian opposition wants to be associated with?”

Serge Trifkovic replied that “It seems that they don’t care, because I understand that Ammar Abdulhamid, one of the Syrian opposition leaders who came to Pristina and actually spoke to an AP reporter, said “We are here to learn.” Now this should be a huge wake-up call for those Syrians who are not supportive of the opposition, especially the minorities: the Alawites, the Christians – either Orthodox or Greek Catholic – the Shiites, the Kurds. The moderate Sunni Muslims should remember that if the Syrian rebels learn from the KLA, that means there will be a bloodbath after the fall of Assad and there will be no room for anyone but the majority group which subscribes to its extremist credo, whether it is that of greater Albania in Kosovo or the Muslim Brotherhood offshoot in Syria.”

What is clear is that terrorist ratlines are ongoing and clearly the government of Syria is doing everything in order to protect all Syrians irrespective if Muslim, Christian, Druze, secularist, or whatever. Syria is inclusive but terrorist groups which are being supported by outside forces are intent on installing a monoculture and destroying the rich fabric of Syria
