Default Do you think the Roman empire was good or bad . .?

. .?

Little historical breakdown ..

Rome was a city-state . . Pretty much the centre of Europe back then . . .

. . in time the people there became imperialist and started taking land in the north , south , east , west . . .

They fought the Germanics in northern Europe , the Celts in Western Europe , the Phoenicians in the south ( Carthago ) , the Egyptians , jews in the east and others . .

. . do you think this was a great example of 'European power' and ingenuity or do you think the Roman empire was doomed to fall from the beginning . .?

. . in the end the Empire was even divided into a Western and Eastern half since it became too inextricable to govern . .

- - - -

. . it fell under Caesar Romulus Augustulus . . ( Eastern Rome fell later . .)

. . how do you view it . .?

Rome , having ceased to be the heart of the Empire now became the centre of Christendom instead . . . Later for the Catholics . .

I suppose this is why many call Rome 'the eternal city' . .

. . and indeed it has always been a centre of Europe . . .

. . the first European superpower , after that the seat of christianity . .

. . but it also isn't a secret that Rome's status always lured in multiculturalism and jews ( who tried to make a buck . . ) Hmmmm . .

. . what Rome certainly has brought . .

- it was , in a way , the first city to unite all of Europe . .

. . it brought the Celts / Germanics the civilisation ( city-dwelling ) which previously more or less had a 'wild rover'-lifestyle ( Celts / Germanics were immigrants into West-Europe ; Germanics having invaded from Eastern-Europe / Eurasia and Celts from Asia Minor , so they were more of less 'on trek' . .) . . .

. . it also brought them one common script . .

. . it held together early christendom . .

Views on Rome ?

. . on the 'Roman Empire' . .?

. . P. S. : Other names for Rome include 'the most astounding city in the universe' . .

. . or 'the navel of the world' . . .

It was pure example of White power I know that many groups of Whites has been outside of Rome and came as barbars including anglo-saxons (Germans) and also my Slavic nation however to be real it was White Empire who deserve respect. Yes, Romans became multicultural because they as many whites in past and nowdays expected non-whites as workers, they did not stop reproduction of poor and Christianity came to power, Rome became easy prey for the invadors. Just look today how many non-racial whites we have and we do not need them as Romans did not need other whites outside Rome. I think that jews hate Romans more than Hitler because they destroyed their temple in Jerusalem,Hitler as German who were enemyes of the Rome used roman salute in ww2. Just look on what way jews represented Nero as on their Bible as "Devil 666" and they shows how will Rome burn in New testament, Revelation.

See this thread that appeared on 8pol (and is now archived on zigforums): . Rome imported a lot of non-whites and that, along with concentration of wealth in the hands of a few, resulted in the downfall of the empire.

Major factors in the decline of the Roman Empire were the concentration of wealth,[7] the absence of mining deposits for industrial production, and the vast importation of non-White slaves with the resultant degradation of the genetic value of the nation. By the 4th century AD, as a result of the continuing decline in Roman female fertility, slaves outnumbered citizens by five to one. The most important economic reason was an inadequate supply of an inexpensive circulating medium of money and the false notion that money should be a commodity. Thus from an economic perspective, the lessons from the fall of Rome are that a dishonest economic system will inevitably contribute to the forces of dissolution. No society can survive a false economic system. For any society to function and prosper it is absolutely fundamental that the means of exchange be issued free of debt and interest by the legal authority of the state as representatives of the people in perpetuity.

[7] “When the Government of old Egypt fell, 4 per cent of all the people owned all the wealth. When the Babylonian civilisation toppled, 3 per cent of the people owned all the wealth. When old Persia went down to destruction, 2 per cent of the people owned all the wealth. When ancient Greece fell in ruins, one-half of 1 per cent of the people owned all the wealth. When the Roman Empire fell, two thousand people owned the wealth of the civilized world. Then followed the Dark Ages, from which the world did not recover until wealth was nolonger concentrated. Today less than 1 per cent of the people controls 90 per cent of thewealth of these United States.” – as quoted in R. Maguire, “Money Made Mysterious”,American Mercury magazine, New York, 1958, 98. (American Mercury was founded by H.L.Mencken in 1924).

Goodson, A History of Central Banking and the Enslavement of Mankind

Ben Klassen also mentions in his book, Nature's Eternal Religion, how the Aryans eventually mixed away in India, Egypt and Rome. America seems to be simply another iteration of that.

So if you're asking if Rome was "good or bad," my opinion is that if you're going to build an Aryan empire, you have to keep it Aryan, repel Jews, and castrate slaves, otherwise history will repeat itself.

@ O. Pierce

. . would your post imply that modern day Italians are not part of our race ? ( since you mention texts claiming 'Aryans mixed away in the Roman Empire' )

. . my understanding of the racial history in Italy . . .

It appears to be true that Western Rome fell because of mixing with slaves from Africa and the Middle East . . Strictly said , "Romans" , in the classical sense ,no longer exist today . . they mixed away with their coloured slaves . .

However , after that Italy got a new deal of Aryan blood set by the Lombards who invaded Italy from the north . . even to the point that the 'mixed-race remnants' were driven into 'the foot of Italy' . .

Today there is a strong difference between Northern-/Southern-Italy . .

During the Middle Ages the "Holy Roman Empire" stretched from Northern Germany to Rome in the south . . . .

The pagan Roman empire fell yet the Roman empire as such survived in the form of the Curch-state . . it was largely influenced by the Germanic blood of the northern Italians at that time ( on a side note , we in Germany even until this day use German-sounding names for northern Italian cities , like "Mailand" for Milano or "Venedig" for Venice since during the Middle Ages it was part of the same area . . ( in German "Holy Roman Empire" is called "Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nation" ( "the holy Roman Empire of the German nation" ) , which implies a Germanic influence ) )

Technically, the Roman Empire survived until 1453 as the Eastern Roman Empire, also called the Byzantine Empire. Other historians say 1806 when the Holy Roman Empire was abolished by Napoleon Bonaparte.

The Holy Roman Empire is considered to be the First Reich, correct? Just as the German Empire was the Second Reich and National Socialist Germany the Third Reich.

Interesting alternate history speculation to think how long the Roman Empire might have lasted had it not adopted christinsanity. Even the xtianized Byzantine Empire lasted until the 15th century. The Star Trek episode 'Bread And Circuses' shows a Roman-style planet with 20th century technology.

No offense dude but I don't think the Roman Empire fell because of Christianity. . It fell becaus the Romans themselves disappeared.

But . . if the Roman Empire had continued to exist , I think it might have conquered the world . . (they already had conquered a part of the known world back then . .) . .

But . . when a certain people vanishes the culture will vanish also . .

I think they survived because they were relatively unmixed . . .

On the successor of 'West Rome' , the 'Holy Roman Empire' of the Germanics , Catholicism thrived while Eastern Rome adapted Orthodoxy . . .

Well...

I always thought the Empire in Star Wars and even the Cylon-empire in Battlestar Galactica resembled the Roman Empire . .

Good point about the Cylons. The Centurion resembled the Roman counterpart with a sword resembling the Gladius and the helmet was similar, too. And the Cylon empire was ruled by 'Imperious Leader.'

Back to Star Trek--10 years before Star Wars, the classic episode 'Mirror, Mirror' showed Capt. Kirk and company experiencing a transporter malfunction that sends them to a parallel universe where instead of the Federation, there is the Terran Empire, which seems to be a futuristic Roman Empire. Spock's counterpart looks sinister with a beard and Sulu is the Enterprise's scar-faced security chief who is about to fire the ship's phasers to destroy a helpless planet. He could have just as easily been the guy on the Death Star who pressed the button to blow up the planet Alderaan in Star Wars.

Many people throughout time were inspired by the Roman Empire . .

It truly was the biggest power to ever come out of Europe to this date ( for the time they were living in they achieved pretty much ) . .

Mussolini under Italian fascism drew hard on the symbolism of the Roman empire . .

Like the 'Roman salute' for example . .

. . even the National socialists of Germany . .

. . what should also be mentioned is that after the Christianisation of Europe Latin remained as a classical language . .

. . as you may know from this thread https://vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=554728 I recently returned from a trip through European cities . . Gotta say , about Rome : A trip through Rome means :

A lot of Antiquity , Middle Ages , Renaissance , church-stuff , even World War 2 history . .

So , yes , in a way , it is an 'eternal city'

"Rome . . sweet Rome"

. . one of the most important and most influential cities worldwide . . next to cities like London or New York . .
