Default Hey the BNP is making waves!

UK: Labour Party Fearful of Pro-White BNP
Report; Posted on: 2003-12-23 11:00:38 [ Printer friendly ]

A Labour Party Member said last Thursday that the British National Party (BNP) must be “vigorously opposed” in Northern Ireland, reports Dan McGinn, Ireland Political Editor, Press Association News: “Trades unionist Andy McGivern [pictured], who this year became the first person in Ulster to become a member of the Labour Party after it lifted its ban in October, condemned BNP plans to contest the 2005 local government elections.

Following the visit this week of BNP leader Nick Griffin to east Belfast, Mr McGivern, a member of the GMB union’s national race committee, accused the far right party of trying to dupe voters. ‘The BNP is trying to portray itself in Northern Ireland as some sort of cross community party with socialist values,’ he said. ‘The reality is that it is a radical right wing party which is racist in the extreme.’” The pro-White BNP wants to retain Britain as a homeland for the native Welsh, Irish, English and Scots, and has put forward a voluntary repatriation program that compensates non-Whites who agree to resettlement.

Press Association: “Nick Griffin said on Monday that the British National Party hoped to run at least five candidates in Northern Ireland’s council elections. A candidate in north Antrim has already been selected. The BNP leader claimed the grouping had already attracted significant support from serving police officers and soldiers in Northern Ireland. He also said that as the peace process bedded down, Northern Ireland could be overrun by immigrants. ‘Once the physical and psychological barrier presented by the Troubles is lifted, this place is going to play catch-up double quick,’ he said.

“’If we are around and organised it may well deter established politicians from carrying out some policy of enforced multi-culturalism.

“’In the case of Northern Ireland there’s a possibility of holding the line for a bit longer.’”
