The woman in Werner's video does look a little like Gillian Anderson, who played Dana Scully on The X-Files, whom I have had a crush on since 1993.

The 'Nordic' aliens come from the Pleiades, according to Billy Meier. Aldebaran in the constellation Taurus is nearby, appearing to follow the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades constellation. The name Aldebaran is derived from Arabic, signifying "the follower."

Os Trapalhões na Guerra dos Planetas is a 1978 Brazilian comedy, fantasy, adventure and science fiction film, the thirteenth of the humorous group Os Trapalhões, directed by Adriano Stuart. It is the first film of Os Trapalhões to feature the complete simultaneous formation of the four comedians who enshrined the group: Renato Aragão, Dedé Santana, Mussum and Zacarias, although the latter has been with the group since 1975. The film that is marked by use of slow motion, videotape and chroma key is a trashy and childish parody of the American space opera franchise Star Wars, by George Lucas. In the film, Prince Flick (Pedro Aguinaga), parody of Luke Skywalker, asks the Trapalhões for help to save his fiancee and his planet from the evil emperor Zucco (Carlos Bucka), parody of Darth Vader.

Outside of Brazil, mainly in English-speaking countries like the United States, the film is known for its suggestive title of Brazilian Star Wars. The film is also known for being the first Brazilian science fiction feature, also known as "sci-fi".

Amusing Star Wars parody. Kind of like Mel Brooks's 1987 Star Wars spoof Spaceballs, minus the jewiness. Maybe Tereza Mascarenhas should have transformed into Wonder Woman to defeat Zucco/Darth Vader.

Yes, Comrade Ray, if Tereza had become Wonder Woman, Zucco / Darth Vader would have no chance ...

Did you trigger the subtitle in the movie?

Yes, the English subtitles came up automatically.

I commented on the earlier clip from this movie you posted in the Brazilian women thread where we were talking about Tereza that the low-budget special effects and weird music (chroma key?) reminded me of the 1970s Dr. Who episodes. I've seen those Styrofoam igloo things before that were spoofing Luke Skywalker's house on the planet Tatooine--they are dog shelters, I think. And the spaceship that was supposed to be Han Solo's Millenium Falcon looked suspiciously like the Proteus from Fantastic Voyage with a few extra parts attached.

Yes, Comrade Ray, I remember your comment about some similarities between this film and Dr. Who from the 1970s.

In Brazil and abroad it is sought by collectors as a classic trash.

In addition to the observations you made about the crazy igloos and the spaceship, another curiosity is that this movie was recorded not on film, but on videotape, a television format, which allowed for faster and less cost to shoot. The VT image was later enlarged to 35mm.

I take this opportunity to say that I am a fan of Ed Wood's crazy films, like Plan 9 From Outer Space ...

Plan 9 From Outer Space was voted the worst film ever, but that's what makes it a cult classic. The flying saucer is a hubcap from a 1957 Chevy, etc.

And yes, exactly, Comrade Ray, these are classic cult films.

Low-cost, crazy, fun and ... classic movies.

And these films are very much in demand by collectors ...

I love this.

It is amazing how many things Nazi germany did in such few years of its existence. Imagine if war had not been forced upon them and they existed for a longer period of time.

Absolutely, NS Germany could have put the first man into space and many other things.

I think the same, Comrades Ray and Clifford.

The III German Reich made remarkable advances.

Operação Highjump e a Batalha da Antarctica, 1946 e 1947.

Teria sido este o real fim da II Guerra Mundial?

Operation Highjump and the Battle of Antarctica, 1946 and 1947.

Was this the real end of World War II?

Após o falecimento do almirante Byrd, seu filho encontrou seu diário e acabou publicando-o. Este é um pequeno trecho do livro intitulado The Missing Secret Diary of Admiral Byrd. Por Richard Evelyn Byrd. Ainda está disponível nas principais livrarias.

Eu não reivindico a validade desta história. Isso cabe a você decidir.

After the passing of Admiral Byrd his son found his diary and eventually published it. This is a small excerpt from the book titled, The Missing Secret Diary of Admiral Byrd. By Richard Evelyn Byrd. It is still available at major book retailers.

I do not claim validity of this story. That is up to you to decide.

There were a couple of discrepancies in that video, besides poor narration. One, Adm. Byrd mentioned only himself and his radio operator being on the plane. They were most likely aboard a Douglas R4D, the US Navy's version of the US Army's C-47/DC-3, which was used in Operation Highjump. This aircraft carried a crew of four: pilot, co-pilot, navigator and radio operator. Why no mention of them? Two, he references the "military-industrial complex," a term that was not used until 1961 when President Eisenhower mentioned it in his farewell address. Byrd allegedly wrote the log in 1947.

Were the UFOs German? Flugelrad is "flying disk" in German.

Interesting story, but I am quite skeptical of its authenticity.

Thank you for participating, Comrade Ray. The video above impressed me...

According to Admiral Byrd supposedly reports in his diary, UFOs had swastikas...But I will look for other videos and texts to compare with this one above and analyze.

Very interesting. Thank you for another contribution to this thread, Comrade Ray.

This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite subjects.
