2020 Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) wrote the profile of Christine Blasey Ford for Time Magazine’s annual “100 Most Influential People” list, lauding the California professor for making what she called an “unfathomable sacrifice” in bringing forward allegations of sexual misconduct against then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Kamala Harris vows to take executive action on gun control if elected

By Nikki Schwab
May 12, 2019 | 3:31pm

Sen. Kamala Harris pledged Sunday that she will pursue executive action on gun control measures if Congress fails to act in the first 100 days of her presidential administration.

“I’m proposing, one, that if by my 100th day in office when elected president of the United States, if the United States Congress fails to put a bill on my desk … then I’m prepared to take executive action because that’s what’s needed: action,” Harris, a California Democrat and 2020 hopeful, said in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Kamala Harris: We Learned Today Mueller Would Have Indicted Trump — Barr ‘Misled’ the American People

By PAM KEY 29 May 2019

Wednesday on MSNBC, 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) reacted to special counsel Robert Mueller statement earlier regarding his probe into Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election.

Harris said, “I think what we are clear about is that we learned a few things today; most importantly what we learned is that the special counsel did not return an indictment because of that memo. In other words, but for that memo, I believe a fair inference from what we heard is there would have been indictments returned against this president.

According to a new poll, Trump would lose to Kamala Harris:

Poll suggests 6 2020 Democrats would beat Trump in head-to-head matchup

At least 6 Democratic presidential hopefuls would defeat President Trump in a head-to-head matchup if it were held now, according to a new Quinnipiac University national poll that surveyed 1,214 registered voters nationwide.

The bottom line: In descending order, former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Kamala Harris, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Cory Booker all polled higher in a direct one-to-one matchup with Trump.

Kamala Harris Continues to Lie About Charlottesville ‘Very Fine People’ Hoax

By JOEL B. POLLAK 16 Jun 2019

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) continues to lie by claiming that President Donald Trump called neo-Nazis in Charlottesville “very fine people” in 2017, repeating the false claim on Friday.

Harris tweeted a number of dubious claims, including the “very fine people” hoax:
(...)
As Breitbart News and others have explained — and as even CNN, after much pressure, has finally admitted — Trump did not refer to neo-Nazis and white supremacists as “very fine people.” He specifically said he was not referring to them, saying that they should be “condemned totally.” He said he was referring to legitimate, non-violent protesters on either side of the controversy over a removal of a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee from a public park.

Sen. Harris is among the many Democratic presidential candidates who continue to repeat the Charlottesville hoax, long after it has been thoroughly and publicly debunked. Former vice president Joe Biden also continues to refer to the hoax, and used it to launch his campaign in April.

By MATTHEW BOYLE 1 Jul 2019

In a national poll by CNN after the first Democrat presidential primary debates last week, former Vice President Joe Biden remains the 2020 frontrunner but only by a slim and shrinking margin. While Biden stumbles, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is surging now, according to this poll, and is firmly in second place behind Biden.

Five Times Kamala Harris Flip-Flopped on Key Issues

By HANNAH BLEAU 28 Jun 2019

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) claimed she misheard Thursday night’s debate question in which she signaled support for the elimination of private insurance, but this is not the first time she has swiftly reversed positions on that topic and a range of other issues.

Many say Harris had somewhat of a breakout night, aggressively pushing Joe Biden (D) on issues of race. However, the debate also revealed Harris’ stunning ability to swiftly reverse positions on key topics.

Here are five of Harris’ most notable flip flops of the past.

Kamala Harris took money from firm behind Jeffrey Epstein plea deal

By Kate Sheehy
July 15, 2019

Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris ripped a law firm’s work on a controversial plea deal involving deep-pocketed pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — the same day she took money from some of its attorneys at a fundraiser.

Harris had no problem allowing six partners from the firm, Kirkland & Ellis, help raise dough for her campaign last week by hosting the Chicago event — which even featured her husband, lawyer Douglas Emhoff, the Associated Press reported.

Yet the same day, she joined several other presidential contenders in blasting the 2008 plea deal that the law firm helped negotiate for Epstein, which allowed him to skirt federal sex charges in Florida.

Kamala Harris Renews Pledge to Bypass Congress with Executive Gun Control

by AWR Hawkins 14 Jul 2019

Kamala Harris used a July 13, 2019, tweet to renew her pledge to bypass Congress and enact executive gun control.

Harris tweeted: “Gun violence is the leading cause of death for young Black men in America. We must stop this. When president, I will take executive action to ensure guns do not fall into the wrong hands.”

Executive gun control has been a staple of Harris’ campaign for the Democrat presidential nomination.

On April 22, 2019, Breitbart News reported Harris’ plan to give Congress 100 days to pass new gun controls if she wins the White House. Should Congress fail to act, Harris made clear she would simply use executive orders to achieve the gun control she desires.

To date Harris has pledged executive action to require private gun sellers to conduct background checks on their sales, to direct the ATF to take away the license of any gun dealer who breaks the law, and to ban fugitives from buying guns.

Dem campaign insiders fume about Kamala Harris flack

By Oli Coleman
August 5, 2019

Democratic campaign insiders are getting tired of one of their own making what they say are dubious claims. And they’d had enough Thursday, when Kamala Harris’ press guy, Ian Sams, boasted on CNN that President Barack Obama had “supported” Harris “in her first district attorney’s race all the way back in 2003,” even though, various campaign insiders noted with some exasperation, Obama didn’t meet Harris until 2004.

The claim comes after Sams tweeted a story in March about “a woman in a MAGA hat” who spoke to Harris for “a minute.”

“Swear to God,” Sams said, “she then took off her MAGA hat and told Kamala she isn’t with Trump anymore.”

Kamala Harris fires entire New Hampshire campaign field team

By Ben Feuerherd
November 1, 2019

Kamala Harris has reportedly axed her entire campaign field team in New Hampshire — the same day fellow struggling Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke announced he would end his bid for the nomination.

The Harris campaign closed all three of her field offices in the state and laid off more than 10 workers, CBS News reported.

“A handful of staffers will run a scaled-down campaign out of the Manchester headquarters,” a campaign spokesperson told CBS News in a statement.

Kamala Harris Accidentally Highlights Failures in Campaign Hype Video

Hannah Bleau 9 Nov 2019

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) accidentally highlighted some of her greatest failures as part of a campaign hype video posted on the three-year anniversary of the 2016 election.

November 8, 2019, marked three years from President Trump’s upset victory over failed Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton. Harris, one of the many Democrat candidates who hopes to challenge Trump in 2020, released a “hype” video, touting her accomplishments without realizing that it accidentally highlighted some of her greatest failures.

“It’s been three years to the day since our national nightmare was elected president,” Harris wrote.

“Since then, I’ve taken on Jeff Sessions, Bill Barr, Brett Kavanaugh, and more in the Senate. And I’m ready to defeat Trump in 2020,” she continued, failing to realize that those three battles — with former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Attorney General William Barr, and Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — are three she lost handily, as all were ultimately confirmed:
(…)
Twitter users were quick to question her for touting those failed fights as some of her greatest accomplishments.

“And they’re all doing just fine. So, not sure that’s a list of accomplishments,” one user wrote.
