Default Great-grandson beats great-grandmother to death appears to have remorse

Great-grandson beats great-grandmother to death, regrets not killing his own mother

A 23 year old man, Gary Bias has been accused of fatally beating his 82 year old great-grandmother, Ella-Nae Bias, to death and tying up his mom. Bias told police after he got arrested that he regretted not having the chance to finish off his mother.

The 23-year-old accused killer was ordered held without bail hours after members of his Alphabet City neighborhood called for his head.
A neighbour of the great-grandmother, Moses Ware said: “If I see the kid I would break his neck”. “That lady was so nice."

Police say that Bias went to his Great-grandmother's house looking for money and clothes and when she said she didn't have any money, he duct-taped her wrists and ankles to a chair before beating her to death on Friday inside her apartment.

According to Police, after killing her, Gary Bias then called his 39-year-old mother, claiming that his great-grandmother wanted to see her.

When the mother arrived, Ella-Nae was already dead and Gary was “lying in wait,” a police source said.

As soon as his mother entered the apartment, Gary overpowered her, beat and kicked her and then bound her to a chair and covered her mouth with duct tape.

Gary Bias is a career felon who has been arrested 16 times and was last arrested in November when he attacked his 42-year-old step-father with a mini-baseball bat, cops said.

That kid had a good upbringing, you would never suspect this of him,” neighbor Tyrone Bethea said. "The kid was a quiet, loving kid, but I guess he was a walking time bomb. I don't know what set him off. He looked like he had a lot of things bottled up."

Default 911 sheboon dispacher accused of hanging up on callers

October 11, 2016

HOUSTON - A former Houston Emergency Center 911 operator has allegedly confessed to hanging up on callers seeking emergency help because “she did not want to talk to anyone at that time,” according to Houston Police Department investigators.

Crenshanda Williams, 43, has been charged with interference with an emergency telephone call, which is a misdemeanor.

According to charging documents, managers at the emergency center determined that Williams had been involved in thousands of “short calls,” a term used to describe 911 calls that last 20 seconds or less, between October 2015 and March 2016.

In one case, Williams allegedly hung up on Hua Li, an engineer who called to report a robbery in progress on March 12. Li said he had been buying lottery tickets at a RaceWay convenience store on FM 1960 West at Mills Road, when a nigger entered and tried to force his way through the door of a glassed-in security area behind the counter. As two clerks attempted to block the door, Li says he ran from the store and heard several gunshots on his way out. When he got to his car, he called 911 for help.

“They just said, ‘This is 911. How can I help you?’ I was trying to finish my sentence, and we got disconnected,” Li said.

Police said that Williams was the 911 operator, and that she terminated the call within a few seconds.

Li called a second time and got a different operator. By the time police arrived, however, the store manager had been shot and killed.

According to police, when Williams was questioned about the incidents in June 2016, she told them, “... that she often hangs up on calls that have not been connected because she did not want to talk to anyone at that time.”

Williams no longer works for the Houston Emergency Center. She’s scheduled to appear in court next week.

HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - A man's been arrested in the shooting of Adrianus Michael Kusuma, the Spring restaurant owner killed last month.

John Wesley Baldwin is charged with capital murder. Baldwin appeared before a judge in video court Tuesday night.

According to prosecutors, a neighbor was able to take a photo of a suspicious vehicle leaving the neighborhood the night of the murder. That picture helped officers make an ID and arrest Baldwin.

Deputies found pictures of the restaurant and a text conversation about the burglary and robbery on Baldwin's cell phone.
