Griffin setting himself up as a hardcore National Socialist, ready to jump into the fray with the radical BNP. Party Leader John Tyndall needed an editor of Spearhead so he could concentrate on building the party. Valarie Tyndall warned her husband NOT to let Griffin in, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Correction: Griffin and Paul Ballard published 'The Rune'. Gertner was sacked for being a Jewish plant (plenty of evidence to support that). Later, it transpired that Gertner was secretly married to a Phillipina.
