Fidesz talks like Jobbik, says party leader Gabor Vona
By MTI

The political rivals of Jobbik will only be able to eliminate the party if they implement its programme, party leader Gabor Vona said on Saturday.

Vona analysed Hungary’s political situation and outlined his radical nationalist party’s plans for next year’s elections in a camp organised by the Transylvanian Hungarian youth group EMI at Borzont, central Romania.

“Fidesz speaks like Jobbik but acts like the Socialists,” he said.

Vona appreciated ruling Fidesz’s policy towards Hungarian communities abroad which he said was inspired by Jobbik’s programme but criticised it for being confined to symbolic acts.

He also blamed the government for its failure to raise the issues of the post-WWI Trianon peace treaty and the autonomy of Szekler Land in international forums.

Vona said Fidesz had not fulfilled its promises in job creation and public security. The ruling party also failed on its promises to hold to account those involved in illegal practices, he said.

Except it acts like the Socialist.

Vona is not saying Fidesz has copied Jobbik policy, but that it has copied Jobbik rhetoric while implementing very few of Jobbik's policies, in that regard what is said and done by Fidesz are two very different things. On one hand it uses some Jobbik rhetoric, but acts like the Socialist.

On everything Fidesz does it is very slow at implementing their own policies and doing have measures to push them forward.
