Energy prices soar almost 30 percent under Biden — 13 times faster than previous 7 years: analysis

By Aneeta Bhole

Energy prices, particularly the cost of electricity, have skyrocketed since President Biden took office, outpacing inflation and putting a dent in Americans’ wallets.

Since January 2021, electricity prices have soared 29.4% — 50% more than overall inflation — rising 13 times faster than the previous seven years, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

Meanwhile, in those seven years before Biden took office, electricity prices rose just 5%.

Migrants thank Biden for letting them in as US Border Patrol’s San Diego processing centers reach eye-popping 245% capacity

SAN DIEGO, California — The US Border Patrol has more than twice as many migrants as they can hold in the San Diego area of the southern border — and immigrants there were thanking President Biden for letting them in.

The agency’s processing centers in the region are 245% capacity, as 1,812 migrants were being detained as of Friday in facilities normally meant to hold 750, according to agency data exclusively obtained by The Post.

With the influx — and the fact that migrants can only be held 72 hours — there’s been more than 125,000 migrants released onto the streets of San Diego since September.

Migrants who were exiting Border Patrol buses this week told The Post they were from a diverse array of countries — from China, India and Egypt to Jordan, Mauritania and Colombia.

“Thank you America, thank you American president,” a migrant from India said after being dropped off by Border Patrol and allowed to enter the US.

A family or migrants from China told The Post they paid $70,000 to come to the U.S. via Thailand and Turkey.

They shared that they were going to an address in Orlando, which they had written on a small piece of paper.

“We followed a route to get here shared with us in China,” one of the Chinese men said, adding that he came to visit relatives.

Trump campaigns in key battleground state; Biden will visit next week during Trump's 'hush money' trial

2024 showdown: First Trump, and then Biden, making stops in swing state Pennsylvania over the next couple of days

By Paul Steinhauser Fox News
Published April 13, 2024 9:00am EDT

President Biden will make a three-day campaign swing through Pennsylvania next week while former President Trump will be in court for the start of his hush money trial.

But Trump is hitting the campaign trail on Saturday with two stops in Pennsylvania, a crucial battleground that may determine the outcome of the former president's 2024 election rematch with President Biden.

The former president will hold a fundraiser in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Saturday before headlining a rally in Schnecksville, which is located in the Lehigh Valley — a highly competitive part of the northeastern swing state.

The region is also home to one of the state's largest population of Latino voters, a group that polls suggest Trump has made gains with as he runs a third straight time for the White House.

Trump's visit to Pennsylvania will be his third this year. He made a Feb. 9 stop in Harrisburgh to address NRA members gathered at the group's Great American Outdoor Show.

Biden prolongs Ukraine crisis to avoid admitting failure – US lawmaker

Senator Ron Johnson has argued that Washington’s foundering proxy war is only making Russia stronger

US President Joe Biden is dragging out an “obviously” lost cause in Ukraine because his administration will not admit to its policy failures in trying to weaken Russia, Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) has claimed.

“At some point in time, you have to recognize reality and you have to base your decisions on reality,” Johnson said on Thursday in an interview with podcast host Glenn Greenwald. “But the Biden administration is not willing to do that, the generals aren’t willing to do that, because they’d have to admit they’ve been wrong all along.”

Johnson was the only US lawmaker to attend the inauguration of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in May 2019. He said Zelensky wanted to make peace with Russia then, realizing that Kiev had no chance of retaking Crimea, and sought to resolve the conflict shortly after Moscow launched its military offensive in February 2022.

Biden, Harris announce new campaign push for LGBTQ support, call members 'a force to be reckoned with'

Overall, 41% of voters approve of the job President Biden is doing, while 58% disapprove

By Lawrence Richard Fox News
Published April 10, 2024 8:42am EDT

President Biden and Vice President Harris’ re-election campaign has announced a new push to win over a group of voters that it claims is "a force to be reckoned with." The initiative comes just seven months ahead of the president’s rematch with the presumptive Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.

As Biden seeks to win another term in the White House despite facing historic low approval ratings, Team Biden-Harris announced the launch of "Out for Biden-Harris." The campaign describes the program as a national effort to mobilize LGBTQ+ voters and community members across the country.

In a statement, Biden-Harris 2024 campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said, "LGBTQ+ voters are a force to be reckoned with."

"They were critical to our victory in 2020, and they will be critical to winning again this November," Chavez Rodriguez added. "That’s why we’re thrilled to launch Out for Biden-Harris, which will harness the LGBTQ+ community’s organizing prowess to reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris this November."

Biden admin announces $300 million in grants to support illegal immigrants through DHS

In addition to this allocation, DHS has announced an extra $340 million through the Shelter and Services Program-Competitive grant program.

Hayden Cunningham
Apr 12, 2024

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced the allocation of $300 million in grants through the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) aimed at bolstering support services for migrants who came over the border illegally and are now in the US.

Of the total amount, $275 million will be immediately distributed, with an additional $25 million reserved for later in the year to accommodate evolving operational requirements. The funding will primarily assist with temporary shelters and other associated costs related to housing and services for illegal immigrants navigating the immigration system.

Sen. John Fetterman says Biden should not rule out US involvement in an Israeli campaign against Iran

By Hanna Panreck, Fox News
Published April 14, 2024, 2:37 p.m. ET

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., said he didn’t agree with President Biden on his stance that the U.S. wouldn’t join in an offensive operation against Iran during an interview on Sunday, saying he would never “capitulate to the fringe” of his party.

CNN host Jake Tapper asked Fetterman to respond to reports that Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the U.S. wouldn’t participate in any offensive operations against Iran during a conversation on Saturday.

“Do you think that’s the right call or should direct U.S. military action, as some of your colleagues in the Senate are suggesting, should that be on the table?” he asked.

“I don’t agree with that, I just think we should follow and have Israel’s back in the situation. I don’t agree with the president. That doesn’t change anything that he‘s a fantastic president. I‘m proud to stand with him and campaign for him and vote for him,” he responded.

House tees up 17 bills related to Iran/Israel for this week

Expect a 'robust foreign policy week'

By Chad Pergram Fox News
Published April 14, 2024 9:57pm EDT

FOX is told to expect a "robust foreign policy week" after this weekend’s events between Iran and Israel.

The House is ditching its original plan for "appliance week" and putting 17 bills on the floor "to hammer" Iran or show support for Israel.

Eleven bills will be on the suspension calendar, meaning they require a 2/3 vote to pass. One of those bills would ratchet up sanctions on Iran.

Six bills would head to the Rules Committee. Included in that batch is a bill to condemn Iran for the attack
