Default Fear of 'Right' wakes Europe's Governments to Immigration Problem

Fear of 'Right' wakes Europe's Governments to Immigration Problem

News/Comment; Posted on: 2006-07-17 21:54:45

Maltese correspondent reports on recent events

It is quite unbelievable, but we are at last hearing the right words coming from our mainstream politicians regarding the illegal immigration invasion.

After spending the last few years in the land of Nod, government seems to have been jolted into action, not for fear of the problems associated with African immigration, but for fear of "the right."

We have heard anti-immigration rhetoric oddly coming from such sources as the usually pro-immigrant Labour MP, Dr. Gavin Gulia. The man who pushed for Norman Lowell's arrest after the Safi speech, Foreign Minister Michael Frendo, has been saying the same things Lowell said on that day.

Sadly, though, it all seems to be little more than electioneering, as the following article from the Times of Malta suggests:

Europe, Africa endorse joint plan on migration
July 11, 2006

European and African ministers hailed a new era of cooperation in fighting illegal migration and backed a plan to support legal migrants, crack down on human traffickers and make aid to Africa more effective. But migrant rights' groups said the plan was vague on offers of more aid and trade to help the world's poorest continent discourage would-be migrants by creating more jobs at home. ‘There is no expanded aid from Europe to Africa in the plan, one African delegate said. ‘We have a plan and the means exist to implement it,’ said France's European Affairs Minister, Catherine Colonna, at the end of a two-day meeting of over 50 countries in the Moroccan capital. The ministers approved a joint strategy to tackle illegal migration, the source of hope for thousands of Africans seeking a better life but an object of fear in Europe, where politicians warn that taking in more migrants would fuel racism and support for far-right groups.

Well isn't that nice? Government doesn't want immigrants any more. Why? Not because our rulers are no longer Christians and thus aren't forced to take care of immigrants, not because banning African non-White immigration is the right thing to do. The government is 'talking the talk' out of fear of "the right!"

One wonders what will happen after the elections.

Now, if a few pols received a nice, fresh bullet to cement that fear, everything would be good. As always though, there is never any followup.

Default Austria: Majority of the Population Wants Total Ban on “Refugees”

Austria: Majority of the Population Wants Total Ban on “Refugees”

Their government is currently planning to send invaders to Rwanda, which will most likely be blocked by the EU.
No one ever wanted these people other than some number of white women (and of course the Jews).

It was always a lunatic scheme to flood white countries with all these brown people. The purpose of it was never made clear. They said it was to replace workers while also saying most jobs were going to be obsolete because of technological development.

It was always funded and promoted by Jews, who were able to get women to go out on the streets and signal their morality (and sexual desires). They also convinced everyone that anyone opposed to it was metaphysically evil.

Now, we’ve had this unbearable situation with these people for so long, everyone is sick of it (even a lot of women, frankly), and more and more are willing to simply say they want these people out. A majority of Austrians would support the government adopting a zero asylum limit and rejecting all asylum applications for the foreseeable future, according to recent polling.

In a survey conducted by the Unique Research Institute for the Heute newspaper, 56% of all respondents agreed in principle with a proposal that would see Austria no longer take in any refugees compared with 37% who disagreed with the suggestion.

The most common response from those polled was “strongly agree” with 36%, followed by “somewhat agree” with 20% . Comparatively, 19% “tended to disagree” with the proposal, and just 18% “strongly disagreed.”

Austria’s ability to cope with rising asylum applications has been the subject of political debate across the country over the past few weeks, fueled further by the recent remarks of Tyrolean Social Democrats (SPÖ) leader Georg Dornauer, who publicly questioned “whether the upper asylum limit should not be zero for the coming years” in a national newspaper.

Dornauer was scolded by his left-wing party leader Andreas Babler on the weekend, who called the comment “politically stupid” and “unthinkable,” leading his party colleague to retract the statement.

However, the Unique Research Institute polling creates a conundrum for the Social Democrats (SPÖ), showing that 45% of its own voters agree with the move and presumably do not consider such a proposal to be “stupid.”

8 years ago, they were very excited about getting invaded.

The plans are, unsurprisingly, supported overwhelmingly by voters of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) who currently top national polls ahead of legislative elections later this year — a total of 87% of those who back the party support the proposal.

Similarly, a majority of the co-governing Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) wants to see zero asylum at 58% while most voters of the Greens and the liberal NEOS are against the suggestion.

Unfortunately, Austria is a democracy, so it doesn’t matter what the public thinks. In a democracy, there is no way for the public to assert their will, at all. The government just forces things on you, while the media tells you it’s what you want.

Austrians are mad that Afghans are stabbing all their sluts.

"Austria is a democracy, so it doesn’t matter what the public thinks. In a democracy, there is no way for the public to assert their will, at all. The government just forces things on you, while the media tells you it’s what you want" - all that this will do is make the reckoning a different matter, when it happens.

The majority of Europeans: British, French, German, Dutch, Yugoslavs, etc are of the same opinion.
