Cook's tour tries to win back Muslim vote
Robin Cook, the former foreign secretary, has become an unlikely cheerleader for Tony Blair by embarking on a nationwide campaign to persuade Muslims to vote Labour in next year's general election. Amid fears that the government will be damaged by a Muslim backlash against the Iraq war, Mr Cook has answered pleas from a series of Labour MPs to visit mosques in their constituencies. As a highly credible figure among Muslims, after he became the only cabinet minister to resign on the eve of the conflict, Mr Cook has attempted to persuade them to put their objections to the war to one side and to remember what Labour has done for deprived communities.

So Labour cares more about the Muslim vote, than that of white people, seems like they have got their priorities right! Anyway i can't see that many Muslims voting Labour now due to the Iraq war, the Muslim block vote is backing Respect nowadays.
