The #1 British Classical Music Thread
I'm surprised this hasn't been started. This is White music!!!
I'll start off with Ralph Vaughn Williams' "A Lark Ascending:" And, "Fantasia on Greensleeves," also by "V. W." Enjoy!!!!!

Sir William Walton, "Crown Imperial," performed by the Eastman Wind Ensemble of the Eastman Conservatory of Music in New York, U. S. A., recorded in about 1956, Frederick Fennel conducting. I performed under Dr. Fennel when I was in high school and actually chatted with him. He was a very witty and congenial man and we developed a friendship that lasted for awhile, Christmas cards, etc. He even kept up with me and I with him when I went into medicine instead of music.

This recording opens with "Fanfare Ablassen" by German composer Gottfried Reich and the spelling is correct. Cf:
