Default Spain: Tensions rising at borders of ceuta and melilla

SPAIN: TENSIONS RISING AT BORDERS OF CEUTA AND MELILLA

http://www.ansamed.info/en/top/ME12.XAM12110.html

(ANSAmed) - MADRID - Tensions are rising at the borders of the Spanish enclaves in Morocco, Ceuta and Melilla. Since last weekend a committee that claims the ''liberation'' of the enclaves started putting up banners reading ''Occupied cities''.

According to El Pais, posters with ''occupied'' written on it in Spanish, French or Arabic appeared last weekend on the access roads to Findeq, a few kilometres from the border of Ceuta, after in April similar banners were spotted at the Moroccan customs house at the border of Melilla. Spanish diplomatic protests to remove the banners have failed.

The first to follow the example of the Melilla customs house was the mayor of Beni Enzar, a town with 25,000 inhabitants close to the enclave's border, who has decided that all the Municipality's documents must include the statement ''occupied city''. He has also tried, so far in vain, to get other Moroccan municipalities to follow his example.

At the border of Beni Enzar, the main access road to the city of Melilla, a few dozen Moroccan citizens demonstrated last Friday against the visit by the President of the People's Party, Mariano Rajoy, to a regional conference of his party in the Spanish enclave. The border had to be closed for more than two hours due to the protest.

The spokesman of the city of Melilla, Daniel Conesa, has asked the Spanish central government to take diplomatic steps to ask the Moroccan authorities to ban demonstrations that lead to the closing of the border.

Sentence of the trial against B&H Spain

Today 05-07-2010 the Regional Court of Madrid has published the sentence of the trial against 19 members of the Spanish Asociación Cultural Sangre y Honor (Cultural Association Blood and Honour) which are accused of forming part of an illegal organization and of possession of illegal weapons.

The defences of the accused plead for their acquittal based in the fact that there is no evidence or proof that to show the “incitement to hatred” or the illegal possession of weapons.

For these two crimes the public prosecution and the private prosecution, represented by the leftwing association “Movement Against Intolerance”, pleaded for sentences ranging from four and five years in prison, except for one accused that was only accused of selling weapons, for whom only two years were requested as he collaborated with the police.

The ten defence lawyers have pointed out to the court that their clients had no criminal record, did not promote racism, and those who have weapons in their homes was only because they were former soldiers or worked in security companies.
There is no “objective data" or "evidence" showing that "B & H" inciting hatred or that their leaders recruit minors, or that they contacted with international anti-Semitic groups, argued in their conclusions.

All police investigation is focused in a concert made in the disco "Taj Mahal" of Talamanca del Jarama (Madrid), the 12th of February of 2005 , were the police the next morning supposedly founded a box, among other material, with illegal weapons, but it is not proved that those weapons were of them, or that any weapons was sold during the concert, as no agent entered in the disco during the concert.
In the first official police statement of the inspection of the disco there is no detail of the type and quantity of the objects founded, so there is no certainty about the material analyzed by the police. Also, the cds, books sold and also bands that played were not illegal.
About the illegal weapons that some members of the group had, like Co2 sprays, extending batons, tasers brass knuckles etc.., one of the accused declared that he bought all this material legally in a shop, and he had the receipts. He said he was a “mere intermediary between a store and members of the security sector that made him wholesale orders to get a better price, like did the president of the Cultural Association, that works in this sector, for his workmates”

The sentence

In the facts, the Section reports that in December 1999 two of the accused formed the Association 'Blood and Honour' aimed by "the conservation of European culture and the promotion of youth activism to support that end."
But in reality it was the Spanish faction of an association of the same name created in the United Kingdom in 1987, taking its name 'Blood and Honour' of the magazine created by Ian Stuart Donaldson, included within the National Socialist Skinhead movement.
Along with the statutes registered in the Ministry of Interior, the organization drew up another for the organization 'Blood and Honor NS Skinhead' in stating that this division was together with the divisions of other nations in the undying fight for Europe and National Socialism.

According to the sentence, the association was from the beginning hierarchically structured and hac clear leaders. The association was defrayed by paying monthly fees for the members selling all kinds of neo-Nazi paraphernalia and concerts of groups of RAC music (Rock Anti Communist). The actions fulfilled two purposes: to serve the purposes of the organization and spread the ideology through the lyrics.
The court ordered the dissolution of the association 'Blood and Honour Spain' as they consider that their aims were to promote violence and hatred against certain groups considered inferior, and to spread the Nazi ideology to recover the Europe of Adolf Hitler.
According to the court, they not only to propagated the Nazi ideology of who was their absolute leader Adolf Hiller, but also deployed "a whole systematic and planned activity" under the disguise of an anti-globalization and intellectual artistic discourse that "seeks to glorify the executioners and justify their deeds."

The supposed leader of the organization has been condemned to 2 years of prison for being leader of an illegal organization, 1 year for possession of illegal weapons, and a penalty of 2.160 euros.

His brother has been condemned to 2 years of prison for being leader of an illegal organization, and a penalty of 2.160 euros.
Other member of the organization has been condemned to 2 years of prison for being leader of an illegal organization, 1 year and 6 months for illegal possession of fire weapons, and a penalty of 2.160 euros.

11 members of the organization have been condemned to 1 year of prison for being members of an illegal organization, and a penalty of 2.160 euros

Three of the accused have been absolved of the charges of an illegal organization and of possession of illegal weapons.

All the penalties together sum up 30.240 euros, and they will have to pay also the expenses of the trial.

The sentence could be appealed in the High Spanish court, and one of the private prosecutors, a leftist ONG against intolerance said that they will appeal the sentence as they consider it “not to hard enough”

Free for all the Nationalists!!

Holocaust survivor sues Spain to get painting back

Posted: 08/12/2010

http://www.dailybreeze.com/latestnews/ci_15759339

A Holocaust survivor living in San Diego can continue his legal battle against the Spanish government to reclaim a valuable painting he contends his grandmother was forced to sell for about $360 to escape the Nazis, a federal appeals court ruled today.

Claude Cassirer, 89, sued Spain's government in 2005, along with the foundation that runs the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, where the painting by Camille Pissarro is on display.

The foundation and Spanish government moved to have the case dismissed by a lower court judge in Los Angeles, who rejected their arguments.

Both entities appealed to the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled the case could go forward against them.

According to Cassirer's court papers, his grandmother was forced to sell the oil painting for a "pittance" --about $360 -- to escape from Nazi Germany in 1939.

The painting,"Rue Saint-Honore: Afternoon, Rain Effect," depicts a 19th century Paris street scene and is worth $20 million, according to Cassirer's court papers.

Swiss industrialist Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemiszain acquired the painting in 1976, and in 1993, the Spanish government bought his collection, including the painting, for $327 million, and placed it on display in the Madrid museum named for the art collector, according to the lawsuit. Cassirer filed the suit in U.S. District Court following a Supreme Court decision allowing U.S. citizens to sue foreign

governments in federal court over art plundered during the Nazi regime.

The case will now return to U.S. District Judge Gary A. Feess in Los Angeles for further rulings.

"We're gratified with today's decision," said Stuart Dunwoody, Cassirer's attorney. "It's just shocking that Spain, having agreed to a number of international principals regarding the return of stolen art, hasn't done the right thing and return the painting." Cassirer is "looking forward to seeing justice in his lifetime," the lawyer added.

The bald faced jew fellating arrogance with which Kwan kike courts interfere in other countries´ legal affairs is positively grotesque, this case is the business of the Spanish court and the kike, not some fucking rinky dink Kwalifornia district court judge. The Kwa´s “jew”iciary is absolutely out of fucking control, fucking robed dictators they are, doing what they like, just like the recent overturning of the ban against fag marriage in Kwali!

http://putocracia.blogspot.com/2010/08/un-escritor-frances-padre-de-ocho-hijos.html

Spain.: devastation of Pedro Varela's bookshop

On Wednesday, September 29th a general strike paralyzed the city of Barcelona.

In this opportunity, taking advantage of what the police was occupied with channelling the strikers, two tens of " Marxist antifascists " came plundered the bookshop of the Revisionist Pedro Varela.

Pedro Varela had been, on March 8th of this year 2-year-old condemned person and 9 months of prison by the Court of Barcelona to have, according to the judges, "justified" the Nazi genocide; his books and diverse objects had been seized.

Against this condemnation he deposited an appeal with the high court.

We shall have an idea of the result of the devastation of the bookshop by viewing the following very short video:

Spanish king recognized for tolerance

October 11, 2010

http://www.jta.org/news/article/2010...-for-tolerance

(JTA) -- Spain's King Juan Carlos I was recognized for his efforts to build a tolerant society in his country.

The European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation on Monday awarded the king with its first-ever European Medal of Tolerance at the Zarzuela Palace, his main residence, "in recognition of His Majesty’s lifelong dedication and devotion to tolerance and political reconciliation."

The council's co-chairs -- former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski and Moshe Kantor, president of the European Jewish Congress -- awarded the medal.

A nongovernmental organization, the council is comprised of former heads of European states, Nobel Peace Prize laureates and other individuals renowned for their achievements in promoting tolerance.

“Moral leadership symbolized by the recipient of our European Medal of Tolerance is especially significant at a time when tolerance appears to be waning in Europe in favor of racism and xenophobia,” Kwasniewski said. “King Juan Carlos personally led the transformation from dictatorship to democracy in Spain while uniting the people through a very difficult period.”

“In Europe, there are major changes, whether it is the ongoing economic crisis or changes within the European Union, which the forces of intolerance are utilizing for their benefit, and we need leadership to steer us through these challenging times.” Kantor said. “We need a strong and powerful leadership in Europe today to stand against the growing tide of extremism and hate.”

The council is calling for the institution of a European Day of Tolerance, and to work against ethnic, religious and cultural discrimination.

What happens with Pedro Varela, the Spanish publisher?

http://libertadpedrovarela.over-blog...-63147729.html

[Pedro Varela, my Spanish publisher is a very unusual idiosyncratic person: tall, with high forehead of a thinker and manners of a Spanish grandee, mountain climber, admirer of Yukio Mishima, a bachelor and vegetarian, a man of great learning and modest habits, indifferent to comforts like Don Quixote, connoisseur of arts and a friend of Palestine. He was squarely against American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and published and promoted my books on this subject.

Politically he is a maverick: he tends to radical right, is friendly to Muslims, an antipode to Geert Wilders and Zionist far right . He published many sorts of books, including books about the World War Two, and that was his undoing: they dropped him into a dungeon, the worst in Spain. Maria Poumier, our friend and my translator into Spanish, a poet who lived for years in socialist Cuba, wrote this short memoir about the man whose freedom we demand today. Israel Adam Shamir]

What happens with Pedro Varela, the Spanish publisher?

By Maria Poumier

He is in jail near Barcelona, incarcerated since Sunday December 12th (1) 2010 being sentenced for fifteen months. This is the end of a long run: the Catalonia’s court was after him since 1996, for publishing, selling and promoting books that the Jewish lobby dislike. At first, he was sued for H denial; but the supreme court of Spain decided in 2007 that this is not punishable in Spain, because “democracy relies on freedom of investigation and scientific knowledge, and history of WWII is a matter of science”. So now he was found guilty of promoting hate, and worse than that: he supposedly approved of the big H! Pedro Varela argues, how can you approve a genocide which you don’t believe it ever happened?

Usually, at present, in Spain, you don’t go to jail if the sentence is for less than 2 years, tells his lawyer. Pedro’s new sentence is for 15 months, still they sent him to jail.

The prosecutor, called Miguel Angel Aguilar, is a well known friend of SOS Racism, a Jewish-led body that needs to find racists in order to justify its existence, and find public funding by taxpayers. So is the principal judge, Mrs Estela, as Pedro explains.

The sentence punishes Pedro for his supposed intentions, not for any precise offence; but even accepting such a non-legal claim, it is not logical at all: it recognizes the right to sell any kind of books, but not the right to sell + publish + promote some of them, even when our society is based of the supreme law of marketing goods; the matter is not one particular book or another: there was no previously a list of forbidden books in Spain; most of the listing have already been published by other publishers, or are available for free on internet.

On the list of incriminating literature you can find a book by the psychologist Hans Eynseck (available on the shelves of the big Spanish store “El Corte Ingles”), a book against vivisection of animals, and some classics of the far right by German and Rumanian authors as well as the Spanish ones. But it is not a definitive list, and through the successive trials, it has grown or shrunk!!! In one of the early versions of the list even a collection of pro-Palestine essays by Israel Shamir, a Christian Israeli citizen, was found, though later it was dropped. None of the authors has been sued… until now.

So, as Pedro insists, this is much worse than the Inquisition of old: then you could obtain a list of forbidden books, and stay away from them, but now the list comes afterwards, it is absolutely foggy, and doesn’t come from any official desk, but from some mysterious foreign forces through their local servants.

As a matter of fact, Catalonia has always been seen by the rest of Spain as a Jewish enclave, with tight links with Genoa, next to its coasts. Barcelona has the only important Jewish community in Spain, with some 5000 persons. Bauer, Rothschild, Danone, are still important families of Barcelona, and the popular Catalan leader Jordi Pujol has sent his sons to a kibbutz. The Zionist thinker and art critic Max Nordau (son of Hungarian Sefaradi rabbi and poet Gabriel Sudfeld, of an old family from Saragossa) published in Barcelona his bright History of Spanish Painting, so he is considered a Catalan there. The book by Angel Pulido, an important writer who gave an intellectual renaissance to Sefer in Spain, has been translated to French by Max Nordau.

At the same time, Catalonia has strong anti-Israeli tendency: the projected Sarkozy’s conference on extending the European structures to the Mediterranean States (which means first of all institutionalizing the presence of Israel in the midst of these structures) was cancelled by the Catalan government, as a protest against the new settlements ordered by Netanyahu; last year, the Home Minister of Catalonia had lead the demos against the Gaza slaughter, and cancelled a H celebration on January 29th. This year, a popular sculptor called Eugenio Merino woke Israel’s wrath showing his “Ladder to Paradise” a prostrated Muslim under a kneeling Christian, under a standing up and laughing Rabbi

ADL and others of its ilk consider Spain as the most anti-Jewish country in Western Europe. The Jewish State was not recognized until 1986.

The US are not popular, but Wikileaks cables show that the government recently was ready to submit to the US ambassador Aguirre’s request when he asked to drop the charges against the US marines who murdered the cameraman Couso at the balcony of Hotel Palestine in Baghdad; the cases of using Spanish airports for the US “flying prisons”, and of torture in Guantanamo will be probably dropped as well. Spain considers it has “universal jurisdiction”, as Belgium claimed, until Belgian judges tried to judge Ariel Sharon …

See all the details on http://www.elpais.com/articulo/engli...30elpeng_2/Ten

In such a hot battlefield, the old-fashioned Nazi literature Pedro was selling is not a real danger for anybody, mostly because Spaniards cannot claim to belong to the supposedly sublime Nordic race: real hyperborean master folk have always laughed at the Spanish, and considered them “degenerated African bastards”. Catalans indeed have a tendency to a scornful and racist nationalism, but Varela is not a separatist Catalan. The reference to German self-adoring mythology is used against Varela because it allows viewing him as a Halloween ghost from a remote past.

Pedro Varela enjoys his peculiar fame: he is catholic, vegetarian and alpinist; he wishes to advance further in his quest. As he says, he is guilty of a kind of sin no one can withdraw or repent: the search for freedom of mind, not only for his Nazi fellows, but for whole Spain.

Anyone can help us in many ways. Be active.

· Promote Pedro Varela's blog: libertadpedrovarela.over-blog.com.

· Send your letters to him in prison, but avoid using coarse language, battle cries, or anything that could make his situation worse. The prison address is:

Centro penitenciario Brians 1,
Apartado de Correos 1000,
Martorell (Codigo Postal 08760)
Barcelona,
Spain.

· Send letters and emails of protest to politicians; link provided below.

· Send letters to the the editors of different newspapers; the best written tend to be published due to pure eagerness for controversy. With these especially you should use appropriate language, they should be brief, and if possible be related to another subject in the news at the time of writing (for example, another case where somebodies freedom of expression has been disregarded, or something similar).

· Collaborate with our collection of signatures for the abolition of laws that restrict or impede freedom of expression, and that are used as a pretext to put publishers in prison.

· Equally, you can help us by organising in your city an information point with a signature collection in favour of freedom of expression.

· Protest against the public prosecutor Aguilar. Join the protests that will be organized against this ideological prosecutor and his politicized section, that only prosecutes his most hated political rivals and ideological sectors, never having acted against the far-left, Talmudists, Islamic gangs, or immigrants (Latin Kings, etc.), etc. You can also send letters to the mass media, pointing out the public prosecutors ideological and political motives. Between us all we can make him know what it feels like to be on the defence, the same way that it happened to the corrupt “star-judge” Baltasar Garzon.

· Encourage your friends to come to the protests that will take place every first Sunday of each month in front of the prison where Pedro is being held. The protests have to always be an example of civilized people, with slogans and placards based on the disregard of freedom of expression.

· Collaborate financially with Pedro's judicial defence, and the support of this project that is the LIBRERIA EUROPA, which has to continue on as an oasis of freedom that provides everybody with the books that the modern inquisition wants to censure. In either case the bank name is La Caixa, and the account number is 2100-3003-56-2109609958.

· Ask us for stickers, and display them in your area and wherever you travel. In any case, whatever happens, they'll never silence us; and we'll make sure that the repression against us doesn't become politically profitable for them.

· Wear our badges and t-shirts.

· If you know foreign languages help us to translate our official statements so that they reach a wider audience.

· If you live outside of Spain, you can organize protests outside the Spanish consulates or embassies in your area.

Present your complaint to the ombudsman: www.defensordelpueblo.es

Spain reaffirms stance on Kosovo

13 January 2011 | 10:05 | Source: Beta

MADRID -- Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez told her visiting Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremić on Wednesday that Madrid will not recognize Kosovo.

Jimenez also voiced her support for a speedy start of the announced Belgrade-Priština dialogue.

Spain is one of the five EU member-states that have chosen not to recognize the Kosovo Albanian unilateral independence declaration made three years ago.

This position will not change even after last years advisory opinion rendered by the ICJ, Jimenez told Jeremić.

Spain's EFE news agency reported that Kosovo dominated the agenda of the first meeting between the two ministers.

A statement after the meeting said that Jimenez commended Serbia's constructive stance regarding the dialogue which, both she and her guest agreed, should start as soon as possible and without any conditions.

When it comes to relations between Serbia and Spain, they were described as "excellent".

Jimenez pledged Spain's continued support for Serbia's EU integration bid, and the country's attempts to become a candidate for membership.

Spain will also assist Serbia in carrying out reforms of its judiciary, legislation and in fighting corruption and organized crime, the statement said.

Real Madrid fans: Kosovo is Serbia!

18 мај, 2013

Real Madrid fans have pointed out in the Copa del Rey final in the match against Atletico banner reading "Kosovo is Serbia". Transparent found itself on the platform on which the most ardent supporters of the royal club were.

Spain is one of the EU countries that have not recognized the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo and Metohija, and recently their Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margalo stated that it will not happen in the future.

Then arrived the condemnation of such a gesture from Catalonia

Spanish nationalist movement will never recognize Kosovo "independence" bro. European white nations, must unite not divide and we (spanish patriots NS/NR) will never accept the NATO/Zion interests. All Europe should think the same about Kosovo and absurd separatist movemets.

The number of Catalans between 15 and 34 who go abroad in search of a "decent" job has increased by 9.24% in the last year, meaning the number of young people living outside Catalonia has increased from 50,640 in 2013, to 55,319 this year. These statistics were announced in a press conference on Thursday by Afra Blanco, the National Spokesperson for Avalot-Joves section of the UGT in Catalonia. The trade union also stated that between 2009 and 2014, 19,772 youngster had left Catalonia; a 55.62% increase in 5 years. According to Blanco, "the uncertainty, instability, part-time work, underemployment and destruction of jobs" are the factors that have driven young Catalan job-seekers to look for a "respectable life" abroad. Overall, there are 221,444 Catalans living abroad, around a quarter of which are aged between 15 and 34. Most of these young people are choosing to migrate to countries within Europe, although many are also moving to Latin America, North America and China to look for work.

This Thursday, Avalot-Joves section of the UGT released its third report entitled Joves Emigrants Sobradament Preparats, Generació JESP (In English, Young Overly Qualified Emigrants), a document that criticised "the drama" that thousands of young Catalans are "forced" to move abroad in order to achieve "their life project".

The report notes that, whilst unemployment amongst university graduates fell "slightly" last year, there has been an increase of 9.24% in the total number of young Catalans moving abroad. The figure has risen from 50,640 people between 15 and 34 years old living in a foreign country in 2013, to 55,319 this year, an alarming number compared to the 35,547 young Catalans living abroad in 2009. In fact, just last year 4,679 young people from the Autonomous Community went to look for work in a foreign country, the highest number since the crisis began.

Blanco also took the opportunity to emphasise that between 2009 and 2014 the number of young migrants leaving Catalonia increased by 55.62%, which equates to 19,722 young people moving abroad in this time period. Avalot's Spokeswoman commented that these figures do not include those young people who are part of programs that offer paid internships in foreign countries.

Blanco went on to explain that the principal reasons for this mass migration of young Catalans seeking better chances of employment abroad was "the uncertainty, instability, part-time work, underemployment and destruction of jobs". "The logic that investing more time and effort into education and training will guarantee professional success is no longer the case in Catalonia", she commented.

221,444 Catalans living abroad

In the press conference, Blanco also mentioned the statistics related to the total number of Catalans living in a foreign country. She explained that, according to the latest population census of residents living abroad, the number of Catalans that have moved away has increased by 8.98% this year, totalling 221,444 people, compared to 203,250 in 2013. She pointed out that 25% of these people were aged 15 to 34.

A variation amongst the provinces

Of the 55,319 young Catalans living in a foreign country, 43,946 are from the Province of Barcelona (where two thirds of the Catalan population live), 3,752 come from the Province of Lleida, in the west of Catalonia, 3,764 are from the Province of Tarragona, in the south of Catalonia, and 3,857 originate from the province of Girona, in the north-east.

Regarding the increases of young people leaving Catalonia since 2009, out of all four provinces the problem seems to be largest in Girona, which has shown an increase of 74.44% in the last five years. This is followed by the Barcelona Province, which demonstrated a 57.64% growth in young emigrants, then Tarragona Province with a 55.02% rise and lastly Lleida Province, which has shown an increase of 23.74%.

Europe the most popular destination for young emigrants

The report presented by Avalot-Joves UGT also analyses the specific destinations that are being chosen by young Catalans moving abroad. The most popular locations are within Europe, where 42% of young emigrants are choosing to live, particularly in countries such as France, Andorra, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The second most popular destination is South America, where 36% of young Catalans are moving to, favouring countries such as Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil. North and Central America were the next most popular regions, especially Mexico, America, the Dominican Republic and Cuba, chosen by 17% of the people. Finally, China appeared near the end of the list along with Australia and some countries in Africa.

Abolishing the Spanish Government's Labour Market Reform

According to the trade union, the inability to find a decent job, youth unemployment, job insecurity and the abolition of temporary work positions are the principal motives for educated young people to move abroad.

For this reason, Blanco has called for an abolishment of the Spanish Government's Labour Market Reform due to the "inefficiency" of the measure, considering the rise in unemployment and the precarious situation of the current job market which has been "caused by none other than the PP" (the People's Party, who currently holds office in Spain). She was referring to reform approved in 2012, which attempted to combat the rising unemployment problem in the country.

Furthermore, Blanco requested that the Government promote and "definitively" develop a radical action plan to help young people who are currently working outside of Catalonia and do not feel as though they can return home. "The situation for young Catalans is a social emergency that the Government, whichever form that may take, cannot afford to ignore".

A consequence of youth unemployment

After reaching a minimum of 8% unemployment in 2006 to 2007, Spain's job market was badly affected by the economic crisis, and unemployment rates rocketed to above 20% unemployment in 2010 and 27% in 2013. Unemployment rates in Catalonia were lower than in the rest of Spain but were also extremely high compared to the rest of the Eurozone countries.

Although the unemployment rates in Catalonia have begun to fall more recently, youth unemployment is still a big problem in the Autonomous Community. In July 2013 youth unemployment in Catalonia stood at 52.7%, compared to the 23.85% of the general Catalan population in this period.
