pro-tip: never talk about yourself in third person, you will always regret it, ten seconds after you do it. yeah it feels good - that's why you dont do it; is masturbatory

let others discover you have red hair. it's...not really that hard to figure out.

Gab will be developing a registrar, it appears. Pretty much, Gab will be the only game in town for our side.

Gab has exploded, for me, the last 3 weeks. From 600 followers to 1240 and rising rapidly. This is very good news. If you're on Twitter, quit it and join Gab.

Gab has the whole field open to it. Because all the majors are going to censor in exactly the same way: Facebook, Youtube, Twitter. Registrars will censor too, or yield to pressure. Hosts, same thing.

GesammtUtilWerk - like GesammtKunstWerk - a utility/artwork encompassing all the different pieces.

A registrar (buy your url), a host (serve your site), a microblog (Twitter but with free speech), a video server (Youtube w/o the censorship), a money transfer mechanism (paypal that doesn't discriminate), a crowdsourcing platform (a gofundme or patreon that plays fair).

It's all open. There's a strong market for all of it. Just a matter of how quickly Gab can get to it.

Gab has been down all day for me, can someone else confirm ? I am in Canada right now, so maybe it's being blocked- anything is possible w/ these Commies.

Alex- I have been involved in a lot of ICO's...The window is open for Torba if he's quick I think he can raise 100M + because he has a working product and active users. Most of these projects have nothing but a team and a white paper,
probably 90% are scams.
I don't know how they are going to tackle the registrar issue, even if they form their own, ICANN can still block their accreditation when pressured . I think I saw mentioned it was better to buy an existing one .

Keep in mind the main reason a domain costs money is because a registrar is forced by ICANN to police the domain, which means the radical left can (and probably will) try to get a free speech registrar shut down by overwhelming it with bogus claims, then complain to ICANN about the registrar not enforcing US law. There have been incidents in the past with the far-left posting child pornography on far-right forums.

What Gab needs to do is run its own DNS server and use one of the ICANN alternatives that allow free unpoliced domain names like https://www.opennic.org. Then we need to encourage people to update their DNS server in their Internet configuration.

Keep in mind that OpenDNS was previously blocking the Daily Stormer's Albanian domain name before it was taken down officially, and 2% of the Internet uses OpenDNS as its DNS server, meaning that even if the Daily Stormer gets a DNS from Gab, several DNS servers will block it.

This is gonna be a multi-front war.

I am clueless w/ this stuff , apparently there are multiple ways (((they))) can police web content...

Weev:
Domain name registrars aren't the only level an Internet service can be censored.

Unless you own an anycast network with dozens of PoPs worldwide, when DDoS proof DNS providers (only 5 of these) drop you, you're dead. And ARIN/RIPE will jack your IPs.

Andrew Auernheimer · @weev

we have Tor, and it mitigates ICANN and also ARIN/RIPE-NCC/APNIC/AFRINIC/LACNIC (we'll all have to worry about those jacking IPs when we have ICANN beat, mark my words)

There are.

It seems already forgotten that OpenDNS blocked the Daily Stormer, which means that even if the DS gets a new domain that doesn't get taken down 2% of the Internet won't be able to connect to it because OpenDNS will block it, and I wouldn't be surprised if Google and other big companies follow suit, especially if there is no backlash.

So just getting a domain registrar is probably not going to do the trick.

What we need is a giant graphic showing all levels and categories or services related to getting a site on the web, and show how they can be attacked or defended. I have never seen such a thing.

That's right: a chart explaining it all in Everyman language. Since the beginning of this kike/Silicon Valley commie purge, I've seen all kinds of acronyms I'd never even heard of - and more every fucking day: ARIN/RIPE-NCC/APNIC/AFRINIC/LACNIC.......

Only dedicated computer geeks understand - or WANT to understand - all this incredibly arcane tech bullshit. Of course the scum know that.

It's like an infinite regression, basically.

Back in the young days, they would try to chase us off one host. If it didn't work, they would run upstream. Many hosts were renting their space from a larger host upstream. And in the end, there are a few giant suppliers providing most of the market.

And this is just the technical-commercial part. The SPLC want to make a seamless legal network banning anything non-jew-communist as hate.

ARIN/RIPE-NCC/APNIC/AFRINIC/LACNIC are 5 organizations in charge of the 4 billion available IP addresses. They should only hand out IP addresses to ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and large companies

I think Stormfront is privately hosted, so their ISP could terminate their Internet service, and depending on where you live there may not be a whole lot of options. Let me see if I can make a quick overview.

Hosting: Private (your own computer at home), Commercial (using a hosting company), Distributed (blockchain, freenet, ad p2p technology)

DNS: Private (run your own DNS server), Commercial (using DNS companies), Distributed (blockchain, like the .bit domain)

Protection: Private (run your own DDoS protection software), Commercial (Cloudflare), Distributed (TOR network)

Anonymization: Private (run a tor site), Commercial (anonymous hosting), Distributed (I2P Invisible Internet Project)

The downside of TOR is that 1) You still need a host 2) Special software is required to view the website 3) No easy to remember domain name 4) No indexing by Google except for onion.link and similar proxies

The biggest weakness of TOR is that the host itself can get taken down, with the police taking the server, or the ISP turning off the Internet.

And of course the content becomes hard to access to the general public, which then means we lose the propaganda war.

Gab Declares War On Google, Files Lawsuit

Free speech social media site Gab AI, Inc. filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Google for violations of the Clayton Act and Sherman Act. The lawsuit stems from Google removing Gab from its Google Play Android app store on spurious grounds of “hate speech” arising from posts by users.
Google did not accuse Gab of hate speech, but used third party content as a pretext to justify its own business ends. Gab, a startup, aims to bring “folks together of all races, religions, and creeds who share in the common ideals of Western values, individual liberty and the free exchange and flow of information.”

According to Gab’s attorney, Marc Randazza, Google’s conduct is a straightforward violation of the antitrust laws “Google Play and Android have monopoly power in the app store market, and Google’s apps YouTube and Google+ compete directly against Gab. Google’s intimate partnership with Twitter, which also competes against Gab, makes Google’s control of all Android apps available through the Play Store a serious restraint of trade issue.”

Randazza noted, “regardless of Google’s pretextual justification for removing Gab, the effect is that they used their monopoly power in the app store to block an upstart competitor it in the social media app market, to the detriment of millions of consumers who value free speech.”

Gab’s lawsuit, regarding which the company also consulted with attorney Ronald Coleman, comes in the wake of bipartisan outrage over Google’s censorship influence on politics. According to Gab’s CEO Andrew Torba, “Google is the biggest threat to the free flow of information. Gab started to fight against the big tech companies in the marketplace, and their monopolistic conduct has forced us to bring the fight to the courtroom.”

While Coleman is a world renowned First Amendment litigator and notes that “this case has important implications for free speech online” he emphasizes, “Gab’s case is not built upon any novel theory involving the rights of private companies to engage in censorship — just Google’s restraints of trade.”

Google spends tens of millions of dollars on antitrust lobbying and lawyers each year, far more than Gab’s entire budget. Gab’s Torba acknowledges, “we are going to be outspent and outgunned, but we believe we have the law — and basic principles of fairness — on our side. Torba put it, “This may be a David and Goliath fight, but remember: David won.”

Ekrem Büyükkaya, Co-Founder, and CTO
