Default Naming Our White-First Network

Post your suggestions to name the forming VNN Broadcasting Network. As this thread develops, a list will be compiled and set to poll. The three highest-rated naming ideas will then be decided by a final poll or by Alex himself, if he so chooses.

My suggestion to kick it off - The Vanguard News Broadcasting Network (VNBN)

Default No wait! Let's name it the White Nazi Aryan Network!

How bout something with mass appeal? After all, it's "mass" media. We already know what the message will be, let's put our thankin caps on fellas and be a bit creative, huh? Marketing guys, Marketing!!

I'm ready to open up my wallet if this can be done right. I'd like to see some plans too.

How about just VNN. Rhymes with CNN. Short, simple and to the point. Get someone with a deep, resonate, commanding voice to introduce the show. Something like: "And now, VNN". Or: "this, is VNN". Then cut to Alex who lays out the format of the days show.

I agree with that. I always thought that VNN was an allusion to CNN anyway.

Thumbs up Seven suggested names

Majority News Station (MNS)

Our Network News (ON News)

White Broadcasting Company (WBC)

Real News Network (probably already trademarked, though)

United White Network (could double as name of nonprofit organization)

Northern News Corporation (NNC for short, might also be already trademarked, or similar to another trademarked name & therefore actionable)

National White Network News (NWNN, gets the -NN suffix without being actionable by CNN)

Keep it simple. WHITE VOICE RADIO. When we link to it we can still use the VNN as a base. So it'll be WVR-VNN, which makes it sound great, like old call letters.

How's the project coming along? How are donations? (Get mine? )

Either way I had another idea. Once there's enough broadcasts to matter we can burn them onto CDs like others do, notably David Icke. A couple CDs can hold six hours of broadcast on them. Everyone can burn a few and sell them on EBay or better yet give them away.

In fact, this part of the agenda can match with the newsletter. It's nothing to make a batch of CDs to go with the tabloids if you think that will help. Face it, not everyone is on the net. So people can listen to Alex on their CD player while driving into work or whatever.

Worth a look maybe.

Steve---This would be too adult and too professional---and someone might take VNN and White men seriously.

I was headed to this thread to post almost the exact same things as this. Weird.

We definitely need Vanguard in there...and Network...at the most, change only News to Radio or something. But I still like VNN better.

A name that provokes curiosity will attract the most listeners. I like "WHITE MAN'S RADIO NETWORK."

"White Voice Network" is good too, though.

VNN sounds fine to me. In fact the "Aryan Alternative" should be rebranded as Vanguard News. Using VNN in the names of our various media will help to create an identifiable brand.

Vanguard News Network (website)
VNNlive (net radio/ webcast)
Vanguard News (print/tabloid)
VNNforum (community/messageboard)

I say stick with VANGUARD NEWS NETWORK.

1. You don't want the name to be the attraction, you want the content to be. No offense to VNNers, and I'm one spiritually if not very actively, but WHITE or ARYAN will attract mostly Stormfart types and will put off the few Ludendorff/Papen-types that, even in Amerikwa, must exist.

2. Hitler was the seventh member of the unknown National Socialist German Workers Party. By comparison, VNN is FAMOUS!

I put the naming the broacasting arm out here to find options to name the network independently, as a subsidiary. If it all leads back to Vanguard News Network as the trade name then so be it. I just want to test the possibility of alternative branding. I like the idea of using a call letter theme like WVB, White Voice Broadcasting. Has that network branding ring to it. VNN by itself is good to because it does sell a branding theme.

Lets all spin a few more suggestions so that I can get a poll going that includes all suggestions.

Default Consider trademark/copyright issues when choosing names/phrases

Something to consider are possible trademark infringement & copyright violations that might complicate choosing a name/logo/slogan. I mention copyright because of the successful copyrighting of the phrase "Everybody is entitled to my opinion" by some jerk who squeezed money out of David Brinkley (more on that here):
Quote:
Brilliant Minds Think Alike, But Brilliant Lines Cost You

By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK
Staff Reporter of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Everyone's entitled to David Brinkley's opinion, but they have to pay for Ashleigh Brilliant's thoughts....

Mr. Brilliant's racket: professional epigrammatist. Creating and copyrighting pithy mottoes has been his livelihood since 1967. So far, the 63-year-old former history professor has copyrighted 7,540 aphorisms, which he licenses for postcards, T-shirts and other products. They range from his favorite, "Fundamentally, there may be no basis for anything," to No. 7,540: "My plan is to get through life without ever having a plan." And they include No. 461, copyrighted in 1974: "Everybody Is Entitled to My Opinion."

After Mr. Brinkley's book with a similar title was published last fall, Mr. Brilliant wrote him a letter saying: "I have always had the utmost respect for you and your work ... but I am sorry to tell you that there is a legal problem." Noting that Brilliant v. W.B. Enterprises Inc. found that even a short, catchy phrase is entitled to copyright protection, Mr. Brilliant explained, "I am obliged to fight tenaciously to retain those rights, because my entire livelihood depends on it."...

Indeed, the world of epigrams is fairly well-mined with Brilliant copyrights waiting for infringement. He has now settled 134 infringement claims, he says.

And in this case, too, he won in the end. Random House, which published Mr. Brinkley's book, paid him $1,000 for the rights without agreeing to or contesting Mr. Brilliant's claims.
We have to assume in advance that lawyers will come calling if any name/phrase is the same as, or too similar to, another already taken. What they did to Hale they can do to anyone. "VNN" is very close to "CNN" in sound, although there is probably already case law upholding the right of others to use XNN, where NN=News Network and X=anything. However, there is the possibility that the Jews have been trademarking anything and everything they can think of relating to white power to usurp use by others. I highly recommend doing some investigations before investing to much time & effort into establishing a brand that can subsequently result in others giving us legal problems.

I acknowledge that I am not an expert in these matters and give this advice in relative ignorance of the possible dangers (or lack thereof) involved.

Hence, taking a bit of time in farming naming ideas so that before they hit the poll, they can be checked with copyright and trademarking arms of zog for any clashes. I and my band partners in crime went through a week long process to secure our band name based on our conceptual ideas. That instructed me on how to streamline the process to save time and energy as it can be quite frustrating.

As far as using VNN for the network moniker, as long as we don't infringe on cnn's logo design or step on another broadcasting networks use of VNN, then it is a good bet we could trademark it and its logo without objections.
