Default Vaping linked to host of new health risks

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Many people have turned to electronic cigarettes in hopes of avoiding the heart and cancer risks associated with smoking conventional tobacco products. But vaping appears far from benign, a trio of toxicologists reported February 11 and 12 at the American Association for the Advancement of Science annual meeting.

If used as a means to totally wean people off of tobacco products, then e-cigarettes might have value, concedes Ilona Jaspers of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. But she’s not sure. Unpublished data that she and the others presented at the meeting link e-cig products to a host of new risks. So vamping may not eliminate risks associated with conventional smoking, Jaspers maintains — “and may actually be introducing new ones.”

You can be sure that this is propaganda by the tobacco companies based on pseudo science. They are making up theoretical risks to stop people from switching to electronic cigarettes, I heard that tobacco companies already have ca. 10% loss of sales in germany due to electronic cigarettes. As you can imagine, 10% is an incredible amount of money and so they bought a whole bunch of scientists to find or make up some "risks" of electronic cigarettes. What we know for sure is that regular cigarettes are full of toxins, even radiactive ones, and that it is "not advisable" to inhale this stuff. It might be, lol, that there are a few substances in the liquid of electronic cigarettes that might perhaps be unhealthy if you consume them for years or decades, yes. It is highly unlikely as the substances contained are most likely harmless (except nicotine), but one cannot exclude it.

My advice: If you are a smoker, switch to electronic cigarettes. Practically all the toxins are gone (except nicotine) and you save 50% of the money you used to spend on regulard cigarettes. Please note that it is important to inform yourself before you buy a model (lots of garbage electronic cigarettes on the market) and always buy two (not one, TWO) or you wont be able to switch. Pick a liquid which you find tasty and pick exactly the amount of nicotine which you used to smoke in your regular cigarettes.
