Henrico slaying jolts Shenandoah town
Father is shot as he, two sons unload bags at airport-area motel

From his home in the poultry-rich Shenandoah Valley town of Broadway, Gary Post Sr. could see North Mountain to the west and listen to the trickle of Linville Creek.

"He loved living in a quiet, rural place," said neighbor James Fye, who said Post moved to the area from Northern Virginia about 14 years ago.

But early Tuesday morning, accompanied by his two adult sons, Post's search for an inexpensive room and a few hours' sleep near Richmond International Airport ended in his death.

Henrico County police said the three were overtaken and held at gunpoint as they unloaded their bags at The Legacy Inn, a compound of single-story motel rooms off Williamsburg Road.

Police last night were looking for four black males, 19 to 25 years old, from 165 to 200 pounds and all just under 6 feet tall. A witness who saw the assailants leave the motel said they were driving a tan or silver late-model Pontiac. Each man carried a blue-steel, semi-automatic handgun.

Post, 54, was shot once in the chest after the assailants demanded money.
"All we can think is that he must have been unfamiliar with the area and was taken by surprise," said Broadway Mayor James Long, a lifelong resident of the town where Post and his family were known as trustworthy, community-involved residents.

"His kids did swim team with mine, and his daughter, Becky, dated my nephew for a number of years," Long said.

News of Post's death spread among Broadway's 3,500 people long before police bulletins were issued. Last night, friends and family gathered at the Posts' home on Shenandoah Avenue.

The assailants "didn't even get any money," said Henrico Police Lt. Doug Perry, who said Post and his sons, Gary Jr. and Jacob, were unarmed. "This was a totally senseless . . . " His death was the county's second homicide of the year.

Post died at VCU Medical Center shortly after the 12:37 a.m. shooting.
Stains from pooled blood on a sidewalk outside Room 131, which cost $39.95 for the night, still marked the shooting site yesterday.

Family members could not be reached last night, but longtime friends said Post and his sons were headed for the wedding of a family friend in Texas where Post's wife, Mary, was waiting. She flew back home yesterday.

Long, the mayor, said staying overnight near the airport is nothing unusual, given the three-hour drive from the Shenandoah Valley. "I did the same thing a few weeks ago," he said.

Post and his wife had a carpet and floor covering business in Broadway called Carpet Tech of Virginia. Deeply involved in the community, they had a mural depicting a covered bridge painted on their business, part of a downtown beautification effort.

"He had a great reputation for doing good, fair, honest work. I asked around, and he was the guy people recommended," said Larry Heine, who moved to the area from Pennsylvania and ended up creating a Web site for Post's business. "It's still unfinished; they were always too busy to spend the time it would take to get it completed," Heine said.

"He did my carpets for me and he couldn't have been a nicer person," said Broadway High School Assistant Principal Kelly Troxell. "His store was right down the street from school, so I wanted to give a local business my business. That's the way we do things here."

All three of the Posts' children went to Broadway High School, where teams are known as the Gobblers, and at least one of his sons joined the family business, friends and neighbors said last night. The boys plays sports, and Becky ran track and was a cheerleader.

Yesterday, the small town 12 miles northwest of Harrisonburg was in mourning even before funeral arrangements were complete.

Flower orders for the funeral were already coming in yesterday morning at Evergreen Florist, another family business, where co-owner Jane Remson said Post used to come to buy flowers for his wife. "They did the carpet for our new house," she said. "He was a good, dependable guy. They are just down-to-earth good people.

"This is just not the kind of thing that happens to people here. Not even when they go off to the city," she said.

Next door, C.W. Grandle said his family business, Grandle Funeral Home, will help lay Gary Post to rest.
"It has been a sad day for everyone," Grandle said.

Police say he raped a jogger Monday and fondled a 5-year-old.

ST. PETERSBURG - Jesse Knight, a hulking teenager, was arrested Wednesday after witnesses told police he fondled a 5-year-old girl in a back yard.

But as police Officer Jennifer Lich looked at Knight, a 5-foot-11, 290-pound 16-year-old wearing Dickies brand shorts, she realized that he resembled the composite sketch of a man wanted for raping a 45-year-old jogger on Monday night.

By Thursday morning, Knight faced a new charge: armed sexual battery. Detective Pete Venero said Knight admitted to encountering the jogger. He told the detective that they had "consensual sex."

The jogger identified a photograph of Knight as her rapist, police said. She had told police that the attacker wore a shirt with lettering similar to the word "Dickies."
Knight also faces a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation in connection with the incident with the 5-year-old. Police said the girl and Knight knew each other but are not related.

The assault on the jogger stunned residents who live near Lassing Park. Police say Knight stalked the jogger and may have followed her for about half a mile along Beach Drive SE. Several people asked Knight what he was doing, according to Sgt. Joanne Lindsay. He told them he was just "exercising," and they didn't call police.

He eventually caught up to the jogger, whose name is being withheld because of the nature of the crime. She tried to run away.

Knight, who had a steak knife, caught her in Lassing Park near 17th Avenue and Beach Drive SE around 9:45 p.m., police said. He forced her into a nearby alley and raped her, police said.

Anita Vienuzis, 44, who lives across the street from the park, heard the jogger scream. She also saw the assailant beat her and say: "I told you to shut up." Vienuzis said she called police, then watched as the man dragged the jogger into an alley. The assailant fled before police arrived.

Knight is in 10th grade at Hamilton Disston, a district center for severely emotionally disturbed children. He has a criminal record that includes arrests on charges of aggravated battery, larceny and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

His stepmother, Tracy Knight, 36, said she was surprised by the charges. She said he made the honor roll regularly. "I'm going by what my son tells me," she said. "He's a good student and tells me that he goes to school. ... I know in my heart of hearts that he wouldn't be capable of doing something like this."

When asked about her son's criminal record, Ms. Knight replied, "Those are minor things ... just the things teenagers do."

Knight lives with his family in the 700 block of 13th Avenue S. On the night the jogger was raped, he told police, he was "wandering around the neighborhood."

Susan Wright, 56, lives across the street from Lassing Park and often walks along Beach Drive SE. She calls herself "fearless" and was thankful that police had arrested a suspect in the rape.

But when she goes out from now on, she plans to carry pepper spray.

NYT Supports Hoaxer, NOT Real Victims

The New York Times' motto is "All the news that's fit to print." But The New York Times really chooses what news to report in accordance with its biased agenda as "higher truth" trumps objectivity.
The phony gang rape story that became the Duke case fit perfectly into that agenda. The accuser (Crystal Gail Mangum) was not telling the truth, the accused (Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty and David Evans) were not guilty of the charges against them and the prosecutor (Durham County, North Carolina District Attorney Michael B. Nifong) was pursuing the case anyway as the way to win a Democrat primary, shamelessly playing the race card, making grossly improper public statements and concealing highly significant exculpatory evidence, but The New York Times wanted the story of race, sex, class and violence to be true (and probably figured it might help turn some red states blue).
But, for the Channon Christian/Chris Newsom case, The New York Times does not have a place.
THAT is yet another disgrace.
Americans should know about the Channon Christian/Chris Newsom case, even if they don't live in or near Knoxville, Tennessee.
On January 9, 2007, Whitney Daniel of CBS affiliate WVLT reported that "a body that was found Tuesday on Chipman Street in East Knoxville" had "been identified as that of 21-year-old Channon Christian," "only blocks away from the area where the body of her boyfriend, 23-year-old Chris Newsom, [had been] found" two days earlier.
On January 13, 2007, the Knoxville News Sentinel's Jamie Satterfield and Don Jacobs reported details of the double slaying.
"They wanted the 4-Runner but wound up taking the lives of a young Knox County couple in brutal fashion, court records made public Friday reveal.
"'Originally the plan was to do a carjacking,' a pal of fatal carjacking suspect Lemaricus Devall Davidson told a federal agent."
Satterfield and Jacobs:
"[I]t ended early Sunday morning in a seedy rental house on Chipman Street, where Christian and Newsom were forced inside at gunpoint, according to state and federal court records.
"Newsom was shot, bound and his body wrapped up in bedding and set afire, according to a search warrant application drafted by Knoxville Police Department Investigator Todd Childress.
"Police would find his body later that day discarded like trash along nearby railroad tracks. Two days passed before Christian's battered body was found stuffed in a trash can in the Chipman Street house where, records show, Davidson and Cobbins had been living."
Horrific, but not the whole story.
Satterfield and Jacobs: "None of the records released Friday indicate how Christian died. Her body wasn't discovered until Tuesday. Authorities have not disputed Knighten's account that she had been raped."
Still not the whole story.
On January 16, 2007, Katie Allison Granju, an NBC affiliate WBIR producer, revealed more details.
"The bodies of the young Knoxville couple were found separately last week. Four men, Lemaricus Davidson, Latalvus Cobbins, George Thomas and Eric Boyd, have been taken into custody as part of the investigation."
But some key details as to the savagery of the crimes being investigated were missing.
If you want them, there are in the University of Maryland student newspaper, in an article by Stefanie Williams, a junior with liberal and feminist credentials as well as personnel knowledge of lacrosse, who approached the Duke case sensibly, instead of sexually or racially, and defended the members of the 2005-2006 Duke University Men's Lacrosse Team against those kidnapping, raping and sexual assault charges and cover up claims when The New York Times was promoting them enthusiastically.
For a better understanding of Ms. Williams, it helps to read her article entitled "All Crimes Are Hate Crimes" published in the University of Maryland's student newspaper on April 7, 2006.
The gist of the article:
"What distinguishes a crime from a hate crime? A hate crime is typically defined as a crime committed against a minority; for example, gay bashing, anti-Semitism or racial discrimination. I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the allegations being presented against Duke's men's lacrosse team. And yes, the media too have slandered this a hate crime. But in the midst of all this white privileged people vs. black underprivileged people, I have to wonder: Aren't all crimes acts of hate?
"I grew up in the most segregated town on Long Island. Yep, almost entirely white. However, unlike most people I grew up with, I like to consider myself a fair and unbiased person when it comes to issues such as race, religion and sexuality. In my world, it doesn't matter if you are black, white, pink or tangerine-orange; we all have to get by and live our lives. Clearly, a lot of people don't agree with me. But when I read about hate crimes, I get infuriated — not because I'm racist by any means, but because I think the majority of racism is created not by our actions but by our categorization of our actions."
On the diabolical double murder, Ms. Williams wrote:
"A Google News search of the names Channon Christian or Christopher Newsom would bring up few mainstream sources. Maybe you'll find a couple of blogs and local stories from Knoxville, but you won't find anything from Fox, CNN or MSNBC.
"Trust me when I say this story is more newsworthy than the Natalie Holloway case, the Duke lacrosse scandal and Anna Nicole Smith combined. A young couple, students from the University of Tennessee, were victims of a carjacking and were kidnapped, raped, tortured and eventually murdered by five people. Descriptions of their deaths were so brutal that I had to read them several times to fully process the implications.
"Newsom was kidnapped, raped and beaten. According to reports, his penis was then cut off before he was shot several times and set on fire, all while his girlfriend watched. His body was then dumped alongside train tracks. Christian was kept alive and gang-raped multiple times over a span of four days. Her breast was cut off while she was still alive and her kidnappers sprayed cleaning fluid into her mouth to cleanse it of DNA. Her body was then put into a garbage can.
"This should have been front- page, prime time news. There is speculation that because all five of the arrested kidnappers were black, and the couple white, this story was swept under the rug. Whatever the case, instead of this legitimate news story, I have been spoon-fed pointless stories about Anna Nicole Smith and the innumerable men she slept with.
"It's the unfortunate truth that the media cherry-pick the news on race. Last year, we saw blanket coverage of Sean Bell, who was shot by plainclothes New York City Police Department detectives, where race became such an unnecessary factor. Even worse was the coverage of the Duke lacrosse case, where very obvious lies were upheld for months.
"It goes beyond the media. In both these cases, prominent politicians such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson rose up in racial condemnation. Members of the Duke faculty even took out an ad in Duke's The Chronicle expressing remorse over the alleged 'social disaster' that took place at the lacrosse house. But no one has so much lifted a finger to condemn such an obvious act of hatred like what happened to Christian and Newsom.
"Tragedy strikes people of all colors, and I think it is imperative that those who print the news as well as those who would claim to seek equality and justice acknowledge that. Christian and Newsom died tragic deaths. Their brutal murders deserved to be acknowledged, and the attackers deserved to be known.
"I can guarantee that I'm not the only one who is suspicious over whether the lack of coverage is a concerted effort to brush the story under the rug. Even if it wasn't, it is a huge fumble not to have reported the case. But if my suspicions are correct, it'll only reinforce a sad truth that I've come to learn: The most devastating and important cases are simply passed over when they don't fit the agenda."
The Knoxville case not only does not fit the agenda of The New York Times and the politically correct crowd, it involves a savagery that dwarfs that of the fabricated savagery in the Duke case.
If the couple was black and the persons allegedly responsible for their barbaric deaths were white, would The New York Times have found room for the story?

The idealistic Ms. Williams emailed me:
"I've been blogging about this case that went on in Knoxville, Tenn...where 2 white kids were kidnapped, tortured, raped and murdered by 4 black men and a black woman...the story was ridiculously gruesome, and I was shocked, SHOCKED to find not ONE main stream media outlet picked it up, not even Fox...

"In a world where our most prominent news outlets spend 8 hours a day talking about who the father of a drugged up porn star ex stripper's child is, it saddens me that true victims like the 2 kids in this case go unnoticed."
In Durham, North Carolina, there recently was another rape claim involving Duke: a white, female Duke student claimed to have been raped by a black man at a fraternity party. The police included the color of the alleged assailant in their description of him, but Durham's News & Observer excised it and published the rest of the description.
Brooklyn College History Professor Robert K.C. Johnson recently wrote with respect to The New York Times' sports reporter Selena Roberts and her Duke case coverage:
"Basic human decency—if not a desire to uphold journalistic integrity—would suggest that a columnist with such a record would issue some sort of mea culpa, an admission that she got the story horribly wrong.
"Instead, last Sunday, Roberts remained as intense in her criticism of players’ character as she had been in March 2006. Now that the case against them has collapsed, she criticized those who linked the case’s outcome to a critique of campus culture—even though, when it looked as if the players were guilty, she herself had enthusiastically made such a linkage. She mocked the 'lacrosse pipeline to Wall Street' even as she herself has chosen to live in a lily white Fairfield County suburb whose median household income is more than $100,000 above the national average."
Amazingly, Professor Johnson seemed surprised as well as disgusted.
Why surprised?
Professor Johnson:
"Basic human decency—if not a desire to uphold journalistic integrity—would suggest that a news division with such a record would issue some sort of mea culpa, an admission that the Times got the story horribly wrong. Yet, incredibly, Wilson remains on the story. Just like Roberts, then, he’s in a position to end the case by maintaining the Times party line while also minimizing his earlier journalistic failures.
"It’s naïve, I suppose, to expect a paper that has been so unfair in its coverage to date would change its approach now. Given what we saw Sunday from Roberts, Times readers should dread what we will see from Wilson if and when charges are dismissed."

This happened in my hometown, not far from where I lived as a child. Back then, that area was all White and relatively crime-free. Now...well, you see what it is like now.

[A three-part series]

Part 1: Blood on the Streets

“Fuck you! You white motherfuckers can’t touch me!” screamed the young black man at the crowd, which fled his menacing advances like leaves before a blower. He was large and muscular, shirtless, and he flexed his muscles like a strongman, fists clenched threateningly. I was standing in front of a lamppost and had no place to retreat to; he ran up to me and bellowed, spittle flying: “You can’t fucking touch me! Don’t even fucking think about it!”

In that brief moment, I caught just a glimpse of what it was like to be the victim of a hate crime — the helpless fear, the peculiar sense of what it’s like to be attacked simply for who you are.

However, the black man and his gang, who clearly were relishing the terror they inflicted on the mostly white faces in the crowd, moved on back to the main throng and left me untouched. I was lucky. Others that night were not.

This was the scene in downtown Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square district in the late hours of February 27, 2001, the culmination of the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration: As some 4,000 revelers packed a four-block stretch of First Avenue that had been closed off by police — who did not venture inside the crowd — roving gangs of young men and a few women, nearly all of them black, prowled through the drunken celebrants and brutally assaulted individuals at random. Nearly all of them were white. The assaults went unchecked for over two hours.

The thugs used brass knuckles, clubs, bottles, nunchucks, mini-bats, even skateboards, but most of all their fists and feet as they bludgeoned and kicked their victims. Most of the time they attacked white people who for some reason were in a vulnerable situation — alone, or cornered against a wall — and most of them were blindsided, often from behind. The attacks were nearly as cowardly as they were brutal.

By the end of the night, one of those victims — a twenty-year-old named Kristopher Kime, a student at suburban Highline Community College — would be beaten to death, and another seventy-two people would wind up hospitalized with serious injuries suffered in the assaults. When the smoke and tear gas had cleared, some twenty-one people had been placed under arrest for a variety of charges; a few weeks later, the number of people identified as suspects in the assaults would climb to over a hundred.

JANE YOUNG: A gorgeous, over-achieving, intelligent, wonderful, amazing person, says her brother Chris.

Hannah Rossiter's mother has a "black hole" where her heart used to be, but still feels sorry for the man charged over her daughter's death.

"They called me at about five to 12 on Saturday night and said Hannah had been in an accident," Sally Rossiter said yesterday.
"I walked through the doors of that hospital just praying she would be OK." But instead, the news was the worst a mother could possibly hear. Hannah, 16, had died of brain injuries sustained when a car ploughed into a crowd outside an out-of-control party on Edgeware Road, St Albans.
Another 16-year-old, Jane Young, also died and 10 others were injured.
Young's family were also talking about her yesterday, saying she would cook dinner for her family and then go out as a sober driver, to bring home her older brother, Chris, from parties where he had been drinking.
"She was 18 months younger than me, but I looked up to her," Chris Young said.
Lipine Sila, 22, a factory hand of Christchurch, has been charged with murdering both girls and appeared in the Christchurch District Court yesterday. Police alleged he was driving the car.
Even in her grief yesterday, Sally Rossiter had thoughts for the driver.
"I feel so sorry for the person who did it," she said.
"Some of these kids get so angry and do stupid things. You wonder how much has been imparted to these kids by the shootings overseas.
"I feel sad there's so much anger and there's so many kids being bullied. Maybe we need to somehow help kids learn that kindness is a better way. I'm sure this came out of anger and frustration."
Hannah had been holding hands with a friend who was thrown to the ground but Hannah bore the full force of the car and received fatal injuries.
Although she was revived at the hospital, doctors told Sally Rossiter her daughter's "massive" brain injuries were so severe she was only being kept alive by machines.
In the early hours of Sunday, Hannah was taken off life support and allowed to slip quietly from life.
Yesterday, Sally Rossiter spoke to The Press of her "beautiful, beautiful daughter", the girl whose beauty was "as much inside as outside".
The face smiling from the picture her mother clutched to her breast showed a radiant teenage girl – blonde, tanned, eyes sparkling with the promise of a life about to be lived.
"She left this world from such a perfect life," Rossiter said.
"She was kind and down-to-earth. She was the type of girl who would go and mend things with her friends. She had a lovely boyfriend, Riley, who is sweet and kind too. Her friends were just the neatest group of kids."
Rossiter said Hannah planned to go to Otago University after school and wanted to travel in her mother's native United States.
"She looked at life like it was adventure."
Hannah was a talented athlete and a valued student at St Margaret's College where she excelled at arts and graphics, Rossiter said.
"She had a certificate on her bedroom wall saying she was basically the exemplary St Margaret's girl.
"She sounds perfect and she was. It's the saddest thing you can imagine."
Hannah's body was "coming home for a few days" before a memorial service at St Margaret's on Friday, she said.
Rossiter said Hannah's friends and their families had rallied around her, as had the school, whose head mistress had visited her in hospital at 3am.
The tragedy had taken a huge toll on the whole family who were "completely shattered". However, despite her grief, Rossiter said she was not angry at the young man behind the wheel of the car.
Jane Young's family said she cooked for her brothers on Saturday night, just hours before she was killed.
Jane's parents, Lorraine and Harry, and her three brothers remain in disbelief over what happened.
"We were shocked, we are shocked. It is difficult to believe," Harry Young said.
Chris Young could not understand why his sister was one of the two killed.
"There was my gorgeous, intelligent, younger sister and then there is this scum. Why did it have to be her?"
Chris Young described her as "very social", caring, sensible and clever.
"I'm usually the one at the party and because I am 18 I can drink. Then she (Jane) will come and sober-drive me home."
Mother Lorraine Young said she had seen her daughter on Saturday and knew she was going to a party and would get in touch with her by text.
"I said the usual, `Keep yourself safe'. She was a sensible girl."
The family moved to New Zealand from England over four years ago and was concerned about an "aggressive culture" that existed in Christchurch.
"We come from a culture where there is binge drinking but we don't start hitting each other.
"It's a shame because most people in Christchurch are lovely people," Harry Young said.
Of the 10 other people injured on Saturday night, two remained in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital's ICU last night.
Detective Senior Sergeant David Harvey said they would not release details of those still critically injured.
However, The Press understood one of those on the critical list was Felicity Tewnion , a Year 12 student from Christchurch Girls' High School.
One of the critically injured people was improving and would be moved out of ICU today, Harvey said.
Three others were in a stable condition and two further people were treated for injuries on Sunday. Five people had been discharged.
A team of 45 investigators and specialists were involved in the case, Harvey said.
They were focusing on identifying people who were around the area of the party in Edgeware Road between Sherbourne and Manchester streets.
Police still had not examined the car, which remained at a Shirley address, Harvey said.
"We are working through each scene as we have the staff, but it will be subject to a forensic examination at some point when we have people to support that."
Police believed the car travelled from Edgeware Road into Sherbourne Street, into Cranford Street then into Westminster Street where it was involved in a second crash, Harvey said.
Christchurch Girls' High School principal Prue Taylor said the school was "shocked" to hear two of its girls were injured in Saturday night's incident.
Yesterday was a difficult day for the students but they had "coped extremely well".
One of the injured girls had just minor injuries and returned to school yesterday, but the second, a Year 12 student, remained in hospital.
"We are hoping for the best for her."
The school's Year 13 formal would go ahead as planned this weekend, she said.

Where is the credible evidence in this is a third-party account quoted? I would see an actual coroner's report or admission by one of the perpetrators as such evidence but little else. This is not meant to discount what is already a capital felony several times over. However, I would like to think that mayhem while living was not part of the terrible ordeal suffered by these kids and do not think truth and justice are served by unsupported allegations that may well be widely discredited in the mainstream media, regardless of the source.

Even with his mother trying to stifle her sobs, Andrew Rogers never looked back into the courtroom as he was formally charged with murder Thursday.

Relatives of the 20-year-old Rogers were seated in one row in the Vanderburgh Circuit courtroom. And in the front row of the courtroom, several people wore purple and black ribbons with a "T" in the middle, in memory of the man Rogers is accused of killing, Thomas Walls, also 20.

Walls, an accomplished hockey and soccer player, died Monday from a stab wound to the neck that investigators allege Rogers inflicted at a party late Saturday. He would have started his junior year as an engineering major at Purdue next week.

Knoxville Horror Trial Dates Set

Those charged in the most gruesome crime of the year will go on trial next year. And after a four-month blackout, the mainstream media have suddenly discovered the case!

The MSM is finally starting, modestly, to report on the Knoxville Horror in Tennessee, even as far from the crime scene as Denver! (A tip o&rsquo; the hat to Modern Tribalist.) On Thursday, Knox County Criminal Court Judge Richard Baumgartner announced that the four black defendants charged in the January 7 Knoxville kidnapping, robbery, gang-rapes, murders of, and thefts of property belonging to Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23, both of whom were white, will each have a separate trial, each of which Judge Richard Baumgartner foresees as lasting two weeks. (Judge Baumgartner is being perhaps a tad optimistic in his estimates.) The state indictments can all be read here. Newsom was anally gang-raped, and then murdered several hours after being kidnapped; Christian was vaginally, orally, and anally gang-raped, and murdered approximately 24 hours after the couple was kidnapped. At one point, one or more of the defendants allegedly also poured cleaning fluid down the presumably then still living Christian&rsquo;s throat, but a false report by Michelle Malkin notwithstanding, none of the defendants has been charged with torture. George Geovonni Thomas, 24, is charged with having shot Newsom to death and set his corpse on fire. Christian may have been strangled. (See this story on the stonewalling campaign by authorities in Knoxville.) And as reported on February 1 by Knoxville&rsquo;s WATE 6 News, at least one of the killers dismembered Christian, placing her body parts in five separate garbage bags and putting the bags in a garbage can in the kitchen of the apartment of defendant-brothers Letalvis Darnell Cobbins, 24, and Lemaricus Devall Davidson, 25, where police found the bags. After the February 1 report, the dismemberment of Channon Christian was no longer included in any of the articles this reporter has seen; I only came into the possession of the aforementioned report on May 17, thanks to a reader&rsquo;s help. It is not known whether the killers murdered Christian first, or began dismembering her while she was still alive, something for which there is a precedent among black racist torture-killers of whites. Ex-con Letalvis Cobbins, alias Letalvis Davidson (convicted of felony third-degree attempted robbery on May 19, 2003, in Queens, NY &ndash; hey, today&rsquo;s his anniversary!), is scheduled for trial on May 12, 2008. Cobbins is indicted on 46 Tennessee state felony counts, including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated rape, felony murder, premeditated murder and theft. Cobbins&rsquo; girlfriend, Vanessa Coleman, 18, was indicted on 40 state felony counts, including aggravated rape, felony murder, and premeditated murder. In a touching courtroom moment on Thursday, according to WVLT-TV 8 reporter Gordon Boyd, Coleman mouthed the words, &ldquo;I love you&rdquo; as she was led out.&rdquo; Coleman was referred to in initial reports as a &ldquo;witness&rdquo; rather than as a suspect, and was a source of much material that eventually went into the case against her and her fellow defendants. An able defense attorney would try and spin Coleman&rsquo;s cooperation into a mitigating factor at trial, and if she is convicted, during the sentencing phase. (Although Tennessee is a death-penalty state, Knox County District Attorney General Randy Nichols has inexplicably refused to reveal whether he will seek the death penalty.) How loving Cobbins is presently feeling about Coleman&rsquo;s cooperation with federal agents and local police may be another matter entirely. Cobbins&rsquo; ex-con brother, Lemaricus Davidson (convicted of federal carjacking charges in 2001, he served but a token sentence), is charged with the same 46 counts as Cobbins, and is scheduled to go on trial on July 14. (According to published reports, Eric Dewayne Boyd, 34, told federal agents that Davidson confessed to him that he had murdered Channon Christian.) Ex-con George Thomas, likewise indicted on the same 46 counts, is scheduled for trial on August 11, 2008. Ex-con Eric Boyd has been charged federally, in U.S. District Court in Knoxville, with &ldquo;being an accessory after the fact to carjacking,&rdquo; for having allegedly helped Cobbins and Thomas flee apprehension to neighboring Lebanon, KY, where a local-county-state-federal interagency task force arrested the three without a struggle. Boyd&rsquo;s trial date has yet to be set. Boyd has not been charged with any of the state crimes. (Michelle Malkin also erroneously reported that Boyd was charged in the murders, kidnappings, and rapes of Christian and Newsom.) Cobbins, Davidson, and Thomas, were also charged federally with carjacking and two counts of federal weapons felonies, but at the request of the U.S. Attorney&rsquo;s office, a federal judge dismissed the federal charges &ldquo;without prejudice,&rdquo; meaning that they may later be reinstated, so that the Tennessee state prosecutions may go forward first. Having separate, consecutive trials offers potential advantages to prosecutors. Earlier defendants may seek to impute all guilt for the crimes they are charged with upon defendants who have yet to be tried, and may provide a wealth of information that can be used against their alleged accomplices. Or they could simply be fonts of misinformation and lies. For an example of such gamesmanship in the present case, when Letalvis Cobbins and George Thomas were initially apprehended in Lebanon, KY, they reportedly claimed in affidavits to federal agents that Eric Boyd, the man who had allegedly helped them escape capture in Knoxville, was in fact the rapist-murderer. So much for loyalty or gratitude. It is not known whether Cobbins or Thomas has of late made any public expressions of love to Boyd. On May 18, &ldquo;Christopher Felon,&rdquo; one of the contributors to the black supremacist Web site, Svengali Media, which celebrates all black-on-white racist atrocities, and has celebrated the rapes, tortures, and murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, left the following two comments to my last column on the Christian-Newsom case: christopherfelon said, Many blacks are pulling for Knoxville's 'SuperThug' &amp; Carjacker Lemaricus Davidson to win the 2007 Sexiest &amp; Hardest Ghetto Black Male Felon Bragging Rights competition for 2007. Others are still on the sideline as to whether it was appropriate for the competition editor, Kirkland Perkins, to waive the rapist disqualification rule and invoke the 'Emit Till' excuseable rape clause so Davidson and his brother could compete. I soundly support Savannah's 'Slave Avenger' Michael 'Turtle' Thorpe. The family of Thorpe's victim, Jennifer Ross, owned slaves and never paid their reparations. This is keenly why Thorpe is Perkins *favorite* to win the 2007 Rights. Voting online's been added. And it is exciting that Knoxville's George 'Detroit' Thomas received enough votes to qualify to compete! Officials say the suspect and victim met on the Internet

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas *--* An early morning traffic stop lead to the arrest of a man police say sexually assaulted at 14-year-old boy he met on the Internet.

Sean Caruthers, 38, faces four counts of sexual assault of a child.

A Friendswood police officer stopped Caruthers on Friendswood Drive around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The officer found the driver had no proof of ownership of the vehicle, and continued to question the driver and his 14-year-old male passenger.

Police say the teen made an outcry to the officers on the scene and stated the older man had sexually assaulted him.

During questioning, it was determined the two first met on the Internet and then in person several times after.

Investigators believe four separate incidents of sexual activity between the two occurred over time.
