The U. S. paper money, the dollar, is getting increasingly worthless. Previously kept in 1.15-1.30 USD/EUR corridor by informal agreements, it now fell below the floor. The FRS used all of the repo limits, it was entitled to under central bank agreements, only to see the dollar appreciate modestly but still staying below the floor level. The U. S. delegations of politicians and economic officials flew all over to the EU, Russian and China to ask for increase in repo limits, only to be told resolute “no”. Neither EU, nor Russia no China is inclined to increase the amount of reserves they hold in dollars or to increase purchases of the U. S. government securities, and even OPEC countries are refusing to take them as payment for their oil – the natural consequence of putting a zionist jew in charge of country’s finances.

But the democrats that are currently running the U. S. are refusing to admit guilt and take necessary painful measures to put the economy in order. Instead they are starting a massive witch-hunt against the industrious individuals who are rescuing their savings from inflation. Laws against offshore accounts, “money laundering”, “currency debasement” (a.k.a. anti-mint melting laws) etc. are adopted every year with even stricter penalties by U. S. democratic legislature. The von Mises Institute has recently made available a small yet excellent lecture by Dr. Andrew White, a distinguished American scholar of general and economic history. Written at the beginning of the 20th century, it depicted the process and consequences of inflation in democratic France in 1790-1797 – something that awaits democratic America in the near future. I recommend everyone to read this lecture, to protect one’s property and life-savings and prepare for the things to come. It is available here: http://mihd.net/2neqrh

Being a Republican, I have always welcomed those colored statesmen, who were ruling their lands in the Republican tradition: not provoking flows of invaders or threatening White lands, but focusing instead on the betterment of their people and flourishment of their culture and traditions. Yet, there are fewer and fewer such people around, and they often die in strange circumstances. Today, one of such Republican statesmen died – Serdar (Supreme Ruler) of Turkmen People Sapurmurat Turkmen-Bashi (Father of all Turkmen) the Great.

Sapurmurat Turkmen-Bashi was a man of many talents. Having been born in a modest Turkmen family, and having lost his father in the 2nd World War and his mother and the rest of family in earthquake he was placed into the orphanage, but huge technical abilities allowed young Sapurmurat to enter one of the best technical universities of the former soviet union – Leningrad Polytechnic Institute. He became a certified power engineer, and later worked at many power installations in Turkmenistan and eventually entered political career. In 1985 he was appointed as the Head of Turkmenistan, and later in 1990 President of Turkmenistan.

After the fall of the soviet union, Sapurmurat Turkmen-Bashi started the ambitious program of economic and social reforms, aimed at catching with other countries of the region. The starting conditions were appalling: Russian communists bled the country, rich in oil and gas reserves dry, so that Turkmen have no food stores left, and hunger and death from starvation were a common occurence. Sapurmurat Turkmen-Bashi asked for economic advice, and after large discussion decided on modern Republican model – authoritarian state with free market economy. The powers of the state were strengthened so as to disallow the democrats, foreign and domestic, from profiting out of Turkmenistan’s natural riches at the expense of Turkmen people. Most of the property was privatized into Turkmen hands, except for large oil and gas enterprises that remain state property. An important achievement of Turkmen-Bashi was his Republican foreign policy of strict neutrality – non participation in various economic and political pacts, while promoting good relations and trade with everyone, especially Western companies. All this yielded impressive results: national income increased five-fold, new capital, railroads and industrial enterprises were built, the country became self-sufficient in grain and meet production, unemployment remained low and inflation contained.

Personally, having enjoyed long and prosperous business relationship with Turkmen partners, and having visited Turkmenistan, I can state that this is one of few colored places were White people are still liked and respected. Turkmen partners are reliable, Turkmen goods inexpensive and of good quality, and thus a good deal for the customer. Having interacted with the people from the former soviet union, I was surprised by cheerful and confident Turkmen faces and behavior and the good mores of the population: it is a rare place where it is safe to walk at night. Turkmenistan seemed to go from success to success: no wonder, the country generated practically zero flow of migrant invaders albeit common criminals, running from justice, and Turkmen enjoyed one of the lower crime and incarceration rate in the world. It is true that Sapurmurat Turkmen-Bashi ruled the country in accordance to Asian values, ways and traditions, yet that was the right thing to do and it brought good results.

Yet any successful Republican is not without enemies. Jewish oligarchs from Russia, Turkmenistan democrat thieves and some of more bossy American companies were unable to exploit Turkmenistan huge natural wealth for their advantage, which was used to better Turkmenistan and its population. So they decided to murder Turkmen-Bashi and change the political system in Turkmenistan: in 2002 Russian jew thug turned lying democratic “journalist” and half-Russian former democratic prime-minister of Turkmenistan, removed by Turkmen-Bashi, staged a coup attempting to murder Serdar. They failed, and the following investigation led to capture of most of conspirators and revealed the links between them and governments of Russia, Uzbekistan and United States, which supported the coup. To the credit of Turkmen-Bashi he hasn’t condemned any of the conspirators to death, strictly in accordance with recommendations of the appropriate United Nation commission. Yet his enemies continued their attempts, and the last of them succeeded: according to the preliminary information I received he is likely to be poisoned, with tail leading to Russian jewish “oligarchs”, unhappy with his policies. Now, without Sapurmurat Turkmen-Bashi, the jewish vultures would be able to exploit Turkmen oil and gas reserves again, put the country under Russian control, and mercilessly rob the natives of their possession. Thus the story of Turkmenistan is the classical story of failed development, initiated by a Great Republican Statesman and interrupted by foreign interests, inimical to country’s prosperity and leading to one more of at best colonial, and at worst, failed state.

The decline of the economy of the United States is not left unnoticed: from time to time books and articles on the subject appear that summarize the main characteristics of the process and offer informed guesses about the future. The Swiss gentleman, Marc Faber, recently offered an article with his observations, available here: http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig6/faber2.html.

He summarizes American decline alongside the following main points:

- The deterioration of physical infrastructure. The physical infrastructure in the United States is in a badly wanting state: e.g. for aviation industry the number of flights is totally inadequate, many flights are cancelled because of the shortage of the qualified personal, industry is unable to provide either security or sequence on the scheduled flights. The hotel staff is untrained, overworked and unable to adequately serve the customer. Car roads are in a bade shape, while railroads are inexistent, and bus coverage inadequate. The roads everywhere, except rich enclaves, are dirty.
- The popping up of carious speculative schemes. The U. S. financial industry is long decoupled from real economy, and is constantly promoting speculative schemes of the various kinds. As a result, the debt level are dangerously high in government, corporations and households, and currency is constantly weakening.
- The gap between rich and poor. The middle class in America is disappearing, living in its place very rich and very poor, which indicate the forthcoming strife along class and racial lines. The wages of the workingman are significantly below European levels, and do not allow for middle class lifestyle any more. The very rich however, are more and more detached from the lives of the majority of population: they live in the gated communities, move in private means of transportation and use private service establishments, which in turn weakens their interest and dependence upon country’s and people’s future.
- The disappearance of manufacturing. Most newly created jobs and fortunes are in services, which would be unable to create sufficient value added or sufficient number of middle income jobs to support sustained economic growth.

How would the process of decline be unwinding? In Mr. Faber’s view, the decline would be a slow one, started with the credit crunch, followed in crises in low-end and eventually high-end retailing. While the inflationary policies of the U. S. government may alleviate the process, they would be unable to change the direction or dynamics of it. Thus to profit from American decline, Mr. Faber suggest short term purchasing of securities of producers and retailers of luxuries items, with medium to long term shortening of their stocks. In my humble opinion, the strategy makes sense.

The recent economic successes of the Republican President Ahmadi Nejab in Iran were not noted by the lying democratic media: yet they are undeniable. Disposable income of the poorest Iran citizens increased more than 14% during 2006, the GDP growth rate is above 7%, the unemployment rate is down nearly 4%, inflation is still contained. The construction of nuclear power plants, that is entering the final stage, would free significant amounts of oil and gas for exports, further increasing the positive trade balance, and budget surplus, as well as would create thousands of well paid jobs in the industry for young Iranians. Iranian export proceeds are denominated in euros and thus fully insured from the dollar’s decline. Thus transition to the nuclear paradigm is paying off immediately and handsomely. Unfortunately, the U. S. government is still refusing even contemplate it, and appeared beholden to the special interests of democratic ecumenists.

Default My New Year Wish

As the war drags on and the jews, masons and democarts expand its reach in nearly every area of life, I'm detecting another moment of despair sweeping through White Nationalist ranks. Why aren't all our efforts making a difference? What are we doing wrong? Are we just wasting our time with our publications, conferences, pickets, letters to editors, vast web presence, recruitments of thousands of activists? Have the outreach to Our People ever made any difference? There are a thousand reasons to object to this line of thought. Let us speak to the moral and strategic ones directly. Despair is a vice that squelches and defeats the Aryan spirit. Hope, on the other hand, creates and builds. It is true in business, sports, and intellectual life. We must see success in the future in order to achieve it.

Dr Pierce used to wonder why people who believe that White Homeland is unachievable or that activism of any sort is futile became White Nationalists in the first place. Would a team that is convinced that it will lose every game practice or come together at all? Would a businessman who is convinced that he or she will go bankrupt ever invest a dime? Perhaps you could say that a person has no choice but to follow the Truth even when it is obvious that failure is inevitable. And truly there is some virtue in doing so. But as a practical matter, it makes no sense to waste one's time doing something that is futile when one could be doing something that is productive and at least potentially successful. So should White Nationalist activists be doing something else with their time?

Here is the crucial matter to consider. What might have been the fate of Our Race if no one had cared about it in the last 100 years? That is an important way to look at this issue, one that accords with the emphasis on looking not only at the seen but also at the unseen. I ask that we look at the unseen benefits of activism on the part of the White Race. We need to look at the communism and socialism that we do not experience, and what the world would be like if it weren't for the efforts of White Nationalists. We need an angel like Clarence to show us that world that might have been.

Less than a century ago, in White countries, the left was in its heyday. Socialism was the intellectual fashion, even more so than today. The income tax was seen as the answer to fiscal woes. Inflation and central banking would solve our problems with money. World war would end tyranny, or so that generation believed. If that trend had continued, we would have had communism right here at home. If the left had had its way — and the left is always happy with more power and money — there would have been no zone of freedom left to us, and we would live as people have always lived when the communists controlled every aspect of life: in the absence of civilization. It would have been a catastrophe.

But it didn't happen. Why? Because White Nationalists objected, and they kept objecting for the remainder of the century. Public outrage at the income tax led to keeping a lid on it. Inflation was kept in check by intellectuals who warned of the effects of central banking. Free speech has also been protected through WN activism. Reality conformed more closely to the critic's views than to the proponent's views. We won.

Again, what we need to take into account are the unseen benefits of activism. Had the advocates of White Nationalism never spoken up, never written books or letters to editors, and never advanced their views in any public or private forum, would the cause of White Nationalism have been better off or the same? No way. You have to do the counterfactual in order to understand the impact of ideology. Nationalist ideology, in all its forms, has helped to save the world from communism, which always and everywhere wants to advance and never roll back. If it does not advance and if it does roll back (however rarely), it is to the credit of public ideology.

Don't think for a second that it doesn't matter. Most of the time the impact is hard to measure and even sometimes hard to detect. White Nationalist ideas are like stones dropping into water, which make waves in so many directions that no one is sure where they come from. But there are times when VNN has made a direct hit, and we know from personal testimony that we've caused democratic politicians to fly into a rage at what we are saying and what we are doing: the public debate on immigration has entirely shifted, the state is terrified to touch the internet for fear of public hostility. If you think public opinion doesn't matter to these people, think again. They are terrified about the impressions the public has of their work. They can be completely demoralized by public opposition.

Again let me ask the question: does anyone really believe that our precious rights and liberties are best protected when there is no public advocacy of the White Nationalist cause? Would Bush feel more or less secure in the continued conduct of his war of aggression if the our antiwar propaganda shut up and dried up? When measuring the success of the White Nationalist movement, these are the sorts of questions we have to ask. It is not enough to observe that the world has yet to conform to our image. We need to take note of the ways in which the world has not conformed to the jewish, masonic and democratic image. Every democratic state wants to control all spheres of life. If it does not do so, the major reason is that freedom-minded activists are making the difference. If it were otherwise, why would the democratic state care so intensely about suppressing ideas with which it disagrees? Why would there be political censorship? Why would the democrats bother with propaganda at all?

Ideas matter. More than we know. Why haven't we won? Because we are not doing enough and our ranks are not big enough. We need to do what we are doing on ever-grander scales. We need to make ever-better arguments on behalf of White Race. And we need to have patience, just like the communists and socialists had patience to see their agenda to the end. They've had their day. Our time will come, provided that we don't listen to the counsel of despair. The angel Clarence says in It's a Wonderful Life that "Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" It's something for anyone who advocates White Nationalism to think about before he bails out.

Study after study show, that feminism is very bad for the health of American women and girls, and often result in serious illnesses, or even suicide. This is the thesis of a new scholarly book, written by a pshychologists, who conducted numerous studies in U. S. and Canadian colleges and universities, that led her to this conclusion, yet shed decided to remain anonimous, for fear of retribution from humanistic profs. More information is available here:

Our race developed under conditions where abstract money wasn't a high level value. Civilization may have depended on that abstraction, but not our biology.

Spiritually, rather deoxyribonucleic acidly, Aryans are millenia behind the Middle Eastern trade corridor race we know and despise.

Let us not envy the prowess of the jews in manipulating the assignment of mathematical value to the fruits of Aryan inspiration and perrspiration.

Let us value the eternal portfolio diversification. Spreading our genes to other solar systems. Divestiture from deadly kikes.

The recent discussion on minimal wage demonstarted, among other things, that still only a few WN can explain why a minimal wage rise would be harmful for White employment ot more generally, how labor market functions. Therefore, I've posted a simple but excellent introduction to the mechanics of labor market written by a respected American economist, F Harper, for those ineterested in how to increase real wages of White workers. It is available here: http://mihd.net/hb4xfw.

You are correct. I have been following your market advice for years. You are the best WN financial commentator, in my humble opinion, comrade.

Your dollar observations here are correct. I've been following and mostly just reading your post for years, comrade. Your monetary advice is far better than what I used to see on Stormfront. It is very good we now have you on VNN.

Do you see Russia or Eastern Europe offering a Rommel Gold Dollar any time soon?
Would the central bank of Latvia or Estonia consider buying the WN Romel Gold dollar, under condition it had the highest quality engravings of Her Field Marshall Erwin Rommel.

Patton gold dollar. That would be good too. The General Patton WN gold dollar, bought and supported by the central banks of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, and China. The Hong Kong banks would support very well the Gold Aryan dollar series.

To start it out with bullet proof media armor, General Patton, then Admiral Forrestal. Remember the Chinese fought the Japanese and were US Allies. So the big pro-gold Hong Kong banks would give a big thumbs up to Patton (just don't suggest a MacArthur golden eagle, just yet).

Great solid advice here, comrade.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement for my modest abilities, Comrade. It is truly rewarding to see that the effort I put in providing free and reliable basic investment advice for respected VNN readers is helpful to them, and help them to avoid the claws of jewish and masonic usurers and speculators, willing to defraud them from their hard-earned savings.

Speaking of more elaborate medallions, we may do them in the future. I considered a more elaborate design for our Aryan dollar coin, but decided aginst is, since otherwise we would have to charge for it 60% more than the physical metal in it costs. Perhaps we could put a protrait of our Great Leaders on the 1 onze gold coin, but this, as I said is more of the question of the future.

Speaking of the central banks of the region, they do issue gold and silver coins with portraits of various dignitaries. Some countries even put the portraits of their 2nd World War leaders on such coins, but political change is required to put national monetary systems on a healthy commodity footing and to issue national currency in the way you speak of.

Default The act of war

I am very sad today, and the reason is simple: yesterday the new world war, the 3rd one has begun. In Iraq, a platoon of Iraqi mercenaries under the direct command of the United States has kidnapped the high-ranking Iranian diplomat, thus committing act of war against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This put in sequence the chain of events, that s likely to lead to the 3rd world war, much more devastating, that the world has seen, and nuclear in nature.

Sharafi, the kidnapped Iranian diplomat, was traveling around Baghdad Sunday evening with two colleagues, the Iranian officials said. During the kidnap Sharafi's colleagues escaped and notified police, and that police and the abductors exchanged gunfire during a brief clash. Four Iraqis involved in the kidnapping Sunday evening of diplomat Jalal Sharafi were arrested on the crime scene and interrogated by Iraqi police, according to two Iranian officials in Baghdad. The detained Iraqis, who wore military uniforms and carried military identification cards, were "not under the Ministry of Defense control, they were directly connected to the American control," said an official at the Iranian Embassy who spoke on condition of anonymity. The Iranian official condemned the disappearance of Sharafi, whom they identified as a second secretary at the embassy in Baghdad, and said his abduction was part of the Bush administration's effort to counter Iranian influence in Iraq. "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers it a responsibility of U.S. forces in Iraq to protect members of the diplomatic community, including Iranian diplomats, and will hold them responsible for obtaining the release of the abducted Iranian diplomat," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini told the Islamic Republic News Agency.

Kidnapping a sovereign country’s diplomat is under international law an act of war that gives Islamic Republic of Iran unconditional right to attack the United States, and compels the U. N. and the international community to assist it in fighting the U. S. aggression. Given the strict adherence of the Iranian President Ahmedi Nejab to the tenets of his Faith and the ideals of the Islamic Republic, that demand revenge against such offense against Islamic Republic and its people, it is likely that Islamic Republic of Iran will start attacking American interest in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East. The growing strength of Iraqi Resistance Movement indicates that Iran is quietly assisting it for some time, bringing it more and more victories against American aggressors – and what would happen when hundreds of Islamic revolutionary guards, well armed with Russian arms and committed to the Faith and Revolution will join the struggle? It is easy to foresee, that American cutthroats, demoralized and unwilling to fight would be defeated at ease, and the whole American army destroyed. This in turn would give the U. S. democratic government pretext to use nuclear weapons against Iran and other enemies of democracy: the pretext that they currently do not have. And the 3rd world war, the nuclear war will start.

Last Sunday was the beginning of this war. Nor shots have been so far fired, nor armies mobilized: but the invisible forces that will fight each other are already in action, and cannot be stopped. In spring at earliest or in autumn at the latest, the war is likely to become full fledged, bringing the world with it to the precipice of the horrors of war, and even darker horrors of the worldwide totalitarian state that will emerge out of it. Domini, ab aeterna damnatione nos eripi.

Excellent post. The signature line I have used from Hunter S. Thompson says it in a simple way, "Big dark, coming soon".

Though I am no longer a Mass attending Catholic, fdtwainth, I join in your plea that that God rescue us from eternal damnation.

Default Soaking the feminist dry

A new jewish trick to rob a feminist White women has been discovered: recent research, conducted by a Merrill Lynch economist, substantiated a thesis, that there is indeed exists a gap between consumer inflation rates, faced by men and women.

Analyzing last year U. S. CPI data, jewish economist David Rosenberg found, that the prices of consumer items, weighted heavily in women’ consumer baskets (like jewelry, cosmetics, perfume and women apparel), have risen 3.6% the last year in comparison with 0.2% last year price increase for consumer items, weighted heavily in men’s consumer baskets (auto parts, men clothing and shoes, sporting goods) – and the gap is widening as of beginning of 2007. The factors explaining the disparity are greater employment and income growth among women, especially White, and lower marriage and childbearing rates: and single women tend to spend a much higher portion of their income on themselves than single men do.

Looking at the data, it is impossible to ignore the fact that jews are significantly overrepresented in most industries with primarily female customers as cosmetics, perfume and jewelry – and all these industries are all primarily driven by advertisement agencies, a thoroughly jewish-led and jewish-dominated ventures since at least the 1970s. The prices of these industries’ products often exceed costs by a factor of dozens – and they are increasing fast Thus, by discarding a man, who restrained her conspicuous, and to a large part, unproductive consumption, a feminist White woman has become an ideal object of exploitation for a jewish trader, who, unsatisfied of robbing her of her future, is soaking her dry.

Default On American national character: an answer to Fred Reed

It yields significant intellectual pleasure to identify and correct a faulty line of reasoning, as in case with this article, written by Mr. Fred Reed and available here: http://www.vanguardnewsnetwork.com/?p=1542. Below is my commentary (in brackets):

One hears much admiration from politicians of the American “national character,” by which seems to be meant the aggregate of prevailing values of the majority of the population. I gather that Americans tend to regard their national character as comprising such things as freedom, independence, individualism, and self-reliance. One thinks of Daniel Boone or Marlboro Man. In fact we no longer have these qualities and probably never will again.

(Fred Reed perhaps does not have them, but many other prominent and successful Americans do)

Generally we now embody their opposites.

(A generalization, unsupported by evidence)

Modern society has become a hive of largely conformist, closely regulated and generally helpless employees who depend on others for nearly everything.

(A misleading term “employee” is used here to detract attention from the profound occupation shift the U. S. underwent since 1980s. In fact, if we look at U. S. occupation structure, compiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, we’ll see that more than a third of U. S. workforce is currently in managerial and specialist occupations that can easily be converted into private practice – and the share of such jobs is growing rapidly since mid-1980s. Further quarter of workforce constitutes self-employed individuals, fishers and farmers. Add these two categories, and you’ll see that a majority of American labor can easily become independent contractors again; they don’t do that because of repressive tax and regulatory regimes, and whenever it is loosened up, the tendency to independent contractorship, characteristic of free-market economy, reinforces itself. Interestingly, even illegal unregulated labor is hired generally as independent contractors, as economic theory would suggest, thus disproving Reed’s argument that modern society is indeed a “hive of helpless employees”)

The cause is less anything particularly Americans than the technology that governs our lives. The United States just moves faster in the direction in which the civilized world moves.

(The lives of rational human beings are governed by principles, not technology. Technology could help, but I doubt most Americans care that much about each new technological fad available)

Character springs from conditions.

(A faulty 18th century Montesquieu-like premise, that has been disproved in the 19th century already. In fact, character is 80% hereditary and only 20% of it spring from environment)

Consider a farmer in, say, North Carolina in 1850. He was free because there was little government,

(An incorrect inversion of cause and effect. In fact the reverse is true: there was little government in North Carolina because most farmers, as well as American elites, cruelly oppressed and persecuted in Europe, cherished the value of Freedom)

self-reliant because what he couldn’t do for himself didn’t get done,

(Again, incorrect premise, that demonstrates Reed’s ignorance of American history. American farmer could have bought a relatively large selection of tools and equipment, and many do precisely this. These tools however weren’t cheap; so it made sense to make them on one’s own instead of purchasing them)

independent because, apart from a few tools, he made or grew all he needed,

(Again, the inversion of cause and effect. A farmer mad or grew nearly all that he needed (and purchase some tools on the market), because he was independent in spirit)

and an individualist because, there being little outside authority, he could do as he pleased.

(See above explanation for the chronic Reed’s mistake)

All of that is gone, and will not return.

(Typical defeatist propaganda: all of this will return, or things broke down in America. Civilization is a fragile creation, and if the necessary preconditions for it - freedom, independence, individualism, and self-reliance – are not met, the world will return into savagery)

Freedom has given way to an infinite array of laws, rules, regulations, licenses, forms, requirements.

(Because first, the humanistic teachers and profs agitated for decades against freedom, independence, individualism, and self-reliance, poisoning the minds of the general public. Freedom declines were educated citizenry diminishes, and that’s precisely what has happened in the U. S.)

Many make sense, may even be desirable in a complex world, don’t necessarily make for a bad life, but they cannot be called freedom. Various governments determine what our children learn, whether we can paint the shutters, who we must sell our houses to, who we can hire, what we can say if we want to keep our jobs, where we can park, and whether and how we can build an outbuilding.

(In fact, most regulations do not make sense, because their costs is higher than effects that are obtained by them. Repealing all U. S. laws and regulations from 1913 on will improve not diminish the standards of living in America)

People who live infinitely controlled lives become accustomed to such control. Obedience becomes natural. And so it has.

(That’s a correct observation. The problem is, however, that controls destroy the economy and lower standards of living, which in turn provokes wholesale rejection of laws and controls – and that’s what we should be aimed at)

Although we speak of democracy, in fact we have little influence over the circumstances of our lives.

(Precisely as political theory would suggest. Democracy is tyranny by majority rule, and people’s impact diminishes under tyranny)

All matters of importance—what values our children are taught, for example–are determined by remote bodies over which we have no power.

(Because the generation of baby boomers to which Mr. Fred Reed himself belongs was complacent, and the government used this unfortunate complacency to its own advantage. Our generation is not complacent: we are going to take back what Fred Reed’s generation has lost)

When jurisdictions are large, the effort needed to change things that powerful lobbies do not want changed is prohibitive.

(The effort is indeed painstaking, but the objective is reachable as the experience of Mr. Ward Connolly’s Equal Rights Initiative demonstrate. General baby boomer is passive, and thus looses; general X-er is active and thus wins, no matter how high the barrier is)

And of course we vote for candidates, not for policies. Once elected, they do as they please.

(The lying democratic politicians, yes they are such; the honest republican statesmen are different. The less we are going to listen to lying democratic journalists as Fred Reed, the more we would be able to notice these statesmen, who do not generally seek publicity, associated with politics, but are able to the job right)

Individualism has withered under the pressure of the mass media and a distaste for eccentricity.

(A blatant lie. In fact, there are a whole lot of individualists around us; it is only the lying democratic media who do not publish about them)

Self-reliance died long ago.

(A blatant lie again; in fact the economic difficulties that are coming to the Western world with the onslaught of democracy and globalism made a whole lot more people self-sufficient, than in the 1950s, when industrial society was in full bloom)

We depend on others to repair our cars, grow our food, fix the refrigerator, and write our operating systems.

(A typical media manipulation. The goods that we buy on the market do not make us dependable upon other people, because markets are highly competitive and the choice of goods wide. If one producer ceases to behave rationally, he is fast replaced by a competitor; the same is true for consumers. Thus we are not dependent on people from whom we buy or to whom we sell; of cause it is possible to talk about dependence upon a market as an institution, but such dependence has always existed even in 19th century. In fact, for survivalists like Amish, willing to reduce their consumption, full self-sufficiency on a communal or individual level has become much more attainable and much less painful as in the past)

The habit of reliance on others has reached the point that even the right of self-defense has come to be regarded as wrong-minded.

(Again for whom, Mr. Fred Reed? Not for American people; as the polls consistently demonstrate, and which your fellow journalists do not report)

The gain is that these things are usually done better than we could do them ourselves. The loss is that we are utterly dependent on others. As things become more technologically complex, the reliance on specialists grows. Almost anyone could learn to repair a flathead Ford, but today’s Corolla is vulnerable only to a trained technician. Of course it’s a better car.

(Again, Mr. Fred Reed: if you can’t repair your car, it is your problem. Personally, I can: sometimes it takes time to get required details because of monopolistic producer-service agreements, but it is still can be done with a basic vocational training. A different thing is that many young people do not go into vocational training any more, again because of the media propaganda of easy success. But it is their problem)

Most poignantly, we are become a nation of employees, fearful of losing our jobs.

(To repeat: a misleading term “employee” is used here to detract attention from the profound occupation shift the U. S. underwent since 1980s.

Prisoners of the retirement system, afraid of transgressing against the various governing bodies before whom we are helpless, unable to feed ourselves, we are at least comfortable.

(Well, this may be true of the baby boomers generation that forsook their childbearing responsibilities, and will bear the painful consequences of their choices. The younger generation is however different: it will not go into socialist trap)

We are not masters of our lives.

(Again a media manipulation: Mr. Reed, perhaps, is not, personally I, and people I know, are)

Dense populations and the complexity of machines and institutions lead inevitably to regulation, which leads to acceptance of regulation and therefore of authority, which becomes part of the national character.

(Hogwash, easily disproved by a slew of Republican examples, including Hong Kong, where there is little regulation, even as population density is one of the highest in the world)

This we see.

(In fact, we do not see it)

In my lifetime the change has been great. In rural Virginia in the Sixties, you could walk down the road with your rifle to shoot beer cans, swim in the creeks without supervision and life guards and “flotation devices” approved by the Coast Guard, and generally be left alone. Now, no. Regimentation has grown like kudzu.

(Well, in New Hampshire, as in many rural areas, there is still little regulation. The change Mr. Fred Reed saw, however, was the result of one generation of Americans forsaking of their responsibilities: and now we are going to turn the things around)

We obey

(Some obey, most do not, Mr. Fred Reed. Fortunately, for all the lying democratic propaganda to the contrary, Americans are still a free spirited people)

The new generation knows nothing else..

(A blatant lie easily disproved by factual evidence)

At the moment we see a great increase in regulation in the guise of preventing terrorism. Other pretexts could have been found and, I suspect, would have been: fighting crime or the war on drugs or something. The result might have been a drift rather than a headlong rush toward control. But sooner or later, technology determines politics. The computer, not the Constitution, is primary.

(What a stupid conclusion, a product of erroneous thought process. It is not a gun that kills, it is the criminal, who would otherwise kill with a knife or a sword – but to a lying democratic journalist this thing seems incomprehensible)

I suspect that the concern about terrorism is just a particular manifestation of a growing obsession with safety. Not too long ago, Americans were a hardy breed—foolhardy at times, but the one comes with the other.

(Most of them still are, Mr. Reed, except for baby boomer lemmings)

Now we see attempts to eliminate all risk everywhere. Cities fill in the deep ends of swimming pools and remove diving boards. We require that bicyclists wear helmets, fear second-hand smoke and the violence that is dodge ball. Warnings abound against going outside without sun block. To anyone who grew up in the Sixties or before, the new fearfulness is incomprehensible.

(Well we are still free to ignore warnings, and to defund the governments that are wasting our money in such a fashion: and this can be done with an effort quite easily)

The explanation I think is the feminization of society, which seems to be inseparable from modernity.

(Hogwash, again. The drive to feminism was a subjective, not an objective phenomenon, and can be easily driven back)

The nature of masculinity is to prize freedom over security; of femininity, security over freedom. Add that the American character of today powerfully favors regulation by the group in prefe4rence to individual choice. Note that we do not require that cars be equipped with seat belts and then let individuals decide whether to use them; we enforce their use. The result is compulsory Mommyism, very much a part of today’s America.

(Fred Reed’s forgot to mention that seat belt rules are the product of regulation, not laws. When a contrarian proposal were suggested they were always favored by the people, and often passed. And should the men behave manly, no matter what the costs associated with it, the society would soon change in a more desirable direction)

Does technological civilization inevitably lead to totalitarianism? Certainly the general fear, in combination with technology, makes a sort of soft Stalinism easy. Just now we move toward national ID cards, smuggled in by linking records of drivers’ licenses. Passports, scanned and linked to data bases, provide a record of our travels. Security cameras proliferate. Some of them read the license plates of all passing cars. Email can be monitored, phones easily and undetectably tapped. Now the government is experimenting with X-ray scanners for airports that provide near-pornographic images of passengers. Whether these will be used for dictatorial ends remains to be seen. Historians may one day note that surveillance, when possible, is inevitable.

(Again, what a stupid conclusion, a product of erroneous thought process. It is not a gun that kills, it is the criminal, who would otherwise kill with a knife or a sword – but to a lying democratic journalist this thing seems incomprehensible)

What then is the national character today? I think we are first an obedient people.

(You are wrong)

We submit.

(You do, we don’t)

We are comfortable with authority, and seem to be most comfortable when we are told what to do.

(Most people have been such, yet it did not affect our precious rights and freedoms in the past, because a determined minority protected them. Baby-boomers have dodged their responsibility, but a new generation will not)

We prize security, safety, and predictability.

(You do, we don’t)

Increasingly we accept being treated like convicts at airports and elsewhere.

(You do, we don’t)

We want to be taken care of.

(You do, we don’t)

We can do few things for ourselves.

(You can’t, we can)

We expect government to decide much that was once regarded as outside of government’s ambit.

(You do, we don’t)

And we are to the marrow of our bones incapable of rising against the creeping tyranny.

(You are, we are not)

So much for Marlboro Man.

(Or to be more exact, so much for the lies and manipulations of lying democratic journalist Fred Reed)

Conclusion: Fred Reed projects the weakness of his character, and the lies and manipulations which he accustomed to use in his media career to further the democratic party line on the character of American people. But the reality of American national character is very different from Reed’s misrepresentation of it: a sizeable bulk of the U. S. population is still free-spirited, independent and self-reliant, and it is going to restore the system of the constitutional government and return America to its former splendor.

Why Silver's Ready to Double in a Year

First, here's the silver story in a nutshell.

Silver is money, the only true money of the masses, the people. Gold is for kings. Silver is for change, and is the "workhorse" money.

Silver has been consumed by industry. The world is running out of silver; industry consumes more than the mines produce.

There's no room for any investment demand to enter the silver market without driving the price sky high. We've just begun to see a little bit of investment demand.

There is way too much paper money; the dollar is fruad. There's nothing backing the dollar. If the U.S. gold hoard exists, it would back only 1% of the value of the dollar. That's an enormous amount of fraud.

And all frauds have one thing in common. They end very suddenly. The thing that's going to happen, when the fraud of the dollar ends, is that dollars won't buy anything. And so what will people be using for money? They will be using gold and silver.

So you'll have huge amounts of monetary potential demand entering the gold and silver markets.

On top of the scarcity factor, silver could go up a tremendous amount.

The current ratio of silver to gold is 50:1, 50 ounces of silver will buy 1 ounce of gold. The historic ratio is 15:1, that means you can make 3 times your money owning silver, but if we do better than the historic ratio, due to the scarcity factor, we could make 6-10 times as much money in silver than in gold.

That's why I'm in silver.

But I run silverstockreport.com and own silver stocks due to leverage.

People know that if silver is going to go up, they are going to buy the silver stocks. If the world needs gold and silver that badly, then the companies that produce it are going to be earning tremendous amounts of money.

You want the stocks for the leverage.

If silver goes up 3 times, and you have a marginal producer of silver with a reasonable P/E ratio of 10, their earnings can skyrocket and can go up 3000% as silver goes up three times, so the stock price can outpace silver.

Now, we need to talk about P/E ratios more in a minute, but first, silver.

In the last few years, silver has been going up by 30% per year minimum. And I believe we are now on the edge, on the verge, of silver going up 100% in the next year.

A lot of other metals and oil are up 500%.

Oil was up from $10 to a high of $70, now $60.

Zinc from $.35 to a high of $2.00,. now $1.50/lb.

Copper, from $.75 to a high of $4.00, now $3.00/lb.

Lead from $.20 to $.90/lb.

Nickel from $3 to $22/lb.

Uranium, Indium, Molybdenum, Selenium, Cobalt are all up 1000% or more.

Silver, just to keep up with the other commodities, if silver were to go up 500% from the bottom at $5/oz, that would be would be $25.

And I really think that now it's silver's turn.

So, with silver at about $13, we are going to see silver rise to $25, or gain about 100% real quick.

That's just my opinion, just what I think, just from my experience watching the markets.

But silver's going to do better in the long run than a lot of the other commodities, because nobody's going to store, or go out and buy $5000 worth of oil, and store it in 80 barrels on their front lawn.

But anybody can go to the coin shops and buy $5000 worth of silver and put it in the corner of their back closet.

There's a reason why silver is money and nothing else is! (except for fraudulent paper)!

Silver does the job of money!

Oil doesn't. It's too messy, it's too heavy, too bulky, too inconvenient.

Silver--with such an enormous amount of value packed in such a small quantity is really fantastic.

But people complain that you get so much silver for your money, but that is exactly why you want to buy it!

So, getting back to stocks.

If a stock earns 33% of its market cap in a year, that's a P/E ratio of 3.

Therefore, I'm not interested in stocks with P/E's higher than 3, because I believe silver is going to go up 30% in the next year, minimum!

So a stock with a P/E ratio of 3 is a "break even" with silver at 30%.

Again, I'm not in stocks to break even with silver. I'm in the stocks only for one reason--to outperform silver. If the stocks are not going to outperform silver, there's no reason for me to own them. I have no reason to own stocks that are going to go up less than 30% in a year.

I want stocks to outperform silver!

My goal is to acquire more silver, not to acquire more dollars.

Now think about this:

A P/E of 1 is a "break even" with silver going up 100% in a year. And I expect silver to go up 100% in the next year, or 18 months.

This chart also points to silver rising about 100% in the next year or so:

Now, I'm sure many of you have heard of the Dow to Gold Ratio.

Historically, it returns to 1:1, so that means if we expect $3000/oz. for gold, that’s 3000 for the Dow. Or 30k for each. Either way. Or it could be 50,000 for each, or 100,000.

At that 1:1 ratio, Dow/gold, gold is going up by about 20% per year, bonds are paying 20% per year, and the P/E ratio for the stocks is about a 5, where companies earn 20% per year compared to their market cap. That's the baseline of normal values. Well, not really, because in a "normal" world, there is no such thing as the fraud of paper money.

The point is that this is the reason why P/E ratios return to such low values. There's no point in buying a P/E ratio higher than 5 if the price of gold is increasing by 20%! They are on par!

That's the true "opportunity cost" of not owning gold or silver right now in this bull market.

Gold and silver are going to continue to do better than most stocks, until P/E ratios come back to a normal 5-7.

Now, many mining stocks, especially emerging producers, have P/E or forward P/E ratios of about 1-2 or 3. And wall street is not buying because they don't understand, and have not done the research to find these stocks, and/or the companies are badly promoted. Some of these stocks, I'm just finding out about in the last month or so.

But still, two weeks ago, I bought silver. I bought a lot of silver. Why?

If silver's ready to run 100%, I need a P/E ratio of as low as 1 just to compare, just to "break even" with where I think silver is going.

And if silver is about to outperform copper and zinc, then a copper or zinc stock with a P/E of 2-3 may not even keep up with silver.

My own rule of basic portfolio management is to put the most of your assets into the thing that you think will go up the most.

So, I have 17% of my portfolio now in physical silver.

If I include gold and palladium (I don’t own any platinum), I'd have 21% of my overall portfolio in the physical metals. If you want to know more, of what percentage I've allocated to about 30 stocks, and which stocks those are that I expect to go up by 30% per year or more, or with very, very low P/E ratios or forward P/E ratios, please subscribe to the "look at my portfolio" at silverstockreport.com.

Thank you.

In my practice, I often face the ignorance of basic financial concepts on behalf of otherwise perfectly learned and intellegent men, who, thus must fully rely on professional's advice without understanding what's going on, or their "informed consent" as it is called. So, I was amazed to find recently an excellent American introduction into basic financial concepts in form of a CD with 14 songs, recorded by someone calling himself Steve Dore. The songs lasing a little less than a half an hour could be listened to here, providing the listener with understanding of basic financial concepts: http://inflationnation.us/CD%20INFOR...notespage.html
