What the heck is a 110?

What caliber?

Why use bullets that no one else uses?

I think it's a .308 cal.

I used to have a 300 Savage lever action years ago what a fantastic weapon it was, I am sad that I sold it.

30-06 in the caption,

Quote from the article:

"Over the years, the basic Savage Model 110 action has been the platform for many variations. Model numbers include Models 10, 11, 12, 111, 14, 114, 16, 116, 40, and 210, the latter actually being a 12 gauge shotgun slug gun. And I’ve probably missed a few variations. Calibers have included .204, .223, .22-250, .243, .270, .270 WSM (Winchester Short Magnum), 7mm-08, 7mm Remington Magnum, .308, .30-06, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 WSM, and .338 Magnum and I may have missed some of those, too. "

I am so sorry i didn't check the link.

I've been on other forums today and people bring up the most obscure guns and say their the best thing when you can't even buy ammo for them.

If Savage has a .308 with a removable mag I love it.

"110" refers to the model not the caliber or "bullets". Its a very common gun that Savage has manufactured for years and comes in many calibers.

Its good shooter. The only thing I found necessary is to bed the recoil lug which is a simple job anyone can do. That increased accuracy by at least 50%. Handloads should get you down to 1" groups at 100 yds. That's sniper accuracy by anyone's standards.
