Asshole ragging on the Duggars
Now honestly the last thing I would want to do is have 20 kids, but if some white family wants to do that, then more power to them.
Today while I was in the post office sitting in the back making out money orders, I could hear some asshole at the front of the line complaining loudly about the Duggar family and saying " what does he do for a living and how does he pay for them". Undoubtedly insinuating that they are on public assistance. Now I had wondered that myself, not because I wouldn't want them to have it, just wondering if they did why some liberals hadn't whined about it yet. Well i found out they don't, they are thrifty and they also work for what they have. Well when the guy came out I was also leaving and I asked him " are you the guy who was talking about the Duggars?"He said "yes" and I told him that they were not on public assistance. He said " what does he do" and I told him that I had forgotten the business but that he and the family were independent.....he snickered and so I said, " you know, even if they were on welfare I wouldn't mind paying for it because their children are not going to grow up to be rapists, murderers and thieves like so many of the big families in the inner cities ( meaning nonwhite of course). He said " so you are going to stick up for them?" and I said yes and I bet you wouldn't have the balls to complain about them if they were a nonwhite family". He got in his car all pissed, and I yelled at him as he "tried" to peal out, " if you don't want a debate keep your yap shut and don't talk so loud in the post office bucko" I hate it when people talk loud and make everyone hear them and then act put out when someone like me responds. I was at the back of the office, far away from him and he was talking so loud everyone could hear him. |

I don't know what he does for a living either, but he never accepted 'assistance' and they have no debt, and he built that house himself. So, whatever he does, he must make a pretty good wage to not even need to borrow from the banks. And instead of spending all that money on cars and speed boats or whatever toys upper middle class people like to buy, they had a big family.
I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with that, then again, I'm the sort that minds my own business with things like that. |

I'm a huge fan of the show, and I generally love the family and how they act. The kids don't watch a ton of TV, they don't spend money on useless electronic junk, and they just seem to have really good attitudes about everything.
It says in the intro of the show that he owns a lot of commercial real estate he rents out to make money. He would probably be able to have a huge mansion and summer home, yacht...whatever if he had only had one or two kids. But the family decided living modestly with more family members is better than living rich and wastefully with fewer. But, that's not to say I agree with everything. They're hardcore Christians. The girls can't wear pants on the basis of it not being modest, which is stupid. I don't agree with the "quiverfull" movement...leaving it all up to God is ridiculous. They also go on mission trips to mud countries (they let their daughter and son go alone) to preach to the non-whites. Also this video...disgusting. *Sigh* if only they weren't such nutty Christians, they'd be totally awesome. |
